Government of India, Ministry of Culture and Sangeetacharya Pt. D. V. Kanebuva Pratishthan present a 2-days Music Program “POORNAHUTI” in Bangalore on the occasion of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi Janmashatabdi.
Sangeetacharya Pt. D.V. Kanebuva Pratishthan has been celebrating the Janmashatabdi of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi ji from 4th February 2021. The inaugural program as well as Poornahuti was held in Gadag, the Janmabhoomi of Panditji. “KHAYAL YADNYA” in 2021 and “POORNAHUTI” in 2022 (3-days Festivals) were organised as well. “BHIMSEN VAANI” a program based on the compositions of Saints, sung and renowned by Panditji was also organised. Sangeetacharya Pt. D.V. Kanebuva Pratishthan in association with Ministry of Culture, Government of India is organising a 2-days Festival “POORNAHUTI” in Bangalore on 19th and 20th March 2022. It is a matter of pride for the Cultural Department of Government of India to be able to honour and pay tribute to the legendary maestro of the country (Bharat Ratna awardee) Pt. Bhimsen Joshi ji by organising concerts. Padma Shri Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Padma Shri Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Vidushi Arati Anklikar, Vidushi Manjusha Patil will be performing Classical Vocal in this tribute. Pt. Kumar Bose (Tabla solo) and Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia (Flute) will also be a part of this festival. The program will be held in Patti Sabhangana, Bangalore. On 19th March 2022 from 5.00 pm to 9.30 pm in the evening while on 20th March 2022 from 10 am to 2 pm in the morning, the program is open to all Music-lovers and connoisseurs. The Inauguration of the program will be on 19th March 2022 at 5.00 pm in the presence of Mr. R. V. Gumaste, MD of Kirloskar Ferrrous. While featuring many renowned artists, the program will be a treat not to be missed by music- lovers and connoisseurs. Thus was informed by Shri.
