The expo will be open to all from morning 10:30 am till evening 7:00pm during this period. This has 38 stalls put up by Authorised Users of Silk Mark from more than 10 expo states representing approximately 15 silk weaving clusters. It has diversified silk products like Tassar Silk sarees with fancy designs having embroidery with contrast color, Kantha work, Tassar shirts & Jackets, Eri Silk socks, Silk bags, Shirts, Dhotis, Blouses and Garments apart from traditional Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Pochampally, Murshidabad, Mysore Silk, Uppada, etc. sarees. This is a great chance for those looking to purchase pure silk for ensuing weddings in the family, upcoming special occasions and festivals or regular use.
The Silk Mark Expo 2019 Bengaluru was inaugurated by Smt. Rohini Sindhuri, IAS, the Commissioner for Sericultural Development & Director of Sericulture, Government of Karnataka, in the august presence of Shri. Rajit Ranjan Okhandiar, IFS, the Member Secretáry, Central Silk Board, at 4:00 pm on 10″ December 2019 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumara Krupa Road, Bengaluru.
