New Coffee Champion Crowned at TWC National Barista Championship in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, August, 2023 : The exhilarating Third Wave Coffee National Barista Championship recently brewed up a storm at Bengaluru’s Royal Orchid early this month, leaving the crowd buzzing and the espresso machines whirling with excitement.
Picture this: espresso machines whirling, the crowd buzzing with anticipation. The competition was fierce, but only one barista emerged triumphant, winning not just the champion’s title but also an incredible three-day journey to Italy, courtesy of Three One Coffee Engineering.
This once-in-a-lifetime adventure includes an immersive visit to the La Marzocco Academia, engaging espresso tasting sessions, and tours of the Accademia Del Caffe Espresso and Fiorenzato factory in Venice.

The crack of dawn marked the start of the competition, as the venue transformed into a caffeinated wonderland. The baristas showcased their skills, presenting a total of 12 mesmerizing creations to a panel of judges within a tight 15-minute time limit.
After much deliberation, Oviya from TWC South Bangalore was crowned the champion, with Viraj and Anam Shaikh from TWC West Mumbai securing the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. Oviya also earned the ‘Best Signature Beverage’ Award, adding an extra touch of magic to her coffee journey.

1) ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲುq ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ನಾಯಕರುಗಳು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇವಾಗ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಗಮ ಮಂಡಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡೆಗಣನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಷತ್ತಿಗೆ ದಲಿತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಹಿರಿಯ ದಲಿತ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರನ್ನು ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ಸೇರಿಸದೆ ದಲಿತ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಅಥವಾ ಎಸ್.ಸಿ. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಉನ್ನತ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಹಿರಿಯ ಐಆ‌ಎಸ್‌ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸುಧಾಮ ದಾಸ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಿದ ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಕರುಗಳಿಗೆ ತುಂಬ ಬೇಜಾರಿನ ಸಂಗತಿ.

ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಈ ಕೂಡಲೇ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಐಆರ್‌ಎಸ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡುವ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕೈ ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಯಕರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಎಂದು ಭೀಮ್ ಆರ್ಮಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

2) ಎಸ್‌ಸಿಎಸ್‌ಪಿ/ಟಿಎಸ್‌ ಪಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು 7(ಡಿ) ಮೂಲಕ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಅಥವಾ ದಲಿತೇತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಷೇಧ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಭೀಮ್ ಆರ್ಮಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಕೋರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಎಸ್‌ಸಿಎಸ್‌ಪಿ / ಟಿಎಸ್‌ಪಿ) ಹಣವನ್ನು ಎಸ್‌ಸಿ / ಎಸ್‌ಟಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ 5 ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿಗಳು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಇವಾಗ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಎಸ್‌.ಎಸ್ಸಿ/ಟಿಎಸ್‌ ಪಿ ಹಣ 11,144 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಗಳು ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ವಿಷಾದ.

ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಈ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಪಿ/ಟಿಎಸ್‌ಪಿ ಖಾತೆಗೆ 1,144 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ‘ಬಡ್ಡೆಟ್’ 3.27 ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋಟಿ ಹಣದ ಅಥವಾ 5 ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ 50 ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಭೀಮ್ ಆರ್ಮಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

3) ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗದ ಕಾವಾಡಿಗರ ಹಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಕಲುಷಿತ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಎಸ್‌.ಸಿ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ 5 ಜನರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲಾ 25 ಲಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ತಗೊಂಡು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ 150 ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲಾ 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಅಹಿತಕರ ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣಕರ್ತರಾದವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಭೀಮ್ ಆರ್ಮಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ರಾಜಗೋಪಾಲ್, ಡಿ – ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಭೀಮ್ ಆರ್ಮಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಪ್ರೆಸ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಥಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಬಂಜಾರಾ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರು ಸುಮಾರು 40 ರಿಂದ 50 ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದು, ಈ ಜನಾಂಗದವರು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ಸಾಲಿನ ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ ಪಕ್ಷವು ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ರಚನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಈ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯು ಅಪಾರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಮುಂದುವರೆದು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್‌ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಕೆ. ರಾಠೋಡ್’ ಇವರು 2023 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸುಮಾರು 120 ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಶೇ. 80% ರಷ್ಟು ಬಂಜಾರ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಮತಗಳು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಗೆಲುವಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಕಾರಣೀಭೂತರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಸದರಿಯವರು ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಿರತವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಜಾರ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಒದಗಿಸದೆ ಇರುವುದ ಬಂಜಾರ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಬೇಸರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬಂಜಾರ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಜಾರ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್‌ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಕೆ. ರಾಠೋಡ್‌ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಲು ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ರವರನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂಜಾರ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ 1972ರ ನತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್, ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್‌.ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಮಂತ್ರಿಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಮಂಡಲೀಕ ಜ. ಪವಾರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಥಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Karnataka gears up for Isha Gramotsava

●      To be conducted across southern states and in 1300 villages in 13 districts of Karnataka, Isha Gramotsava aims to rejuvenate the spirit of rural India.

●      Not open for professionals, Isha Gramotsava encourages rural people across communities, who otherwise don’t get a chance to play sports everyday, to come together, participate and enjoy the zest of rural life.

With an aim to rejuvenate the spirit of rural India and foster a sense of community, tradition, and healthy competition, Isha Outreach, the social development arm of Isha Foundation, will organise Isha Gramotsava, from August till September 23rd. Isha Gramtosava is India’s biggest sporting event and will be conducted across the southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Pondicherry. The grand finale will be played in front of 112-feet Adiyogi at Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore.

In Karnataka, the cluster level matches begin from August 12th with teams advancing further to play Division level match on September 3rd. More than 3200 villages in 13 districts of Karnataka including Chikkaballapur, Bengaluru rural, Kolar, Tumkur, Shivamogga and others are gearing up to host the event. Registration to participate in the event is free.

Tournament Schedule:

Cluster level matches – On August 12 & 13th in Chikkaballapura, Vijayapura, Kolara, Vijayanagara, Shivamogga, Mysuru, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi

On August 19th & 20th in Bengaluru Rural, Tumakuru, Kodagu, Chamarajanagara

On August 26th & 27th in Chikkamagaluru.

 

Division level matches – On September 3rd in Chikkaballapura and Mysuru

 

Grand Finale on September 23rd in Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore.

 

Launched in 2004 by Sadhguru, Founder- Isha Foundation, this year’s edition of Gramtosava will feature Volleyball for Men, Throwball for Women, and rural games with Tamil Nadu additionally featuring Kabaddi for Men & Women. More than 65,000 players are expected to participate in Gramotsava, with the total prize money crossing Rs 56 lakh this time. The winners in Volleyball will receive 5 lakh rupees while teams winning Kabbadi, and Throwball will receive Rs 2 lakh each.

 

Speaking about Gramotsava, Sadhguru says, “Of the many dimensions of activities that Isha has undertaken, Isha Gramotsava stands out as a major movement to revitalise rural India through sports. Discrimination of caste, creed, and gender has been broken through this movement. Many youth have overcome their addictions. Isha Gramotsava as an event has grown quite phenomenally in its size. We want to take this movement of revitalizing and transforming rural India through sport to greater heights. I would like to request all of you to participate in whatever way you can to make Gramotsava reach many more people.”

 

The unique aspect of Isha Gramotsava is that all players in the team are from the same village. This is not a tournament for professional players but is a platform which encourages everyone to play. From encouraging everyone to take up some form of a game to bringing back the fun of rural games and reviving dying traditional art forms, the whole initiative is carefully crafted so that the entire village comes together as a celebration and brings back the zest of rural life.

 

The past editions of Isha Gramotsava have witnessed 8,412 teams, comprising 1,00,167 players participating in Isha Gramotsava. Isha Outreach has been recognized as National Sports Promotion Organization ( NSPO ) by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs. In the year 2018, Isha Outreach received the “Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar” award from the Hon’ble President of India for Sports Development.
