A resident of Bengaluru had applied for registration of cooperative society at the office of Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Ali Askar Road, Bengaluru. Sri.R.Sridhar, Additional Registrar of Co-operative Societies (House and others) and Smt.Pushpalatha, Case worker initially had demanded Rs. 5,50,000/- to register a Co-operative society.
On 04.12.2018 the officials of ACB Bengaluru City have trapped and arrested Smt. Pushpalatha while accepting advance bribe amount of Rs.55,000/- from the complainant. Both Sri.R.Sridhar and Smt. Pushphalatha were arrested and the bribe amount has been seized. The case is under investigation.
