Amazon Flex provides part-time and flexible earning opportunities to individuals
Bangalore, 18 June 2020: Amazon India today announced the expansion of the Amazon Flex delivery program to more than 35 cities in the country. The global delivery program, launched in June 2019 in India aims at creating part time work opportunities where individuals can be their own boss, create their own schedule and earn INR 120 to 140 per hour by delivering packages to Amazon customers. The expansion of the program from 3 cities in June 2019 to 35 cities in June 2020 has created tens of thousands of part-time opportunities for individuals in metros and non-metro cities such as Raipur, Hubli, Gwalior and Nashik among others.
The expansion of the program will help scale Amazon India’s delivery capability at a time when customers across the country continue to depend on Amazon India’s services to have their products delivered safely at their doorstep.

Since its launch in June 2019, the program has created opportunities for students, homemakers and individuals who are looking to supplement their income by delivering Amazon packages during their spare time. Amazon is committed to the health and safety of its associates, partners, employees, and customers and has implemented several preventive measures close to 100 significant process changes in their fulfilment network for the safety of its people during this pandemic. These include mandatory face covering, increased frequency and intensity of cleaning at all sites including regular sanitization of frequently touched areas, thermal screening of every Flex partner, and awareness-building among associates including Amazon Flex partners on safety requirements around hand-washing and hand sanitization. In the last three months, the company has leveraged technology to completely shift the on boarding process to a virtual experience, has introduced digitized training for Flex partners and has implemented no touch check-in for delivery associates in the buildings.

ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಡಾಲರ್ ಬೆಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದಂತೆ ಸೋಮವಾರ, ಸ್ಪಾಟ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 0.30 ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಔನ್ಸ್‌ಗೆ 1724.6 ಡಾಲರ್‌ಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಈ ಅಂಶವು ವಿವಿಧ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಇತರ ಕರೆನ್ಸಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಹಳದಿ ಲೋಹದ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದುಬಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆಗಳು ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರು ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಡಾಲರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಡೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು, ಇದನ್ನು ಸ್ವರ್ಗವೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರು ಜೂನ್ 9, 2020 ಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊನೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಮೆಕ್ಸ್ ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಲ್ವರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬುಲಿಷ್ ಪಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಟ್ರಿಮ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯುಟಿಐ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಶೇಕಡಾ 2.37 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಬ್ಯಾರೆಲ್‌ಗೆ 37.1 ಡಾಲರ್‌ಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಒಪ್ಪಿದ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಕಡಿತವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸದ ಒಪೆಕ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬದ್ಧತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಯುಎಇ ಇಂಧನ ಸಚಿವರು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಸ್ಥಿರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಚೀನಾದ ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳ ಹೊಸ ಸ್ಫೋಟ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಕರೋನವೈರಸ್ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಭಯವು ಯು.ಎಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ 2 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸೋಂಕಿತ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಿತು. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಅನೇಕ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಯು ಮತ್ತು ರಸ್ತೆ ಸಂಚಾರದ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಗಳು ಕಚ್ಚಾ ತೈಲದ ಬೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆ ತಡೆಯಬಹುದು.
ಲಂಡನ್ ಮೆಟಲ್ ಎಕ್ಸ್ಚೇಂಜ್ (ಎಲ್ಎಂಇ) ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೇಸ್ ಮೆಟಲ್ ಬೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆರೆಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಕಾಪರ್ ಈ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸೋತವರು. ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಡಾಲರ್ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಇತರ ಕರೆನ್ಸಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಸ್ ಲೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ದುಬಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಲಸಿಕೆ ರಚನೆಯ ಸುತ್ತ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಎರಡು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಿದವು.
ದೇಶೀಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮ್ಯೂಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ವಲಯದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಮೇ 20 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀನಾ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ವೇಗಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದವು. ಲಾಕ್ಡೌನ್ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೊರೊನಾವೈರಸ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸೋಮವಾರ, ಎಲ್ಎಂಇ ಕಾಪರ್ ಶೇಕಡಾ 1.33 ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಟನ್‌ಗೆ 5707.5 ಡಾಲರ್‌ಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ.
ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಗಳ ಪುನರಾರಂಭದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ದೂರ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿಸಬಹುದೇ ಎಂದು ನೋಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯು ವೈಚಾರಿಕತೆಯ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವಂತೆ ತೋರುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಂಡ ಜನರ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್‌ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿದರರು ಕೆಲಸ ಸಿಗದೆ ಚಿಂತೆಗೆ ಈಡಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್‌ಲ್ಯಾಬ್ಜ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ ಬಹಿರಂಗಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 1000 ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿದರರು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ನಂತರದ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ‘ಕೆಲಸ ಸಿದ್ಧ’ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯದ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳು ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಶೇಕಡ 76 ರಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಪ್ಲೇಸ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸೆಲ್ ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಉಳಿದವರು ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಹಕ್ಕು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಕೋಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಶೇಕಡ 24 ರಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದನೇ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು ಎಂಬುದು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಗವು ಯಾವುದೇ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೇಕಡ 78.64 ರಷ್ಟು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಯಾವುದೇ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಇದು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಶೇಕಡ 35.48% ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ನಿಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ-ಪ್ರೇರಿತ-ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಮಂದಗತಿಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ನೇಮಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿವೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಜಾಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಈ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಪ್ರವೇಶಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವೀಧರರ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತದೆ.

~Introduces revolutionary Livinguard Face Mask that inactivates 99.9% of COVID-19 virus~
Bengaluru, 17th June 2020 : With the development of medication to combat the novel coronavirus still in the works, it has become imperative to find an immediate solution for this global pandemic. After conducting more than 65,000 experiments and filing more than 100 patents, Swiss hygiene company Livinguard, with operations also in India, as well as Germany, USA, Singapore, Japan, and South Africa, has come up with a revolutionary and first of its kind face mask, that can directly inactivate bacteria and viruses, including 99.9% of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The globally patented technology was invented by Mr. Sanjeev Swamy, an entrepreneur of Indian origin, who also heads the company.
Researchers from the Free University of Berlin at the Institute for Animal Hygiene and Environmental Health have been able to demonstrate that textiles treated with Livinguard Technology can reduce very high amounts of SARS-CoV-2 particles by more than 99.9% within a few hours. “The textiles in these masks can thus continuously inactivate the exhaled viruses and can make handling these masks even safer overall,” says Professor Uwe Rösler. “In addition, such textiles could also help to reduce hygienic issues in other general and medical areas, even beyond COVID-19.” The masks were launched today in India through a virtual press conference where the founder joined from their Swiss headquarters.

The Livinguard mask comprises 3 layers that give 5 levels of protection. The unique patented Tripellent Technology on the Outer layer offers 3 levels of protection – Livinguard Antiviral and repellent coating on the outside of the fabric, Livinguard Antiviral Technology bonded into the fabric itself and Livinguard Antiviral and repellent coating on the inside of the fabric. Non-woven industry-standard filters in the middle layer channels viruses for destruction to the outer or inner layers. The mask can be used for extended periods and reused before washing because the fabric covering the filter media continuously destroys microorganisms upon contact.
