Srinagar: “Operation Sindhoor” – Vocal for Local Pledge Program

A special pledge campaign titled “Operation Sindhoor” has been launched to promote the use of Indian products, local arts and craftsmanship, indigenous industries, cleanliness, and the preservation of Indian culture. Held under the slogan “Vocal for Local,” the event witnessed citizens and youth taking a collective pledge comprising 20 commitments aimed at building a self-reliant and culturally enriched India.

These pledges reinforce support for major national initiatives such as ‘Make in India,’ ‘One District, One Product,’ ‘Wed in India,’ ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao,’ ‘Ayushman Bharat,’ and ‘Digital India.’ They also reaffirm dedication to honoring the nation’s brave soldiers, supporting farmers, artisans, and empowering women.

Dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Sunil Singhi, Chairman of the National Traders Welfare Board (Government of India), Mr. Uday Garudachar, MLA of Chikpet Constituency, and Commodore R.L. Brahmaprakash, Navy Officer and prominent leader.

The program was presided over by Mr. Prakash Pirgal, Member of the National Traders Welfare Board.
