Blankets and fruit packets donated by philanthropist Firoz Sattar Sait distributed to children undergoing cancer treatment

BENGALURU, October 28, 2026: In a gesture of compassion and solidarity with children battling cancer, veteran Kannada actor Srinath visited Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru on Wednesday and distributed 100 high-quality blankets and fruit packets to young patients.
The blankets and fruit packets were donated by philanthropist Firoz Sattar Sait, owner of Safina Plaza and Safina Tower, as part of an initiative to bring comfort and encouragement to children undergoing cancer treatment.
During the visit, Srinath interacted warmly with the children and their parents, spending time with the young patients and offering words of encouragement and blessings. His presence brought smiles to many faces and served as a source of emotional support for families navigating the challenges of cancer treatment.

The distribution programme was attended by Dr. Nadimul Hoda, Professor and Head of the Department of Oral Oncology; Dr. Arun Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatric Oncology; and Dr. Basavaraj, Resident Medical Officer (RMO).
The initiative highlighted the importance of extending support beyond medical treatment to address the emotional and practical needs of cancer patients and their families. Small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference to children facing prolonged treatment and the uncertainty that comes with the disease.
The gesture by Firoz Sattar Sait, coupled with Srinath’s personal interaction with the children, also underscored the valuable role that philanthropists, public figures and socially conscious citizens can play in supporting patients in need.
Such initiatives are a reminder that the fight against cancer requires not only medical expertise and advanced treatment but also compassion, community participation and sustained public support.
The initiative stands as an inspiring example of how individual contributions can bring hope to patients and their families, encouraging more philanthropists and well-wishers to come forward and extend a helping hand to those battling cancer.
