Cambridge Institute of Technology organized the 9th Graduation day today, 04th August 2019 for its Batch of 2019 students. The spectacular event was organized and hosted on the lawns of Cambridge Institute, a beauty in its own way. The event commenced in the fresh hours of the morning at 9.00am and ended with a grand procession.
The celebrations of the event started with a photo shoot of all our students with their respective heads and dignitaries followed by the academic procession in which all the dignitaries namely, Our Chief Guests, Dr. Anant R Koppar, Chairman & CEO Ktwo Technology, Bengaluru; Prof. K P J Reddy, Prof. Emeritus, Dept. of Aerospace Engineering, IISc, Bengaluru; Sri. D.K. Mohan, Chairman, Cambridge Institutes; Dr. Suresh L, Principal, Cambridge Institute of Technology; Dr. D.H. Rao, Director, Cambridge Institute of Technology ; Ms. Usharani R, Director – HRD, Cambridge Institutes. The Heads of various departments were ushered to the accompaniment of the college band into the venue of the function.
The dignitaries adorned the dais and our beloved Chairman declared the opening of the Graduation Ceremony for the Batch of 2019. This was followed by the customary invocation and NadaGeethae presented by Dr. Hemakumar and Prof. Deepthi. The Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and the graduated Cambrians (graduands).
“The education system should not be based on the marks scored by the student; it should be based more on Innovation, Research, Employment and making future entrepreneurs. Our Chief Guests, Dr. Anant R Koppar & Prof. K.P.J Reddy highlighted their speech with the above statement thus igniting the minds and boosting all our graduands. It was strongly put forward to the students that the road to their future has just begun. Prof. K.P.J. Reddy stressed on the fact that the thinking process of an individual should never end the learning of a student begins with the starting of his job and not with the completion of his studies. After such motivational and inspirational speeches by our Chief Guests, few intellectual words were put forward by our Director, Dr. D. H. Rao. Small instances were shared from the Indian mythology thus giving every speech an in-depth learning and understanding.
This was followed by the distribution of the ‘Certificate of Completion’ where every head of the department awarded the graduands of their respective departments. The certificates were awarded along with the dignitaries present on the dias. The Oath Taking Ceremony took place after all the respective streams received their certificates. The graduands recited the pledge giving the event that blissful moment of a chapter being complete.
In this ceremony, 500+ students from various branches and streams, namely, Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Technology, Masters of Computer Applications and Master of Business Administration received their degrees. Parents and students expressed joyful gratitude to the faculty and the management in molding their wards as professionals in the course of study in our Institution.
The Vote of thanks was given by the Vice Principal Dr. Shashikumar D R and the closure of the event was declared by the Chairman. The event ended with the National Anthem.
