Sagar Hospitals celebrated International Wormen’s Day promoting the idea of #EachforEqual

Bengaluru, March 7th, 2020: Bengaluru’s leading multi-speciality healthcare provider, Sagar Hospitals, celebrated International Wormen’s Day. On this special occasion, Sagar Hospitals organized a programme based on the theme #EachforEqual, signifying the creativity and talent a woman holds irrespective of the age group.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Sagar Hospitals embraced the occasion whereby all the women were invited to take part in several cormpetitions including painting, singing and dancing. The day long program on 7″ March 2020 had all the winners perform followed by talent show by staff and doctors in the form of singing, dancing, fashion show.

The event was held at Dr. Premachandra Sagar Auditorium, Bengaluru. Popular Bollywood and Kannada actres, Padmavati Rao presided over as the Chief Guest for the prograrnme. Having made her debut on the silver screen with Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Pardes in 1997, she subsequently starred in films like Te3n (2016), Padmaavat (2018), Tanhaji: The Unisung Warrior (2020), etc.

The esteemed jury panel consisted of renowned Singer Smt. Debjani Datta, a remarkable Dancer Smt. Lanjma, Neurologist and Singer Dr. Kalyani Karkare, prominent Painter Smt. Sudha Nagaraj and prestigious Dancer Smt, Karpagam Venkatraman.

Talking about the event, Ishiqa Multani, President, Sagar Group, said, “International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder to celebrate womanhood in our society. The day spurs celebration of the contribution of women in different walks of life.”

She further said, “The goal of the event was to create a space for the community to commemorate gender equality, not age equality on International Women’s Day. Women of all ages and backgrounds participated that showed the undying spirit and enthusiasm among our women patients.”

With this programme, they also inaugurated Sagar Silver Club for 60+ aged people with an aim to help them pursue their forgotten hobbies.
