
Bengaluru: The Ugadi festival was celebrated with traditional fervour and spiritual splendour at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block.
As per the directives of Sri Subudhendra Teertha, the celebrations were conducted under the leadership of senior administrator R.K. Vadeendracharya. A series of special rituals were performed at the Brindavana of Raghavendra Swamy, including taila abhyanjana (oil ritual), phala panchamruta abhisheka, kanaka abhisheka, and an elaborate Navaratna Kavacha alankara. The rituals concluded with a grand maha mangalarati and anna prasada distribution for devotees.
In the evening, a special Panchanga Sravana (astrological discourse) was delivered by Dr. Agnihotri Venugopal Acharya, who was honoured with traditional offerings. The festivities also featured a series of cultural and religious events such as pallakki utsava, rathotsava, gajavahana procession, ashtavadhana, and tottilu pooja.
Speaking on the occasion, Nandakishore Acharya said that a large number of devotees visited the mutt, participated in the rituals, and received the blessings of Sri Hari, Vayu, and Guru.
Several dignitaries, including R.K. Vadeendracharya, Nandakishore Acharya, media personality Sripad Patil from Republic Kannada, along with devotees, disciples, volunteers, and staff members, were present during the celebrations.
