ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 9, 2025 — ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಚೇಂಬರ್ಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಕಾಮರ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರಿ (FICCI)ಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿಭಾಗವಾದ ಫಿಕ್ಕಿ ಫ್ಲೋ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವೃಂದವು ‘ಫ್ರಂಟ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ’ ಹೆಸರಿನ Thought Leadership ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಾಜತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯ ನಾಯಕಿಯರು — ಮಾಜಿ ವಿದೇಶಾಂಗ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಅಂಬಾಸಡರ್ ನಿರುಪಮಾ ರಾವ್ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸೇನೆಯ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರಾದ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಟನ್ ಯಶಿಕಾ ಹಾಟ್‌ವಾಲ್ ತ್ಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ಧೈರ್ಯ, ಸದೃಢತೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಸೇವೆಯ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಅನುಭವಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಮನದೊಳೆ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಕೇಳಿಬಂದವು. ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಪಾತ್ರ, ಅವರ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಜಯಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಣೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಅಂಬಾಸಡರ್ ನಿರುಪಮಾ ರಾವ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನೇಕ ದಶಕಗಳ ವಿದೇಶಾಂಗ ಸೇವೆಯ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಇಂದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ, ಸಮಾವೇಶಾತ್ಮಕ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಾತ್ಮಕ ಸಂವಹನ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. “ಇಂದು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ರಾಜತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ, ಆಡಳಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನೇ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಭಾರತದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪುಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಟನ್ ಯಶಿಕಾ ತ್ಯಾಗಿ, ಸೇನೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಾ ಸಮಯದ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಮಾನದೃಢತೆ, ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮನೋಭಾವನೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. “ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು ದೇಶ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಸೇನೆಯತ್ತ ಬಯಕೆ ಹೊಂದುವ ಯುವತಿಯರಿಗೆ ದಾರಿ ತೆರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ. ನನ್ನ ಕಥೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮಹತ್ತರವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಫಿಕ್ಕಿ ಫ್ಲೋ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಡೆಕಿ ಯಾಂಗ್ತ್ಸೋ ಚಾವ್ಲಾ ಅವರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಉತ್ಸವವೆಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸಿದರು. “ಫ್ರಂಟ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸತ್ಯತ್ವದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಿಂದ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕಾರ, ಮನೋವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲಲಾಯಿತು. ನಾಯಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಿಂತ ಸಹಕಾರದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋಣದಿಂದ ನೋಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಆಶಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು. ಸಭಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು, ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಾಗುವಂತಹ ಶಕ್ತಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ಈ ಸಂವಾದ, ದೇಶದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

Bengaluru, June 9, 2025 — FICCI FLO Bengaluru hosted a compelling leadership session titled “Frontline India”, featuring two prominent voices from India’s diplomatic and defence arenas — Ambassador Nirupama Rao, former Foreign Secretary of India, and Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi, retired Indian Army officer and motivational speaker.

The event brought together members of the FLO community and aspiring professionals for an engaging dialogue on leadership, resilience, and national service. It highlighted the lived experiences of two pioneering women who have broken barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Ambassador Nirupama Rao shared her insights into international diplomacy and governance, reflecting on the critical need for empathy, strategic communication, and inclusive leadership in today’s global order. She emphasized that modern leadership is about more than authority — it requires listening, adaptability, and the ability to bridge diverse perspectives.
“Women today are redefining leadership across diplomacy, governance, and national security. Their courage and intellect are shaping India’s future at home and on the world stage,” she noted.

Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi, drawing from her journey in the armed forces, spoke about the challenges women face in uniform and the need to constantly overcome societal expectations. Her address focused on mental strength, perseverance, and the importance of purpose-driven service.
“Joining the army meant not just serving the nation, but paving the path for future generations of women. Sharing my story on this platform was deeply humbling,” said Tyagi.

FLO Bengaluru Chairperson Dekyi Yangtso Chawla described the session as a celebration of women’s strength and determination, saying it reflected the ethos of FLO — a network committed to fostering leadership and change.
“Events like Frontline India empower women to claim their space in leadership with authenticity and courage. It’s a tribute to women who lead with vision and heart,” Chawla said.

The session resonated with a diverse audience, including young professionals and entrepreneurs, as it emphasized collaboration over competition, and the importance of emotional intelligence, clarity, and resilience in leadership. The speakers also highlighted the value of strategic thinking and the ability to adapt in rapidly changing environments.

The event served as a reminder of the growing role of women in shaping India’s narrative, not just in boardrooms and policymaking spaces, but also on the frontlines of national defence and global diplomacy.

ಐಪಿಎಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಸಿಬಿ (ರಾಯಲ್ ಚಾಲೆಂಜರ್ಸ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು) ತಂಡದ ಜಯದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಭವ್ಯ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ದುರಂತದ ರೂಪ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, 11 ಮಂದಿ ಯುವಜನರ ಪ್ರಾಣಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸದ್ಯಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಅಸಮಾನ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳೇ ಈ ದುರಂತದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರಣವೆಂದು ನಾಗರಿಕ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿವೆ.

ವಿಧಾನಸೌಧದ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಜೆ ಚಿನ್ನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತುರ್ತು ಯೋಜನೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಿದುಬಂದರು. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ಆಂಬ್ಯುಲೆನ್ಸ್, ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಮಿಷನರಿ ಸಹ ನಿಗದಿಯಾಗದೆ ಇರುವುದು ಗಂಭೀರ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಘಟನೆ ಕ್ರಮ:

ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಎರಡು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ವಿಜಯೋತ್ಸವ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ತೀರಾ ಸಂಚಲನಕಾರಿಯಾದದ್ದು.

ಚಿನ್ನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ 2–3 ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತೆರೆದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನಸಂದಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಕುನುಗ್ಗಲು ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೇರಿ ಹಲವರು ಕಾಲು ತುಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದರು.

ದುರಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 11 ಮಂದಿ ಸಾವಿಗೀಡಾದರೆ, ಹಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರ:

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಆಯೋಜನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ತಂಡವು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದಾಗಿದೆ.

ವಿಜಯ ಮಲ್ಯ ಮಾಲೀಕತ್ವದ RCB ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾದ ಗೌರವ ಸರಿಯೆ? ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಎತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.

ಬಿಸಿಸಿಐ crores ಗಳ ದಂಧೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಆಟದ ನೈತಿಕತೆಯ ಕುರಿತ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿವೆ.

ನಾಗರಿಕ ಹಕ್ಕು ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರ ಒತ್ತಾಯ:
ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರುನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಸಿ.ಎಂ. ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ, ರೈತ ನಾಯಕ ಕೋಡಿಹಳ್ಳಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರು ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಈ ವೇಳೆ,

ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಯಾರು ಹೊರುತ್ತಾರೆ?

ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರು ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

ಘಟನೆಯ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ತನಿಖೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಏಜೆನ್ಸಿಗಳಿಂದವಲ್ಲ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿಯ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.

ಅವರು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ, “ಬಿಸಿಸಿಐ ಮತ್ತು ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ತಂಡದ ಮಾಲೀಕರು ಸಾವಿಗೀಡಾದ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 10 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದ 10 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ, “ಈ ದುರಂತವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಚಲು ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳೂ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಬೇಕು. ಸಾವಿಗೀಡಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಬೇಕು. ಈ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಉನ್ನತ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ನೇರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನಾಡಿನ ಜನರ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 9: ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ (ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-1 ಮತ್ತು 2A) ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಸರಕಾರ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರ ಸಂಘ (ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು) ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂಘದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಬಸವರಾಜು,ಅವರು ಸೋಮವಾರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಇಂದಿನ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಚಿವರು-ಶಾಸಕರ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಈ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಜಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸಂಘವು ಮೌಲಿಕ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸದೀಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಹಣಕಾಸು ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇ-ಪ್ರೊಕ್ಯೂರ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ಸರ್ಕಾರವು 2024ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 21ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿರುವುದು, ಈ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸಂಘದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪ್ಲಾನ್

1. ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ:
ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅರ್ಹ ವರ್ಗ-1 ಮತ್ತು 2A ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಂಘದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು.

2. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಘಟಕಗಳು:
ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆ ನೀಡಲು ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.

3. ಕೆ.ಟಿ.ಟಿ.ಪಿ. ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯ:
ಕೆಲ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳು ಕಾನೂನಿನಂತೆ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದಿರುವರೆಂದರೆ, ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗದ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಘಕ್ಕೆ ಹಲವಾರು ದೂರುಗಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, “ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಂಘವು ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಸಮರ್ಪಕ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳು ಕೆ.ಟಿ.ಟಿ.ಪಿ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಅನುಯಾಯಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಸಂಘದ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಮತ್ನವಾಗಿದೆ.

State Contractors’ Association Applauds Government for Reservation to Backward Class (Category-1 & 2A) Contractors; Warns of Protests Against Departments Violating KTTP Act

The Karnataka State Backward Class (Category-1 & 2A) Contractors’ Association, Bengaluru, has extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Water Resources & Bengaluru Development Shri D.K. Shivakumar, and all ministers and legislators of the Karnataka Government for implementing reservation for backward class contractors under Category-1 and 2A in government tenders.

This reservation is the outcome of years of sustained efforts and advocacy by the association to secure rightful opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged contractors. The association played a pivotal role by actively engaging with the Department of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Finance Department, and e-Procurement authorities, providing valuable suggestions during official consultations. The recognition of the association in the Government of Karnataka’s official gazette dated 21-08-2024 stands as a testament to this persistent engagement.

Future Action Plan Outlined by the Association:

1. Membership Expansion: The association aims to extend membership to all eligible Category-1 and 2A backward class contractors across Karnataka who wish to register and participate.

2. District and Taluk-Level Units: The association plans to establish functional units at the district and taluk levels to address local issues and advocate for contractors’ rights.

3. Demand for Uniform Implementation of Reservation: While several departments are complying with the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurement (KTTP) Act and allotting reserved works to backward class contractors, some departments continue to violate the law. Numerous contractors have reported instances of discrimination and denial of rightful opportunities.

The association strongly urges such departments to strictly adhere to the KTTP Act and implement reservation policies without bias. Failing to do so will result in organized protests, including demonstrations in front of the offices of the respective department heads, warned Association President K.L. Suresh and General Secretary Shri Basavaraju during a press conference held at the Press Club of Bangalore.
