Nidhi EV World at Kaval Hosahalli to offer electric scooter sales, service and customer support under one roof

BENGALURU, October 14, 2026: Ampere has expanded its retail network in Bengaluru with the inauguration of a new experience centre, Nidhi EV World, at Kaval Hosahalli. The facility aims to make electric two-wheelers more accessible to customers by bringing vehicle sales, service and customer assistance under one roof.

The new centre will showcase Ampere’s electric scooter range, catering to different customer needs, from daily commuters and families to students and young riders.

The company’s portfolio includes the Ampere Nexus EX+, powered by a 5 kW motor, which has demonstrated its performance through multiple national and international records. The scooter has been tested across challenging terrains in India, highlighting its capabilities under varied riding conditions.

The Magnus GMax is positioned as a practical and affordable option for families and value-conscious buyers, combining everyday convenience with connected technology. The Magnus Neo focuses on ergonomic design and riding comfort for daily city commutes, while the recently launched Reo Vyb expands the range to younger customers, including students and college-goers.

The Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax are also available in variants equipped with Intellipack technology, offering more than 30 intelligent features. Ampere’s electric scooter range is supported by next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, along with a standard battery warranty of up to five years or 75,000 km, whichever comes first, according to the company.

Scooters Tested Across Challenging Indian Terrain

Ampere’s Bharat Ki Smart Ride initiative highlights the company’s focus on developing electric scooters suited to India’s diverse road and weather conditions.

As part of this effort, the Magnus GMax with Intellipack recently completed the Ultimate Endurance Ride, covering nearly 4,000 km in 15 days. The journey stretched from Dong Valley in Arunachal Pradesh to Guhar Moti in Gujarat’s Kutch region, crossing mountainous terrain, plains and desert landscapes.

The Nexus platform has also navigated the 70 hairpin bends of Kolli Hills and reached Shipki La Pass at an altitude of 13,200 feet, demonstrating its performance across demanding routes.

Focus on Customer Experience

The newly opened experience centre has been designed as an interactive retail space where customers can explore the scooter range, consult trained product specialists and understand the features and benefits of electric mobility before making a purchase.

The dealership is part of Greaves Electric Mobility’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Ampere’s retail and service network across key markets. BENGALURU, October 27, 2026: IndusInd General Insurance Company Limited, formerly Reliance General Insurance Company Limited, has appointed Sharad Mathur as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), following statutory approvals.

Part of the IndusInd International Holdings Limited (IIHL) Group, the company aims to strengthen its market position, expand distribution networks and accelerate technology-driven growth under Mathur’s leadership.

Mathur brings nearly three decades of experience in insurance and financial services, with expertise in business transformation, distribution expansion, technology-led innovation, corporate governance and sustainable growth.

Before joining IndusInd General Insurance, he served as Managing Director and CEO of Universal Sompo General Insurance for more than six years. During his tenure, he led key transformation initiatives, strengthened distribution networks, improved risk management and underwriting practices, and enhanced technology-enabled customer services.

Earlier in his career, Mathur held leadership positions at SBI General Insurance and ICICI Lombard, contributing to their growth during their formative years.

At IndusInd General Insurance, his priorities will include improving customer experience, expanding insurance access, strengthening distribution partnerships and driving profitable growth. He will also focus on digital innovation, sound governance and building a resilient, technology-enabled organisation.

Mathur is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, India. He has completed executive leadership and compliance programmes at the University of Pennsylvania, the Indian School of Business, Harvard Business School and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

His appointment comes as the company seeks to build a more accessible, technology-driven and customer-centric insurance business while delivering sustainable long-term value to customers, distribution partners and other stakeholders.

Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Performs Sri Moola Ramachandra Devara Samsthana Puja in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: On the occasion of Pournami, Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru, Peetadhipathi of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam, performed the sacred Sri Moola Ramachandra Devara Samsthana Puja at Nanjanagudu Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru.

As part of the religious ceremony, the seer offered prayers for Loka Kalyana (the welfare of the world) and sought the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy by offering prayers to the golden Moola Padukas. He also performed Maha Mangalarati to the Brindavana of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.

Following the puja, devotees received Phala Mantrakshate and the blessings of the seer. The details of the ceremony were shared by the temple priest, Sri Nandakishoracharya.

After completing the rituals, Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru departed for the sacred shrine of Sri Ramachandra in Ayodhya.

R.K. Vadindra Acharya, senior manager of the Mutt, along with hundreds of devotees, participated in the religious ceremony and received the blessings of Sri Hari, Vayu and Guru.

Gleneagles BGS Hospital Bikeathon Draws 200 Riders to Promote Spine Health

Nearly 20 former spine patients join the ride to highlight the importance of early diagnosis, regular exercise and preventive care

BENGALURU, October 25, 2026: Highlighting the importance of spine health and timely medical intervention, Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Kengeri, part of the Fortis Healthcare Network, organised the ‘Spine Up. Ride On.’ bikeathon on Sunday to mark World Spine Day. The initiative brought together more than 200 bike riders, including nearly 20 former patients who had received treatment for spine-related conditions at the hospital.

The bikeathon began at Bangalore Town Hall, with riders proceeding via Freedom Park to Gleneagles BGS Hospital. The event brought together former patients, biking enthusiasts and members of the public to spread awareness about spine health and encourage healthier lifestyles.

The participation of former patients was a key highlight, demonstrating the importance of recovery, physical activity and continued care in maintaining spinal health.

The spine plays a crucial role in supporting the body, maintaining posture, enabling movement and protecting the spinal cord. However, symptoms such as persistent back pain, numbness and weakness are often ignored until they begin to interfere with everyday activities. Through the initiative, the hospital aimed to encourage people to adopt healthy habits, maintain an active lifestyle and seek timely medical advice when symptoms persist.

The event was attended by Dr. Naveen M. A., Head of Department and Senior Consultant – Minimal Access Brain and Spine Surgery; Dr. Santhosh Sa, Senior Consultant – Neurosurgery, specialising in vascular neurosurgery, neuro and stroke interventions, and complex and skull-base brain tumours; Dr. Keshav G.
