The Shorthand Writers’ Association of Karnataka celebrate its Centenary year on a grand scale on 14th and 15th September, 2019

The Shorthand Writers’ Association of Karnataka, 3 Floor, Kandaya Bhavana, K. G. Road, Bengaluru-560009 has chalked out two days’ programme on 14th and 15th September, 2019 to celebrate its Centenary year on a grand scale.

The Programme includes Group Discussion on English and Kannada Shorthand, Honouring Shorthand Writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography, Honouring the former office bearers, Release of Souvenir to commemorate this event, cultural programe, etc.

It appeals to its members (1) to enrol themselves to attend the centenary celebration function, (2) to furnish their current address so that the information regarding the function could be sent to them, particularly, to the former office bearers of the Association.

The Stenographers who are working in Central, State, Public and Private Sector organizations who are not members of the Association may also participate in the function enrolling themselves either as Donors or RC members.

It is proposed to conduct high speed shorthand competitions both in English and Kannada Shorthand on the eve of Centenary Celebration.

On 14h September, 2019, at 10-30 a.m., Hon’ble Cblef Justice of High Court of Karnataka, will inaugurate the Centenary Celebrations, and release the souvenir. Mr. S. Ramanathan, ILA.S. (Retd.) will be the Guest of Honour, and will confer Honorary Fellowship on shorthand writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography.

On 14th September, 2019, at 2-00 p.m., Mr. S. Ramanathan, I,A.S. (Retd.) and Mrs. Sumithra R. Kulkarni, Senior Assistant Director of Public Instruction (Commerce), are the Guests of Honour, and will confer Honorary Fellowship on shorthand writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography On 15th September, 2019, at 10-30 a.m., Mr. S. Suresh Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Sakala, will confer Honorary Fellowship on shorthand writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography.

Mr. Justice N. Santosh Hegde, former Judge, Supreme Court of India, and former Lok Ayukta, Karnataka State, will deliver the Mr. C. N. Shadakshari, Valedictory Address, at 4-00 p.m. President, Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association will be the Guest of Honour, and will honour past and present office-bearers.

Mr. T. N. Dhruva Kumar, FSAK, Chairman, Centenary Central Committee, will preside over all the sessions.

3-year-old receives Rs. 13.21 lakhs through crowdfunding on ImpactGuru.com for his Bone Marrow Transplant

Family urges the crowd to contribute more to meet the Rs. 45 lakhs hospital expense target

3-year-old Aadvik Patro started experiencing fatigue and a high fever a year and a half ago. His eating patterns became irregular and he seemed to look lifeless. Worried about his health condition, Aadvik’s parents rushed him to a clinic to get his blood tested. It was discovered that the 3 –year- old was born with a genetic blood disorder called thalassemia major. This meant PRBC (Packed red blood cell) transfusion had to be done every 20-30 days, as an interim procedure to save Aadvik.

Doctors suggested that only a Bone Marrow Transplant will provide a permanent solution.

Aadvik’s parents were a haploidentical match, the advantage here is that Aadvik’s damaged blood cells can be replaced with those of his parents’ stem cells, though the procedure is complicated and risky.

Mazumdar Shaw Medical Center shared an estimate of Rs. 45 lakhs for the Bone Marrow Transplant and post-operative care.

Ashwin Patro, Aadvik’s father, already spent all his savings in Aadvik’s diagnosis and treatment.

Crowdfunding through ImpactGuru.com was then opted. The additional advantage of crowdfunding is that patients do not have to repay that money back to the funders as the money provided online is a donation and not a loan. So far, over 327 donors have collectively contributed Rs. 13.21 lakhs through crowdfunding on ImpactGuru.com. Still, more is required to meet the total hospital expense.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು , 30 : ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜಾನ್ಸ್ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ತನ್ನ ಸುಮಾರು 7000 ಸಿಬಂದಿಗೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಮಂಡಳಿ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ ವೇತನ ನೀಡದ ವಂಚನೆ ಎಸಗುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜಾನ್ಸ್ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಆಫ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಸೈನ್ಸ್ಸ್ ಆಲ್ ಎಂಪ್ಲಾಯಿಸ್ ಸ್ಟಾಫ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸಾಷಿಯೋ ಸೆರಾ , ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ 1985ರಿಂದಲೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ವೇತನಕ್ಕೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಂಬಳವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತವಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ನೀಡದೆ ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದರು . 1974 ರಿಂದ 1984ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ವೇತನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು . 1985ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ವೇತನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು . ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಏರ್ಪಟ್ಟು , ಧರಣಿ ಮುಷ್ಕರಗಳು ನಡೆದಿದ್ದವು . ಆಗ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಮಂಡಳಿ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲೇರಿತ್ತು ಎಂದರು . 2003ರ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 6ರಂದು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಮಂಡಳಿ 1985ರ ಜನವರಿ 1 ರಿಂದ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೂ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು . ಈ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಕೂಡ 2012ರ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 12ರಂದು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿದು , ಅರ್ಜಿದಾರರಿಗೆ , ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ 1985ರಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ವಾನ್ವಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ವೇತನ ಭತ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು . ಆ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ಸತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು . ಆದರೂ ಸಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ 2012ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲ್ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು , ಅದು ಊರ್ಜಿತವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ , ಮೂಲತಃ ಅದು ತಿರಸ್ಕೃತಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು . ಅದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಇದೀಗ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು . ಆದರೂ ಸಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಆ ಮೇಲ್ಪನವಿ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಈವರೆಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮತ್ತು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಟಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಇಡೀ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಸಕ್ಷಮ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಜಿದಾರರು ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು , ಅದನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿ ಸಕ್ಷಮ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು . ಸಕಮ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಕಳೆದ ಜುಲೈ 30ರಂದು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ , ಲೆಕ್ಕಪತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ . ಅದು ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತವಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಿದೆ . ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ 1985ರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತವಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ವೇತನ ಶ್ರೇಣಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿದೆ . ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ , ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಮಂಡಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿ , ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ನೀಡದೆ , ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಬಾಕಿ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ . ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಮಚನೆ ಎಸಗಿದೆ . ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಬಾಕಿ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಾವಿಯೋ ಪೆರೈರಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು .

30 August 2019, New Delhi: Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has felicitated The Yoga Institute, Mumbai with the Prime Minister’s Award for Outstanding Contribution for Promotion and Development of Yoga for the year 2018-19. The prestigious award was presented in the category of ‘National Institute’ at a special ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan.
