ನಗರದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ನಾಯಕಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಶಾಸಕಿಯಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ನಯನ ಮೋಟಮ್ಮ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಸಚಿವ ಸ್ಥಾನ ನೀಡದಿರುವುದು ಬೇಸರದ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಸಚಿವ ಸ್ಥಾನ ನೀಡುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯಸಮ್ಮತ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಯನ ಮೋಟಮ್ಮ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೋಟಮ್ಮ ಅವರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸ್ವಸಹಾಯ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಬಲವರ್ಧನೆ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎರಡು ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಎಐಸಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಧಾನಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಮೋಟಮ್ಮ ಅವರು ದಕ್ಷ ಆಡಳಿತಗಾರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Demand to Include MLA Nayana Motamma in the Karnataka Cabinet Under the Women’s Quota

A strong demand has been made to induct Mudigere MLA Nayana Motamma into the Karnataka Cabinet by allocating a ministerial berth under the women’s quota.

Addressing a press at Bangalore, representatives of the organisation said that despite her dedication to the Congress party, disciplined public life, and growing popularity among the people of Mudigere, Nayana Motamma has not yet been given an opportunity to serve as a minister. They stated that her commitment to the party and her clean public image make her a deserving candidate for the Cabinet.

The speakers also highlighted the political legacy of her mother, former minister Motamma, who made significant contributions to women’s empowerment by strengthening Self-Help Groups benefiting more than two lakh women across the state. They noted that Motamma also served as an AICC Working Committee member and as the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council, earning recognition for her effective leadership and administrative capabilities.

According to the organisation, Nayana Motamma’s educational background, humility, organisational skills, and unwavering commitment to the Congress party make her well-suited for ministerial responsibilities. They said her induction into the Cabinet would not only strengthen women’s representation but also inspire young women to actively participate in public service and politics.

The organisation appealed to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, along with Karnataka Congress leaders, to consider Nayana Motamma for a Cabinet berth. They also urged the state’s leadership to ensure adequate representation for women in the ministry.

Speaking at the press, S.B. Mallikarjuna Swamy, State Founder President, reiterated that appointing Nayana Motamma as a minister would recognise merit, commitment, and women’s leadership within the Congress party. He said the organisation strongly urges the party leadership to induct her into the Karnataka Cabinet at the earliest.

HCG Starts Patient Treatment on Karnataka’s First Elekta Unity MR-Linac

Bengaluru, August 5: HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG) has commenced patient treatment using Karnataka’s first Elekta Unity MR-Linac, marking a significant advancement in precision cancer care. The technology introduces MR-guided adaptive radiation therapy to the state, offering patients in Karnataka and neighbouring regions access to one of the most advanced forms of radiation treatment available today.

The Elekta Unity MR-Linac integrates a high-resolution 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner with a linear accelerator, enabling clinicians to monitor the tumour and surrounding organs in real time during every treatment session. This allows doctors to modify the radiation plan based on changes in the patient’s anatomy, ensuring highly accurate tumour targeting while minimising radiation exposure to healthy tissues.

The launch comes at a time when cancer cases are rising steadily across India. According to estimates by the Global Cancer Observatory (GLOBOCAN), the country is expected to record nearly 2.08 million new cancer cases by 2040, representing a 57.5 per cent increase over 2020 figures. Experts say such trends underscore the need for more personalised and adaptive treatment technologies.

Sumadhura Group Signs JDA for 17 Acres in East Bengaluru, Targets ₹3,500 Crore Residential Project

Bengaluru, August 4: Realty developer Sumadhura Group has entered into a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for a 17-acre land parcel along the fast-growing Whitefield–Kannamangala corridor in East Bengaluru. The proposed premium residential development is expected to have a Gross Development Value (GDV) of around ₹3,500 crore and will offer more than 2.5 million sq. ft. of saleable residential space.

The project further strengthens the company’s presence in East Bengaluru, a region that continues to witness robust residential demand owing to its proximity to major IT hubs and improving urban infrastructure.

The Whitefield–Kannamangala corridor has emerged as one of the city’s preferred residential destinations, combining a relatively green and peaceful environment with easy access to employment centres such as ITPL and the wider technology corridor.

The locality also enjoys strong connectivity through the Whitefield (Kadugodi) and Pattandur Agrahara Metro stations, in addition to the Whitefield Railway Station, enabling convenient travel across Bengaluru.
