India’s cancer burden to rise to 29.8 million in 2025: ICMR report

According to a report by the Indian Council for Medical Research on the ‘Burden of cancers in India’, seven cancers accounted for more than 40% of the total disease burden: lung (10.6%), breast (10.5%), oesophagus (5.8%), mouth (5.7%), stomach (5.2%), liver (4.6%) and cervix uteri (4.3%).

Dr Ashu shah said in her recent Awareness Talk at Shangri-La Bengaluru that Breast awareness can’t prevent breast cancer, but it may help you to better understand the normal changes that your breasts undergo and identify any unusual signs and symptoms.My advise to all young girls is do self check / examination of breast every month immediately after your monthly periods & for above 40 years can go for Annually memogram as I personally believe in Early detection. Early detection is hallmark to cure the disease Early detection is having best outcome of treatment results , incurring less physical, mental and financial suffering. Early detection of cancer can also reduce the chances of serious and more painful therapies that are needed in later stages.
The interpretation of mammography images for dense breasts is somewhat difficult to detect micro calcification in dense breast which is common in younger age group , dense breasts can make it difficult to detect or visualize cancerous cells in the breasts when mammograms are taken or may require other forms of imaging techniques Like THERMOGRAPHY

Dr Ashu Shah said increasing consumption of packaged food with harmful preservatives and junk food food could be contributory factors.”The increasing burden of cancer is quite worrisome. Earlier tobacco and alcohol consumption were considered the major reasons for cancer. Obesity, radiation from mobile phone towers, lack of physical activities or daily Exercise ,vegetables grown in toxic water like rivers near industries, adulteration in food, artificial colouring of food and vegetables also increase the risk of cancers”
Being obese increases your risk of breast cancer.Many people are not aware of overweight and cancers risk like smoking. Just like ‘no smoking ‘reduces the risk of many cancers, maintaining ‘healthy weight’prevents many cancers. Since nearly 25 to 30% of global population is going to be obese in few years, it needs strong public warning. The government must restrict unhealthy food ,processed food and diet sodas which can cause overweight. Obesity is new age smoking and a slow plague which can leads to many cancers and lifestyle diseases. Maintaining optimum weight must be our health mantra. We are moving away from natural food to processed food which contains certain preservatives which increase the risk of cancers & Sudden Heart Attacks

Dr Ashu shah said my Request is Our government of India & PM Shri .NarendraModi ji & Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya ji Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers of India must be stricter in this regard. Stern action should be taken against the violators of food safety laws.The impact of food adulteration will be grave for the next generation. Adulterated food and the use of chemicals on foodstuffs are destroying our future generation. The People will frequently have to go to hospital. Their medical expenses will increase day by day which will cast a serious impact on the socio-economic conditions. So the entire nation is in a terrible risk due to food adulteration.Request our PM to take actions on this serious issue.

ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಜಾನಪದ ವಾದ್ಯಗೋಷ್ಠಿ, ಹಾಗು ಹಾಡು, ಜಾನಪದ ಡೊಳ್ಳು ಕುಣಿತ ರಸಮಂಜರಿ, ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ, ಜಾನಪದ ನೃತ್ಯ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ, ಕವಿ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ, ಹೊರನಾಡು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಹಾಗು ಒಮಾನ್ ನ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಗಳಿಂದ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆಯಲಿವೆ.

Bengaluru, November 3, 2022: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), India’s leading telecommunications service provider today announced the launch of its cutting edge Airtel 5G Plus services at the new Terminal of the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (KIAB / BLR Airport). 

As South India’s busiest airport prepares for a formal inauguration, Airtel announced the deployment of Airtel 5G Plus in Terminal 2, making it the first airport in India to get access to the ultrafast 5G network. Customers can now enjoy blazing speeds on their mobile phones while they are at the arrival and departure terminals, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration areas, security gates, baggage claim belt areas etc.  

All Airtel customers with 5G smart phones will enjoy the high speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing data plans. There is no need to change the SIM as the existing Airtel 4G SIM is 5G enabled.

The new ‘Terminal in a Garden’ is set to boost BLR Airport’s passenger capacity by an additional 25 million annually, which is only the Phase I of the expansion project. An additional 20 million passengers per annum can travel when phase II is completed. T2 will have a total built-up area of 2.55 lakh sqm. All arrivals have been planned on the ground floor while departures will happen on the first floor. A lagoon with a big outdoor garden around it, a multi-modal transport hub including Namma Metro, solar panels on the roof, artificial waterfalls, elevated walkways and green seating areas are among its special features.

Airtel 5G Plus has three compelling advantages. First, it runs on a technology that has the widest acceptance in the world with the most developed ecosystem. This ensures that all 5G smartphones in India seamlessly work on the Airtel network. Second, the company promises to deliver the best experience – between upto 30 times higher speeds than today coupled with brilliant voice experience and super-fast call connect. Finally, Airtel 5G Plus network will also be kinder to the environment with less carbon emission over data capacity generated in comparison to current technology. Further, implementation of advanced energy management features will contribute in reducing the carbon footprint.
