Bengaluru, November 4, 2026: With the aim of protecting children from eye injuries during Diwali celebrations, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, RT Nagar, organised a special ‘Safe Diwali Eye Awareness Programme’ to educate children and parents about firecracker-related eye injuries and essential safety measures.
The awareness initiative, being conducted from November 4 to 12, 2026, is exclusively aimed at children below 15 years of age. It focuses on highlighting the risks associated with firecracker sparks, flying debris and chemical exposure, while emphasising the importance of preventive measures to ensure a safe and injury-free festival.
Doctors from the hospital interacted with the participants and explained simple yet essential precautions to prevent eye injuries. They also highlighted the immediate steps to be taken in case of an eye-related emergency during celebrations.
