“ZEE Power Set to Energise Kannada Television Space”
Bengaluru, 18 August 2025: ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), one of India’s leading media networks, is set to expand its footprint in Karnataka with the launch of ‘ZEE Power’, a new Kannada general entertainment channel going live on 23rd August 2025.
With Zee Kannada already a household name in the state, ZEE Power aims to deliver a bold and energetic viewing experience, offering a mix of fiction, non-fiction, movies, festival specials, and regional sports content. The new channel positions itself as a vibrant platform blending drama, inspiration, and cultural narratives.
Speaking at the pre-launch event in Bengaluru, Raghavendra Hunsur, Chief Content Officer, ZEEL, said, “ZEE Power is about creating shows that engage the heart and challenge the mind. Our fiction will be sharp and impactful, our reality shows thought-provoking, and our films will reflect the pulse of Karnataka.”
Siju Prabhakaran, Chief Cluster Officer – South & West, ZEEL, described the launch as a milestone: “Audiences today want variety and concepts that reflect their aspirations. ZEE Power has been designed to be fast-paced, inclusive, and full of surprises.”

Programming Highlights
Rajakumari (7:00 PM): Journey of an ambitious girl chasing her entrepreneurial dreams.
Gauri (7:30 PM): A family drama showcasing sacrifice and resilience.
Jodi Hakki (8:00 PM): A clash of ideologies between education, tradition, and love.
Shubhasya Sheeghram (8:30 PM): Romance and family values with a social message on disability and marriage.
Halli Power (9:00–10:00 PM): A reality show hosted by Akul Balaji, exploring city girls’ lives in villages.
Bhavishya Darshana (7:30–9:00 AM): A devotional show offering astrological insights.
With its diverse line-up, ZEE Power seeks to bring back family viewing traditions while offering fresh, modern storytelling. The grand on-air launch is scheduled for 23rd August 2025.
