BENGALURU: A 12-year-old Dubai-based Bharatanatyam prodigy, Neetara Nair, is set to take the stage at the Bangalore International Centre on Saturday, July 25, with an original dance production titled Govinda: A Tale of Faith.

Presented by ARTMOS, the production is conceived, choreographed, and directed by renowned Bharatanatyam exponent and educator Puja Unni.
Moving away from the traditional margam structure, Govinda is a themed, immersive production that explores a young seeker’s journey from innocent curiosity to spiritual realization. Divided into five chapters-Longing, Calling, Realisation, Journey, and Surrender-the dance drama combines classical rhythm with theatrical design and features an original musical score in Telugu, Sanskrit, and English.
Despite her young age, Neetara-a student of Smt. Puja Unni at Spanda in Dubai-has already delivered nearly 20 full-length solo recitals across India and the UAE. She has performed at major cultural showcases, including the Khajuraho Dance Festival, Kalarigram’s Sharadotsav, and the Thripurandhara Festival.
Director Puja Unni, known for her focus on classical grammar and expressive storytelling, noted that the production aims to make classical dance accessible to a wider, contemporary audience without compromising its traditional roots.
