Bengaluru: ICICI Bank has announced the opening of a new branch in Bengaluru exclusively designed to serve startups. Located at 19th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, the branch aims to provide end-to-end banking and financial services tailored to the needs of emerging businesses across all stages of their growth.

The branch will offer a complete range of services, including:

Business banking: Current accounts (including GIFT City accounts), overdraft facilities, corporate credit cards, escrow services, foreign currency accounts, working capital loans, loans backed by Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and Fixed Deposits, and the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) scheme.

Personal banking: Customized offerings for founders and employees, including family banking, 3-in-1 demat accounts, HUF accounts, home loans, loans against property, gold and personal loans, credit cards, and investment solutions.

Digital banking: Corporate Internet Banking, InstaBIZ app, Trade Online platform, Integrated Payment System for vendor and tax payments, along with e-collections, e-mandates, payment gateway and UPI solutions.

API solutions: Access to more than 250 APIs through the Bank’s Developer Portal for seamless integration across payments, collections, and reconciliation.

Global services: Swift remittances, along with support for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) transactions.


The branch will also function as an engagement hub, offering startups opportunities to connect with venture capitalists and benefit from the guidance of a dedicated relationship management team.

In Karnataka, ICICI Bank operates over 460 branches and more than 1,020 ATMs and CRMs. The new branch will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of the month.

The 70-member team, representing 15 Indian states, guided customers on financing plans, the Apple Trade In program, and one-on-one setup services. True to Apple’s commitment to sustainability, the store is powered entirely by renewable energy and operates on a carbon-neutral model.

Opening day also featured Today at Apple sessions, where participants learned new skills including iPhone photography, Apple Intelligence, and creative illustration on iPad. Entrepreneurs and business owners interacted with Apple’s Business Pros for tailored advice and growth strategies.

Bengaluru, August 2025: SVKM’s NMIMS, Bengaluru, held its Convocation 2025, conferring degrees on 350 students from the School of Law, School of Commerce and the School of Economics. The event was marked by thought-provoking addresses from eminent personalities who urged graduates to pursue careers guided by integrity, resilience and innovation.

Hon’ble Justice V. Gopala Gowda, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, who presided as Chief Guest for the School of Law, called upon graduates to uphold the Constitution and protect public faith in the justice system. “Every time a lawyer bends rules or misleads, trust in the system weakens. Stay loyal to constitutional principles, speak truth to power, and never tolerate corruption,” he said. He urged young lawyers to confront systemic challenges such as delayed trials and undertrial cases with courage and fairness.

Guest of Honour K.G. Raghavan, Senior Advocate at the Karnataka High Court, stressed the importance of discipline and ethics. “There is no big or small opportunity — what matters is how you pursue it. Avoid shortcuts, let devotion and hard work define your life, and ensure technology is used with responsibility,” he told the graduates.

Bhaskar Dutt, Global Head – Strategic Relations at Tata Elxsi, addressed the commerce and economics graduates, highlighting the transformative role of technology. “When people, industries and technology intersect, new opportunities emerge. Whether in healthcare, retail or space exploration, innovation depends on your skills and adaptability. Take risks, pursue multiple passions, and use digital platforms to reach the world,” he advised.

The convocation also featured the release of the Annual Report 2024–25 and school magazines, presented by Dr. Narayani Ramachandran, Campus Director. She emphasised that true leadership lies in applying knowledge responsibly to serve society. Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Pro Vice Chancellor of NMIMS, added that success must be paired with empathy and service to the community.

The ceremony concluded with the Graduation Oath and Sustainability Oath, reaffirming NMIMS Bengaluru’s mission to nurture ethical and socially responsible professionals.
