The statistics ore a great obstruction in ensuring quality healthcare across this nation. After encountered strange incidents with my friend, a surgeon himself suffering from colorectal problem, I laid ndation of Smiles with an aim to serve millions of Indians suffering from colorectal diseases. With the establishment of three new clinics with advanced facilities, we aim to cover the Bangalore region with our best-in-class advanced treatment for all colorectal problems. The revenues of last financial year have ready proven our success. We are certain to exceed the revenue of US$ 3.5 Million in the FY 19-20 and continue our expansion across India and overseas. On an average we treat 400-450 patients in Mandya and 300-350 patients in Bengaluru in a month. We have performed over 18000 procedures for patients through Smiles since inception. This is a great achievement for us.

We also started “Tough every life” initiative during 2014 and covered 26 lakh families across 5 districts i.e, Mandya, Mysore, Chamrajnagar, Ramnagar and Bangalore rural. We have educated and created awareness on various colorectal disorders to these farnilies” As part of EHA consortium and aligned activities, SMILES have partnered with DHAN Foundation to create awareness among members of DHAN across Mysore and Mandya. Smiles have organised various workshops and educated 80,000 families of DHAN across these two districts. EHA (Equitable Healthcare access for All) consortium is an NGO founded by DHAN Foundation, ISB, IM Udaipur, LVPEI, Aravind eye care, Shankara cancer center, SMILES, Fernandez hospitals, etc. EHA aim is to ensure healthcare access to each and every individual of the country. Dhan foundation is an NGO working to uplift BPL families and have a presence in 15 states. As on date, they have engaged and empowered 1.6 crore families across 15 states.
