Bangalore, Thursday, January 16, 2020 – Over the 70 years that India has been independent, the money the nation and her citizens have lost to scams and frauds, is close to a staggering INR 200 trillion (adjusted for inflation). Most of this money has been lost because people have had very little or no knowledge that they were being cheated of their money / wealth.
FinMo, the product of Wealth Vruddhi, a Bangalore based wealth advisory firm that helps attain Financial Moksha (FinMo), today has launched a campaign to educate people on financial frauds aptly titled ‘Mosakke Heli Goodbye” – say goodbye to getting cheated. Brainchild of Mohan Krishnarao, a seasoned veteran with over two decades of experience in varied financial organizations with exposure to almost all financial instruments, brings together his knowledge to power this campaign.
Mosakke Heli Goodbye will be spread over three months and will address 12 topics over the next 12 weeks. Topics will include Ponzi Frauds, Insurance Related Frauds, Stock Market Related Frauds, Religious Belief Related Frauds, Stop Buying Junk (Self-Cheating), Frauds Related to Public Money Mismanagement, Lack of financial clarity (Self-Cheating), Real Estate Related Frauds, “Cash, Gold & Tax Related” Frauds, Online & Banking Related Frauds, Taking advice blindly (Self-Cheating)
and Earning less than your potential (Self Cheating) The topics have been devised considering two aspects of cheating – Getting cheated and cheating oneself. Each of these topics would have subject matter experts and also celebrities to impart their wisdom and experiences.
Mohan Krishnarao, Finance Evangelist & Creator, Mosakke Heli Goodbye, says, “This campaign is a people’s movement and this is my duty to India. Majority of the time people are unaware of their money being misused because of mis-selling by BFSI companies or they misuse their money buying things they do not need. It is our endeavor through this campaign to educate families to ensure they are putting their money to its best potential use.
Speaking about the campaign, Bhaskar Rao IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City, said, “Financial frauds are rampant today and fraudsters find newer ways of cheating people of their hard earned money. It is for people to stay vigilant and informed. The Mosakke Heli Goodbye campaign is timely and the need of the hour and I sincerely request for people to pay attention this campaign and gain some insights.” Mosakkehelli Goodbye will be rolled out online and offline. Interactive centers are being launched in 5 locations across Bangalore to enable easy access to everyone needing advice and also to give answers to fraud related queries on any of the above topics. Centers will be located in Bellandur, HSR Layout, CMH Road, Indiranagar, Manyata Tech Park and BSK 2nd stage. Prior appointments will have to be made for the 8 sessions of 40 mins duration that will be available on Saturdays and Sundays.
