Bengaluru, September 12, 2024:
The inauguration of the “Prime Minister Vishwakarma Exhibition and Trade Fair 2024,” organized with the support of the central government, was held today in Bengaluru by Ms. Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State.
The fair features more than 100 artisans, sculptors, and traditional industry professionals from various parts of the state showcasing their crafts. During the event, Ms. Shobha Karandlaje highlighted the government’s support for artistic professions. “Art is the lifeblood of every artist, and the government is committed to honoring and supporting their talent through fairs like these,” she said.

Under the Vishwakarma Scheme:
– Artisans and traditional professionals are provided with technology, commercialization opportunities, training, financial support, and loan facilities.
– Artists involved in the scheme will be assisted in acquiring the necessary tools for their personal and professional growth.

Key Features of the Fair:
– Exhibition of various artistic and traditional items
– Introduction to new government schemes
– Guidance related to art and professional development
The fair will run until September 14, 2024, and is being held at the MSME Office premises in Rajajinagar.
The event was attended by MSME DFO Dr. K. Socrates, KASSIA President Mr. M. G. Rajagopal, and other dignitaries.
