cult UNBOUND Championship Debuts in Bengaluru, Sets New Standard for India’s Fitness Landscape

Bengaluru, April 12, 2025 — The inaugural edition of cult UNBOUND, a large-scale functional fitness championship, was held at KTPO, Whitefield on Saturday, drawing participation from over 5,000 fitness enthusiasts from across the country. The event, organised by Curefit Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., transformed the venue into a dynamic arena of athletic performance, community engagement, and wellness experiences.

The day-long championship featured eight distinct workout zones, designed to accommodate participants across various age groups, genders, and fitness levels. Over the course of the event, athletes collectively performed more than 50,000 repetitions, moved over 10,000 kilograms of fitness equipment, and covered approximately 1,400 kilometres through running and rowing exercises. The championship aimed to provide an inclusive and challenging environment, catering to both first-time participants and experienced professionals.

A notable highlight of the event was the Leaders Circuit, a specially curated segment for corporate leaders and CXOs. Designed to mirror the main competition in spirit while adjusting intensity levels, the segment reflected a growing commitment to fitness and resilience among India’s business leadership.

In addition to the competitive aspect, the championship featured a variety of wellness and community-centric experiences. These included workshops, group sessions, and interactive activities such as hula hooping, yoga, capoeira, poi spinning, and dance fitness—designed to keep energy levels high and encourage participation from attendees of all ages and backgrounds.

A total prize pool of ₹10,00,000, including ₹6,00,000 in cash rewards, was distributed among the top performers. Winners in the Men’s Singles category included Tiruvan, Imliyanger, and Rajathsomanna, while Yashaswini, Roshika, and Sugandha emerged as top performers in the Women’s Singles segment. The winners were felicitated with trophies, leaderboard recognition, and their share of the prize pool. Several celebrities and fitness influencers were also present at the event to cheer on participants and celebrate their achievements.

The event concluded on a high note, with organisers stating that cult UNBOUND aims to become an annual fixture on India’s fitness calendar. Positioned at the intersection of sport, wellness, and community, the championship has set a new benchmark for inclusive, high-impact fitness events in the country.
