Bengaluru, 24 July 2019: and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (https://www.iimb.ac.in), Heartfulness Institute (www.heartfulness.org) today announced that an International Conference on “Elevating Consciousness through Meditation for Global Harmony” will be held from 1 to 3 August, 2019 at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. On the evening of 31 July, more than 150 CXOS will attend another event as a precursor to the main event.

The 3-day event offers a unique forum for reflection, shared insights and interactive learning among working professionals, business leaders, wellness practitioners, scholars and researchers. Daaji will be introduced by Professor Ramnath Narayanswamy, one of the three conference directors and a professor at IIM-Bangalore.

Professor Narayanswamy said, “This international conference is the first of its kind in the world of management theory and practice. It will bring together academics practitioners and policy makers to begin a dialogue on the need for the elevation of consciousness to be squarely on the management agenda.

“The French writer Marcel Proust once said, The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.’ This conference will bring those new eyes to the global management agenda by introducing meditation as an effective tool in the development of consciousness. Management thought has invested a lot of time and energy in developing new thoughts and ideas. The times are perhaps propitious to move from the world of thought to the world of feeling, from the outer to the inner, and from the head to the heart.

” Another of the conference directors, Dr. Elizabeth Denley, from the Heartfulness Education Trust & Heartfulness Institute said, “As a scientist, I needed experience and proof in order to accept the efficacy of any approach to the evolution of consciousness and the mind. In the first meditation session I experienced the doors of perception and awareness opening, and after 30 years of experience that process continues to unfold with no end in sight. Consciousness surely evolves and is continuously elevated through a meditative practice, resulting in a more purposeful life filled with joy, and the manifestation of greater and greater potential.

Today’s world is a world in transition. Managers and leaders need to be anchored within in order to accept challenges wisely and bravely, and to accept their responsibility of supporting their business communities to move forward with flexibility and purpose toward a better future. Thisconference will provide all the delegates with a practical approach to managing this transition toward a new vision and new paradigms.

” The third conference director Mr. Sharat Hegde, Director of the Heartfulness Institute, India, said, “The conference brings together participants from over a dozen countries to combine ancient wisdom with modern-day science and research on the practice of meditation to solve the fundamental need in today’s world – elevating human consciousness to bring harmony to our inner world as well as the external world, leading to global hamony.
