
Vidyadhan Scholarship for higher education is now open for Karnataka students, who passed SSLC in 2024. Vidyadhan Karnataka Celebrating a decade of supporting bright and deserving students in their academic pursuits.
Education is the key that unlocks limitless possibilities. Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI)’s Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) is proud to announce the opening of Karnataka Vidyadhan Scholarship applications for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families currently studying in class 11. Students, who have Passed SSLC in 2024, can apply. The Vidyadhan Scholarship Program also provides selected students with support through soft skills training, mentoring, and career counseling to enhance their personal and professional growth. This year is the 10th anniversary of the Vidyadhan Scholarship in Karnataka. Since its launch in 2014, a total of 1552 students have been awarded the scholarship enabling them to complete a degree of their choice.

For the Karnataka PU program 2024, the scholarship is available for students from economically disadvantaged families with an annual income below Rs. 2 lakhs. Eligible candidates must have successfully passed the SSLC examination in 2024 from Karnataka state, scoring over 90% (or 75% for students with disabilities) or obtaining an A+ grade in all subjects. The selected students will be granted a scholarship amount of Rs 10,000 per year during their PUC studies. For those who continue to perform well, the scholarship amount for pursuing a degree course will range from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 75,000 per year. SDF is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 by S.D. Shibulal (Co-Founder & former CEO, Infosys) and Kumari Shibulal (Patron), to provide educational opportunities to students from economically disadvantaged families. Since then, the foundation has expanded its Vidyadhan scholarship program across 17 states/ UTs, including Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nādu, Puducherry, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Odisha, Delhi, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. To date, the foundation has awarded over 41,000 scholarships, resulting in a growing Vidyadhan alumni community working as engineers, doctors, nurses, chartered accountants, in the government, including in defence forces, and as research scholars. The foundation’s vision is to scale up, reaching 100,000 scholarships and covering all the states/ UTs in the next few years.
