Meditation is the way for inner transformation, brings positive changes; resolution passed during 3rd Regional Conference of Meditation Leaders @ IIM Bangalore

Bangalore, 1st September , 2024: The 3rd Regional Conference of Meditation Leaders was held successfully yesterday at IIM Bangalore and was jointly hosted by Buddha CEO Quantum Foundation and Pyramid Valley International. The objective of the conference was to create awareness about how meditation brings about transformation in individuals for a positive social change with thorough scientific understanding and plenty of case studies.

Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, dean of IIM Bangalore spoke about the importance of realising that meditation, inner strength and happiness can easily be attained through practise while we continue with our daily lives. We need not leave everything like Buddha did, and instead we need to find ways to build our inner strength here and now to help us face all the new challenges around us like war, mental health problems etc.

Padmashri D R Kaarthikeyan, former Director CBI and CRPF (GoI) began the day with a wonderful and inspiring speech about Shri Narendra Modi and his discipline towards his duty and yoga practice. He said “leaders who practice meditation are able to listen to their conscience, take inner guidance, and build the strength to follow through on it while making decisions. We request the active support of global and government bodies in spreading awareness about meditation for greater well-being and positive social change.” He encouraged everyone to internalize meditation practice and to remember that what lies within is most important and we must be true to it, no matter what we do.

The panel on holistic excellence addressed issues like mental and physical health, conflict resolution and all-round development.

Laurence Guihard-Joly, former IBM general manager and co-founder of Buddha CEO Quantum Foundation gave a power talk on how meditation brings about organisational excellence. She mentioned a few important changes that meditation brings about that help us in our daily professional life –  better emotional intelligence, moving from fixed mindset to growth mindset, and getting rid of unconscious biases and moving towards being more inclusive and diverse in all ways in order to bring about more holistic and unique perspectives and ideas to help the organisation grow.

Chandra Pulamarasetti, co-founder of Buddha CEO Quantum Foundation spoke about his extensive meditation practice and all the marvelous manifestations and miracles he has experienced over the years. He gave a short talk on the art and science of meditation covering topics like subconscious and conscious minds, brain wave states and provided many statistics about the impact of meditation on stress and mental health levels.

The panel discussion on meditation in youth was a fun and engaging session with the panelists sharing their experiences about how meditation helped them through their challenges in school, college and work. They spoke about spiritual parenting, and building confidence and clarity.

The panel on organizational excellence brought out that meditation helps open doors, builds resilience, helps leaders know themselves more and hence allows them to change behavioural patterns. It brings more clarity and vision to leaders in policy-making roles.

Justice Gopal Gowda stated that the best solution for the challenges faced by the world over is meditation and Prof. Malla Bhaskar Rao, Neuro Surgeon from NIMHANS spoke about the several research at NIMHANS that is showcasing Meditation is a good solution for many challenges.

During the closing ceremony, the entire conference passed a resolution together, led by Dr D R Kaarthikeyan sir about our role and duty towards spreading meditation to people all over the world, which is the need of the hour, as more and more negativity and hatred grows around the world because of the growing negativities in the minds of people. It is of utmost importance for everyone in the world to transform internally so that our world will transform into something bigger and more beautiful.
