Mumbai 25th April 2022: Mobility Outlook, the mobility-ecosystem focused platform by CarTrade Tech, offering insightful perspectives on automotive, aviation, railways and maritime sectors, commemorated the spirit of women in the mobility industry last week by hosting the first edition of Women in Mobility.
With mobility undergoing drastic shifts on a day-to-day basis across social, technological and economic parameters, women are today at the forefront of running hugely successful mobility-based organisations. While the world over, International Womens Day is celebrated on 8th March, Mobility Outlook believes that women need to be celebrated every single day and not just on ONE particular day.
The idea of the event was to put women in the centre of the changing needs of mobility as they are considered to have different needs when it comes to transportation. Keeping in mind the contribution of some of the most successful and powerful women in the automobile industry, Mobility Outlook launched a Coffee Table Book capturing the success stories of these triumphant and empowering women.

India, April 25, 2022: P. C. Chandra Puraskaar, the annual national award from the P. C. Chandra Group, was conferred upon India’s most iconic sarod maestro, Padma Vibhusan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. This was the 29th edition of the annual award ceremony. Sarod legend, Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan received the felicitation in the presence of Chief Guest, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Shri A.K. Chandra, Managing Director, P.C. Chandra Group and Mr. Suvro Chandra, Joint Managing Director, P.C.Chandra Jewellers at Science City Auditorium, Kolkata. The award ‘P.C. Chandra Puraskaar’ carries an honorarium of Rs. 10 lakhs which is tax exempt. The event also saw a soulful performance by National award-winning singer Imon Chakraborty.
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is the sixth-generation sarod player in his illustrious family. His seven-decade long musical journey has enriched Indian classical music with innumerable credits and offerings. Best known for his clear and fast ‘ekhara taans’, Ustaadji was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2001, the Fellowship of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, the UNESCO award, UNICEF National Ambassadorship, ‘Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters’ of France, and Fukuoka Cultural Grand Prize of Japan in his musical journey.
P.C. Chandra Group introduced this award ceremony in 1993 as a tribute to their founding father, late Shri Purna Chandra Chandra. P. C. Chandra Puraskaar has always recognized people from various walks of life, who have achieved great heights in their respective fields like Shri. ನಾವುಗಳು ಕೋಲಾರದ ಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರಿಗೆ ವಸತಿ ಗೃಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ . ಸುಮಾರು 33 ಸಾವಿರ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಬಿ.ಜಿ.ಎಂ.ಎಲ್ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೇವಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು 22 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದು , ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 800 ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೇವಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯದೇ ಮೃತರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ .
ಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಸುಮಾರು 20 ಸಾವಿರ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ವಸತಿ ಗೃಹಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಗಣಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ ಜೋಷಿಯವರು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಕಾಳಜಿ ಉಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ .

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಗಣಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಬಿ.ಜಿ.ಎಂ.ಎಲ್ 12 ಸಾವಿರ ಎಕರೆ ಜಮೀನನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದೆ . ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಬೊಮ್ಮಾಯಿಯವರು ದಲಿತರ ಉದ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಬಿ.ಜಿ.ಎಂ.ಎಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬಿ.ಜಿ.ಎ.ಎಲ್ . ಟೌನ್ಪ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವನ್ನು ( ಕಾರಿಡಾರ್ ) ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದದ್ದು . ಈ ಮಹತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕೋಲಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗಿ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ದೊರಕಲಿದೆ .
