For GenZers and Millenials, festivals are not just about the traditional ceremonies, it is also about turning festival holidays into exciting date-cations as 25% of people surveyed in Bengaluru say vacations are their favourite tradition with their partner or a date.
Festive Parties: When it comes to celebrating the festivals, 16% of people surveyed in Bengaluru say that hosting or visiting festive parties (Diwali, Christmas, etc.) is their favourite tradition with their partner or a date.

Bangalore, 2023: Marking the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, HCG Cancer Hospital Bangalore hosted a cyclothon with the theme “Ride to Beat Breast Cancer” to create awareness and educate about breast cancer for women. The chief guest for the event were well-known sandalwood actresses Ms. Neravanda Chetticha Prema and Ms. Ranjani Raghavan. The cyclothon was flagged-off by Ms. Manisha Kumar, the Regional Business Head for Karnataka, Dr. Mahesh Bandimegal, Senior Surgical Oncologist and Dr. Krithika Murugan, Surgical Oncologist, HCG Cancer Hospital, Bangalore. The participants were felicitated by the chief guests.

The event showcased a powerful display of community engagement, as participants united in solidarity for breast cancer awareness and championed the importance of early detection.

Ms. Manisha Kumar, The Regional Business Head for Karnataka, shared her thoughts on the event saying, “Breast cancer remains a significant public health concern. The cyclothon brought together people from varied walks of life to promote early breast cancer detection and treatment. ಚಿತ್ರನಟ ದೊಡ್ಡಣ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಡಿಎಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್ ಪ್ರಾಪರ್ಟೀಸ್  ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಕೆ.ವಿ. ಸತೀಸ್, ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಎಸ್.ಪಿ. ದಯಾನಂದ್‌, ಹಿರಿಯ ವಕೀಲರಾದ ಎಂ.ಎ ರೇವಣ ಸಿದ್ದಯ್ಯ  ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ  330 ಅಡಿ ಉದ್ದ, 10 ಅಡಿ ಅಗಲದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಧ್ವಜದ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹೊರವರ್ತುಲ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಎಸ್. ಪಿ. ದಯಾನಂದ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡವೇ ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅನ್ಯ ಭಾಷಿಕರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಬೇಕು. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡೋಣ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೀಳರಿಮೆ ಬೇಡ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಭಾಷೆ, ಅನ್ನದ ಭಾಷೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
