Bengaluru: In an effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, Garden City University, Bengaluru, has joined hands with Tensor Qxentrix Pvt. Ltd. to introduce an industry-oriented Modular M.Tech programme focusing on emerging technologies and practical engineering skills.
The programme aims to prepare students for evolving industry demands by combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning, applied research and exposure to real-world engineering challenges.
It will focus on advanced technology areas such as Photonic Integrated Circuits, Silicon Carbide (SiC) Technology, Digital Twin Technology, and Quantum Technology and Computing. These fields are gaining importance as industries increasingly adopt advanced semiconductor systems, power electronics, artificial intelligence and digital engineering solutions.
Emphasis on Practical Learning
The programme will incorporate project-based learning, industry interactions and research-oriented activities to help students apply their technical knowledge to practical situations. It also aims to develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and innovation skills, enabling graduates to contribute effectively to technological development.
The collaboration seeks to strengthen industry-academia engagement and provide students with learning opportunities aligned with current and emerging engineering requirements.
Taiwan Internship Opportunities
The programme also envisages international internship opportunities in Taiwan for high-performing students, subject to eligibility criteria and selection requirements.
Taiwan’s established semiconductor and electronics industries could provide selected students with valuable exposure to advanced technologies, global engineering practices and international industrial environments.
Through this initiative, Garden City University and Tensor Qxentrix aim to equip aspiring engineers with relevant technical skills and practical experience to pursue opportunities in advanced technology sectors.
