Prameya Health celebrates Cultural Fest ‘Joy of Life’ in Bengaluru


Cancer patients from different walks of life participated in the Cultural Festival

BENGALURU / February 15, 2020: Prameya Health, an institution specialising in supportive care for patients suffering from cancer and other diseases today organized ‘Joy of Life’, a Cultural Fest dedicated to showcase the indomitable spirit of women suffering from cancer. The festival was inaugurated by Professor Dr. K.S. Bhat, a Retired Professor turned Social Entrepreneur and Founder of the Sarakki Lake Rejuvenation Trust championing green revolution to combat climate change in a city like Bangalore.

Cancer is a very stressful and traumatising phase for any patient not just physically but also emotionally and psychologically as they experience a lot of stress, anxiety and depression. To address this issue, Prameya Health celebrated the indomitable spirit of cancer patients and provided them with a platform to express themselves through Yoga, Dance, Skits, Singing, Fashion Show and Drum Circle session.

Inaugurating the fest, Dr. K.S. Bhat said, “I am very happy to inaugurate this festival specially organized for all cancer patients. As the incidence of cancer has significantly gone up in the country, I am delighted to see Prameya creating awareness about cancer and bringing a lot of positivity amongst them.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandhya Ravi, Founder of Prameya Health said, “Seeing so many cancer patients, their families and caregivers participating in this fest was a moment of pride for us. It is heart-warming to see how positive they are in tackling the problems they have faced and are now taking it on altogether. The enthusiasm they all have shown in this fest is incredible that has left us all awestruck and in much wonder. Through this fest, our motive continues to bring hope and joy to all cancer patients and survivors for a brighter and happier future.”

The objective of this ‘Joy of Life’ Festival was to provide an opportunity to patients to showcase their creative talent and share the transformational aspects of the journey to recovery and healing.

Added Dr. Sandhya Ravi, “Every year cancer claims lives of millions of people.
