Zigly Hosts Wagathon in Bengaluru to Promote Pet-Parent Bonding and Animal Welfare

Bengaluru, August 31, 2025: Zigly, India’s first tech-enabled omnichannel pet care brand, hosted its flagship Wagathon at the Koramangala Zigly Experience Center, bringing together more than 120 pet parents and their companions for a walkathon celebrating fitness, bonding, and responsible pet ownership.

The event began at 7:00 AM with registrations and kit distribution, where participants received Zigly-branded caps and water bottles. The one-kilometer walk flagged off at 7:30 AM, starting and ending at the Experience Center, and turned into a lively celebration of Bengaluru’s growing pet community.

Participants were later felicitated with certificates, medals, and trophies in recognition of their involvement.

Expressing gratitude, Pankaj Poddar, Group CEO, Cosmo First, said, “We are grateful for the overwhelming support from Bengaluru’s pet parents. Wagathon is more than just an event—it is a celebration of the special bond between pets and their families, while also contributing to animal welfare.”

The initiative successfully raised ₹2 lakh, which was donated to the Zigly Foundation to support animal welfare efforts, underlining the brand’s commitment to building a compassionate ecosystem for pets and animals.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪವರ್ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಶನ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ (ಕೆಪಿಸಿಎಲ್) ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಬಹುಕೋಟಿ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದ ಕುರಿತು ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪಗಳು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿವೆ. ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜಿಂಗ್ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಗೌರವ್ ಗುಪ್ತ (ಐಎಎಸ್) ಹಾಗೂ ಫೈನಾನ್ಸ್ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಆರ್ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಲವು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಜನರ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೆಪಿಸಿಎಲ್‌ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಗಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರೂ, ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕಳಪೆ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕೋಲ್ ಖರೀದಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆರೋಪ.

ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು

2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಪಿಸಿಎಲ್ YTPS, BTPS, RTPS ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಪವರ್ ಪ್ಲಾಂಟ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೋಲ್ ಖರೀದಿಸಲು ಮೂರು ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿತು:

ಭರಾಧ್ಯ (ಇಂಡೋನೇಷ್ಯಾ ಮೂಲ) – 2.5 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಇಂಡೋನೇಷ್ಯಾ ಕೋಲ್

ಸುಬ್ಬಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಪಾಲಿಮರ್ಸ್ ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ (ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾಲೀಕ ಉದಯ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ) – 2.5 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಕೋಲ್


ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕೋಲ್ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ 5500 GCV, 18% ತೆವಾಂಶ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಇರಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಪೂರೈಸಿದ ಕೋಲ್ ಕೇವಲ 3800 GCV, 35% ಬೂದಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು.

ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ

ಕೆಲ ಎಕ್ಸಿಕ್ಯೂಟಿವ್ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ–ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಕರು ಕಳಪೆ ಕೋಲ್‌ಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದಂತೆ ತೋರಿಸಲು ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “161 ಟೆಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಕಂಪನಿ” ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಲ್ಯಾಬ್‌ಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ನಕಲಿ ವರದಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

ಶರಾವತಿ ಪಂಪ್ ಸ್ಟೋರೇಜ್ ಯೋಜನೆ

ಶರಾವತಿ ಹೈಡ್ರೋ ಪವರ್ ಪ್ಲಾಂಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ₹10,000 ಕೋಟಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಶರಾವತಿ ಪಂಪ್ ಸ್ಟೋರೇಜ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆಗಾ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಗತ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆಯದೇ ಮುಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ₹300 ಕೋಟಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಯಿತು.

ಕಿಂಗ್‌ಪಿನ್‌ಗಳ ಹೆಸರು

ಈ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ಮೂಲದ ಅಬ್ಬುಲ್ ಖನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮೂಲದ ನಿಸ್ಸಾರ್ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವಂತಹ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕ್ಷಣ—ಕನ್ನಡ ಲೇಖಕಿ ಬಾನು ಮುಸ್ತಾಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಕೃತಿಯ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಅನುವಾದಕಿ ದೀಪಾ ಭಾಸ್ತಿ ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಬೂಕರ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ 2025 ಗೆ ಭಾಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ವಿಜೇತ ಕೃತಿ ಎಂದರೆ ಹಾರ್ಟ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಪ್ (Heart Lamp).

“Kannada author Banu Mushtaq and translator Deepa Bhasthi have jointly won the International Booker Prize 2025 for Heart Lamp.”

The author Banu Mushtaq and the translator Deepa Bhasthi are considered equal winners.

The prize money is always split 50:50 between them.

Both names are officially announced together, side by side — there is no “first” and “second.”

Without the translation, the book would not reach the Booker jury or global readers.

So, the award celebrates both creation (author) and access (translator) as equally essential.
