The Kallahalli BDA Layout Residents Association has raised concerns over the incorrect tariff application by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). According to the association, BWSSB has not only added arrears but also levied interest on them, which has escalated the dues to several crores of rupees.
In response to this issue, the association approached the High Court seeking intervention. However, a concrete resolution is yet to be achieved.
The association emphasized that the “high-rise” tariff being applied to their residential area is not applicable to them and must be rectified immediately.
Speaking to the media, Kallahalli BDA Layout Residents Association President, Muralidharan, reiterated their demand for a fair resolution and urged the authorities to address the core issue at the earliest.
