ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಅನಂತಪುರದ 54 ವರ್ಷದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂಬೆಗಾತ್ರದ ಅಪರೂಪದ “ಪಾಟ್ಸ್ ಪಫಿ ಟ್ಯೂಮರ್” ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಫೋರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರ ತಂಡ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದೆ.

ಘಟನೆ ಹೀಗಿತ್ತು:
ಶಾಮ್ (ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ) ಎಂಬುವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹುಬ್ಬುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಊತವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ ಈ ತೊಂದರೆ ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರು ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಂಬೆ ಗಾತ್ರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಿತು. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದರೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಫೋರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದರು.

ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ:
ರೋಗಿಯ ತೀವ್ರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಗಮನಿಸಿ ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಎಂಆರ್‌ಐ (ಮ್ಯಾಗ್ನೆಟಿಕ್ ರೆಸೋನೆನ್ಸ್ ಇಮೇಜಿಂಗ್) ಮೂಲಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಅದರಿಂದ ಟ್ಯೂಮರ್ ಮೆದುಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹರಡಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ದೃಢಪಟ್ಟರೂ, ಅದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಂಕು ಹರಡಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂಡೋಸ್ಕೋಪಿಕ್ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಸೋಂಕಿತ ಅಂಗಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿದ್ದು, ಶಾಮ್ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಜ್ಞರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಸೋಂಕುಗಳ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ತಜ್ಞರ ಸಲಹೆ ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ.
