ವಸತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಡಿ.ಎಸ್.ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್ ನಿಂದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಸೇವೆ ಆರಂಭ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು – ಬಡವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆ ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ದಯಾನಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ನಾಡಿನ ಹಬ್ಬ,ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಢವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಢಿತ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳು ಮಾಡದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇವರು ಮಾಡಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹೆಚ್. ಬಿ. ಆರ್. ಲೇ ಔಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 73ನೇ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು.
ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಡಿ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ದಯಾನಂದ್, ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಕಳೆದ ಅನೇಕ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ವಸತಿ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು. ಇದುವರೆಗೂ 16 ಸಾವಿರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು( ಅಪಾರ್ಟ್ ಮೆಂಟ್) ಒದಗಿಸಿದೆ. ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಕಡೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು..
ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಬ್ಬ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈದ್ರಾಬಾದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಭಾಗದ ಜನರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಲು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು , ಆದರೇ ಗುಲಬರ್ಗಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಲ ಸಚಿವರ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಹೋರಟಿದ್ದು ವಿಷಾದಕರ ತಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಂಗತಿಯಗಿದೆ .
ಗುಲಬರ್ಗಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿರುವುದಂತು ನೈಜ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ . ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೋಠಡಿ ನೀಡಲು ಲಂಚ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದು , ಪಾಸ್ | ತೇರ್ಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಹಣ ನೀಡುವುದು ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ಉದಾ : 27 ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ -2021 ದಿಂದ 05 – ಜನೇವರಿ -2022 ರ ಬಿಎಡ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಲಸಚಿವರು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಬಾಯಿ ಕಮಠಾಣೆ , ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಬೀದರೆ , ಇವರಿಗೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಲು ರೂ . 25,000 / – ಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರಾಯಿ ಬಾಟಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಬಾಯಿ ಕಮಠಾಣೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ / ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ಸ್ವತಃ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕಿಯಾದ ಡಾ || ವಿದ್ಯಾ ವಾಡೇಕರ ಅವರು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ನಕಲು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ವಿಡಿಯೋ | ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ದಿನಾಂಕ : 04.01.2022 ಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳು , ಗುಲಬರ್ಗಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ , ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು . ಸಹ ಅವರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಪ್ರತಿ ಭಟನೆ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪಾಲರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದ ನಂತರ ಅಂದರೆ , ದಿನಾಂಕ18.01.2022 ಕ್ಕೆ ವರದಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇವರುಗಳು ಶಾಮಿಲಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚು ಹಾಕುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ , ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಇಂತಹ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಜಾ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪಾಲರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ . ಮಾನ್ಯರೇ , ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ತಾಂಡವ ಆಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಈ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ ಕೈ ಬಿಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ .
ನಮ್ಮ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು : 1. ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿ.ಎನ್.ಎಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಪರಿಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ನಕಲು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಈ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಮರು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು . 2. ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧವಾ ಪುನರ್ ವಿವಾಹ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಮಾನತ್ತು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು . 3. ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಕುಂದು ಕೋರತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ .. ಈ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಯಂತ್ರ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ ಈ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು . 4. ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೋಳಗೇರಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಗಳು ರಾಜೀವ್ ಆವಾಜ್ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮನೆಗಳ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಅವರುಗಳನ್ನು ವಜಾ ಮಾಡಿ ಅರ್ಹ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು . ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಯಾನ ವನದ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆಟ್ರೊಲ್ ಬಂಕ್ ಮನೆಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೇರೆವುಗೋಳಿಸಬೇಕು .
ಈ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರ ಈ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಇಡೆರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ . ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಉಗ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ .
” ಶ್ರೀ ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ದೇವಿ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹ ವೇದಿಕೆ ” ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ 23 ನೇ ವರ್ಷದ ಉಚಿತ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು 55 ವರ್ಷವ ಸರ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು , ದಿನಾಂಕ : 27 / 03 / 2022 ನೇ ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ನಡೆಸಲು ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದೆ .
ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ( 22 ) ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ಆಚರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದು , ಈ ಬಾರಿಯು ಸಹ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ಉತ್ಸುಕವಾಗಿದೆ . ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿ ಸುಮಾರು 1231 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜೋಡಿಗಳು ವೈವಾಹಿಕ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಿಯಿರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ .
ಬಡವರು , ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಿವಾಹವು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದುಬಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮನಗಂಡು ಶ್ರೀ ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಅಮ್ಮನವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆದು , ಅಂತಹ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸರಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ವಿವಾಹ ನಡೆಸುವ ಸಂಬಂಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಯಿತು .
1999 ರಲ್ಲಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿತು . ಆರಂಭದ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 41 ಜೋಡಿಗಳು , ವೈವಾಹಿಕ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದವು . ಇದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗೊಂಡ ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ಇಂತಹ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ , ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಪರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತೀ ವರ್ಷವು ಸಹ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುವ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮಾಡಿ ಆದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಇದೀಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತ ಮೂರನೆ ( 23 ) ” ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿರಿಸಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು .
ಜಾತಿ , ಮತ , ಭೇಧ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರ ಇರಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಮದುವೆ ಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಮಠಾಧೀಶರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ , ಹಿರಿಯ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವವುಳ್ಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ , ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜೋಡಿಗಳ ವಿವಾಹ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಲಾಗಿದೆ .

National, January 24, 2022: Oben Electric, one of India’s most awaited 2-wheeler EV Startup has raised an additional $1 million in funding from Mr. Krishna Bhupal, Board Member GVK Power & Infra, Mr. Shajikumar Devakar, Executive Director IIFL Wealth & other investors. Having received $1.5 million in Dec 2021 led by We Founders Circle (WFC), the start-up has now been oversubscribed 3x times making it one of the largest seed rounds raised by an electric 2-wheeler startup.
Oben Electric will use the capital raised to expand their business capacity, setup a bigger manufacturing infrastructure, accelerate new product development, expand experience centres, and strengthen their distribution plans, as the foundation to create the platform for the coming period to create value for the business in the ecosystem.
Mr. Krishna Bhupal, said, “the EV ecosystem is at the cusp of the next revolution in automobiles and Oben Electric has the people, skills, technology and product to scale in what is potentially a global market making opportunity. As a philosophy being an angel or early-stage investor, we look for people and their capability to create pathbreaking businesses and Oben met the investment criteria of our office. The electric 2-wheeler growth in India is at a very early stage and ripe for disruption, with the GOI playing the role of a catalyst with tax breaks and other incentives. We believe the Oben Electric team has that edge in the business due to their deep IP and patent portfolio of 16 patents with a product that represents what the consumer needs in a 2-wheeler country like the rest of Asia.”
Elaborating on the funding, Mr. Dinkar Agrawal, Co-Founder, Oben Electric said, “We have raised a total of $2.5 million as a part of our Seed funding. Our products are a proud accomplishment of the Made in India story. The whole process, from designing to manufacturing is done inhouse with Oben’s engineering team and Indian components. We eagerly await the launch of our first product, which is right around the corner.”
The electric two-wheeler market in India is growing at an accelerated pace due to supportive government policies, the growing awareness toward the environment, increasing petrol prices, and stringent emission norms.

NEW DELHI / January 21, 2022: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, ranked 5th Best Overall University in India in NIRF Rankings 2021, has launched an Online Certificate Program on Hinduism. titled “Introduction to Hinduism.” The course, delivered by the varsity’s International Centre for Spiritual Studies, will be spread across 200 hours over six months. The course fee is Rs. 10,000 and anyone over the age of 16 years can enroll in the program through https://amrita.edu/ahead/introduction-to-hinduism/. The first batch of course starts from April 2022.
Lectures from more than 30 prominent scholars will offer students deep insights into the texts, traditions, philosophical schools, and worldview of Hinduism. This includes expert faculty from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, senior academicians who collaborate with the varsity, professors from various universities across India as well as traditional Brahmachari and Sannyasi scholars from the Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The students will have the opportunity to interact with the scholars through live interactive sessions and group discussions. The course is divided into five units including Introduction, Fundamentals, Literature, Philosophy and Practical Aspects of Hinduism.
Brahmachari Achyutāmṛta Chaitanya, Dean – Amrita Darshanam, said that while it is not possible to explore the depths of Hinduism in a 6-month course, the topics covered touch upon almost all its aspects. “The aim of the program is to awaken youth to the profound worldview offered by Hinduism. We have selected topics and condensed them in a way that they can be served to the students in a limited time, and they will be asked to explore the topics further on their own,” he said.
Sivanandan DS, Asst. Prof., Amrita Darshanam, said, “The course will offer a bird’s eye view of Sanatan Dharma, which is one of the major philosophical systems in the world. The students will get an idea of the various texts, traditions and philosophical schools of Hinduism. They will be able to understand and practice this ancient spiritual and philosophical wisdom in their personal and societal realms.”
Prof. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean – Faculty of Engineering, Amritapuri Campus, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, said, “Amrita University is based on the underlying philosophy of oneness, love and compassion. Therefore, we created this school called Amrita Darshanam, to highlight the glorious past of India and the essence of Indian society. We must explain the ideals of Indian philosophy in the language of modern society and make it relevant to people. This is a big challenge and an opportunity, which Amrita Darshanam is working on.”
Brahmachari Achyutāmṛta Chaitanya, Dean – Amrita Darshanam, further added, “The focus on spirituality is part of the vision of well-known humanitarian and spiritual leader, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma), the Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Amma says that values, culture, morality, ethics, and spirituality are essential for all human beings. There are some famous quotes from our scriptures, which say that the actual goal of education is independence in every sense of the word. Education for living is imparted by all educational institutions, but education for life is imparted by Amrita Darshanam.” Amrita Darshanam is also offering a 6-week Online Certificate Program in “Mahabharata Upanayanam” and a 4-week Program in “Essence of Hinduism”. Around 170 students have enrolled so far for the course on Mahabharata and 120 students for “Essence of Hinduism”. Of this, at least 30-40 students are foreigners. Amrita Darshanam will also organise a two-day advanced public workshop on Mahabharata, named “Dharma Darshanam,” on 12-13th February, 2022. Designed as a critical reading exercise, it will be a package of intensive academic discussions of select texts from Vyāsa Mahābhārata, alongside popular commentaries, opinions and articles. The workshop will offer a chance to discuss, contemplate and understand Vyāsa’s Mahābhārata. The International Centre for Spiritual Studies is a Centre of Excellence for study and research around spiritual studies with a focus on Indian philosophy, arts, literature, culture, tradition, and society. The Centre offers complimentary courses of education for undergraduate students of all disciplines on topics such as Indian culture. It has a Post Graduate program, MA in Philosophy and Ph.D. programs in Philosophy, Spirituality, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Amrita Darshanam’s courses offer valuable lessons on learning to face life with courage. Course instructors are a mix of monks and professors, with lots of live interaction of students with teachers. To give an example, a sample module of the course titled, ‘On Pratinja’, offers a context of Bhishma ’s Pratinja, comparison with Sreekrishna ’s Pratinja and Arjuna ’s Pratinja, how we take Pratinja ’s in day to day life, the supremacy of Dharma over Pratinja. There are many more such case studies to clear the ambiguity over Hinduism. In the future, the Centre will offer courses on Ramayana Sopanam, Yoga Sethu and Introduction to Vedic Scriptures.
