FOGSI promise: Exchange of ideas at AlCOG 2019 to lift patient’s experience

Bengaluru, 8th Jan, 2019:

On the eve of 62nd All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) a press meet was held on Tuesday (January 8, 2019) to give a detailed plan of AICOG 2019. It was held immediately after the executive committee meeting of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecologcal Societies of India (FOGSI).

The dignitaries at the function held at Renaissance Race Course were Dr Jaideep Malhotra, President of FOGSI 2018, Dr Nanditha Palshetkar, President of FOGSI 2019, Dr Jaydeep Tank, Secretary General of FOGSI, Dr Hema Divakar, Organizing Chairperson of AICOG 2019 and Dr Sheela Mane, Organizing Secretary of AICOG 2019 The mega event is being held from 8th January to 12th January, 2019 at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru.

Speaking on the experience as President of FOGSI 2018, Dr Jaideep Malhotra said, “I look back with satisfaction on a hectic year of activities as the president of FOGSI in 2018 with the theme of ethics quality and dignity for an incredible experience in women’s healthcare.

“I look ahead with enthusiasm to make girls and women stronger, safer and smarter and unveil “We for Stree” at the inaugural and installation ceremony when I will be taking charge of a variety of activities as President of FOGSI,” said FOGSI’s incoming President Dr Nanditha Palshetkar.

Dr Jaydeep Tank described his contributions. “In the three-year term as the Secretary General of FOGSI I am initiating the digital movement within and beyond FOGSI and you will see armple evidence of the same at AICOG.”

Having declared the theme for the 62″d AicoG as ‘Women’s Health Nation’s Wealth’ we ant to deliberate on practical and pragmatic way forward in the Indian context and be a role model for the rest of the world to showcase how we have transited fronm novations to implementation and used every challenge as an opportunity for a better tomorrow, ” said an emphatic Dr Hema Divakar.

Dr Sheela Mane said “being an organizing secretary for such a mammoth event bringing in 15,000 professionals from across the world is a great learning experience. We are proud of team Bengaluru, who have shouldered the responsibility and striving to make this the best event.”

The AICOG 2019 is going to have more than 250 scientific sessions with interesting papers being presented by experts.
