ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10, 2025: ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಂತ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ದಿನೇಶ್‌ ಗುಂಡೂರಾವ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಇಂಡಿಯನ್‌ ಇನ್‌ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್‌ ಆಫ್‌ ಸೈನ್ಸ್‌ (ಐಐಎಸ್‌ಸಿ) ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ “ಲಾಂಗಿವಿಟಿ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕಾನ್ಫರೆನ್ಸ್” (ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯ ಭಾರತ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ) ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, “ಇಂದಿನ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ ತರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಎಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ಎಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂಬುದೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿ ರೂಢಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗುವಿಕೆ
ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್‌ಯುಎಸ್‌ನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಬ್ರಿಯಾನ್ ಕೆನಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಭಾರತದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದರೂ, ಜನರು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರವಾಗಿ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಲು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯ” ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಐಐಎಸ್‌ಸಿ ಇಂಟರ್‌ಡಿಸಿಪ್ಲಿನರಿ ಸೈನ್ಸಸ್‌ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಡೀನ್ ನವಕಂತ್ ಭಟ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗುವ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಗಣನೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿಯು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆತಂಕ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅನುವಂಶಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳು, ಪರಿಸರದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ತರಲು ತಜ್ಞರು ಈಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10, 2025: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಿಚ್ಮಂಡ್ ಟೌನ್‌ನ Bishop House (No. 3, Baldwin Girls’ School ಹಿಂದೆ) ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 9, ರಾತ್ರಿ 9:30ರಿಂದ 11:30ರ ನಡುವೆ N.L. Karkare ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಗುಂಡಾಗಳು ಸಂಚೋಚಿತ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಭದ್ರತಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಪಾಸ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ಹಾನಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ದಾಳಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ, Methodist Church ಮತ್ತು Baldwin ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಲು ನಡೆಸಲಾದ ಯೋಜಿತ ದಾಳಿ ಎಂದು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ Baldwin ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಸೆಪೂರ್ಣ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ನಡೆದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಇತ್ತು, ಇದೀಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶಿತ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ಆಗ್ರಹ:

1. N.L. Karkare ಮತ್ತು ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೂಂಡಾಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತಕ್ಷಣ FIR ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ, ಕಠಿಣ ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.


2. Methodist Church ಹಾಗೂ Baldwin ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ದಾಳಿಗಳು ಪುನರಾವೃತವಾಗದಂತೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಭದ್ರತಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕು.


3. ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಮಾಡಿದವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕಠಿಣ ದಂಡಾತ್ಮಕ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.



ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ Methodist Church ಮತ್ತು Baldwin ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ವೈಸ್ ಚೇರ್ಮನ್, ರೆವ್. ಡಾ. ಸೇಬೆಸ್ಟಿಯನ್ ರವಿ ಕುಮಾರ್, ತಮ್ಮ ತೀವ್ರ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, “ಈ ದಾಳಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇರುವ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ Methodist Church ಮತ್ತು Baldwin ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಶಾಂತಿ, ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. Methodist Church ಮತ್ತು Baldwin ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಒತ್ತಾಯದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಕ್ರಮ ಹೇಗಿರಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಕುತೂಹಲ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.

Bangalore, March 10, 2025: Akshara Foundation, a Bangalore-based public charitable trust committed to ensuring “Every Child in School and Learning Well,” has released the 2024-25 Gram Panchayat Level Maths Contests Report. The report highlights key findings from the initiative, conducted under the Ganitha Kalika Andolana (GKA), a state-supported maths learning movement.

The contests, held across 28 districts in Karnataka, assessed 5,95,517 children from 26,188 schools across 4,890 Gram Panchayats within 30 days. Designed to provide unbiased, community-led assessments, these contests offer insights into students’ maths skills while fostering parental and community engagement in education.

Key Findings from the Report:

Girls Outperform Boys: Across grades 4, 5, and 6, girls consistently performed better in the 70%-100% performance band.

Skill Proficiency Trends:

Subtraction skills improved from grade 4 to 5 (from 48% to 52%).

Division skills declined from grade 4 to 5 (from 44% to 38%), signaling the need for targeted interventions.


Community Engagement: The contests were held outside school settings, ensuring transparent evaluations and active discussions among parents, teachers, and local stakeholders.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Ashok Kamath, Chairman of Akshara Foundation, stated:
“For more than a decade, we have worked to make maths education in rural Karnataka accessible and engaging. Mathematics is the foundation for all future learning, and through Ganitha Kalika Andolana, we aim to create a lasting impact by uniting communities, parents, teachers, and children. This report not only highlights the success of the contests but also sheds light on challenges, particularly in rural areas. The Gram Panchayat Level Maths Contests have emerged as a transformative force in rural education, receiving strong support from stakeholders across Karnataka. The initiative, along with the Akshara Symposium ‘It All Adds Up 2024-25,’ is sponsored by HDFC Bank Parivartan.

With continued collaboration, this movement aims to build a future where every child in Karnataka gains essential numeracy skills, empowering rural communities and shaping a stronger education system.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನಗರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಾದ ನಗರಸಭೆ, ಪುರಸಭೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಭರ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಸಂಬಂಧ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪೌರ ಸೇವಾ ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘದ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಪೌರಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ 100% ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸುವಿಕೆ:
ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನೇರ ಪಾವತಿ, ದಿನಗೂಲಿ, ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊರಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪೌರಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರನ್ನು ಶೇ.100% ನೇರ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಲು ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ/ಕನ್ನಡ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನಿಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಡಿಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು.

ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು ಸಹಾಯಕರ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ:
25-30 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು ಸಹಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಪೌರಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ವಿಶೇಷ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ನಿಯಮದಡಿ ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಚಾಲಕರ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ:
ನಗರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಖರೀದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ವಾಹನ ಚಾಲಕರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಜಿಸಿ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಅಕೌಂಟೆಂಟ್, ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಮರ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸುವಿಕೆ:
ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಖಾಯಂ ಅಕೌಂಟೆಂಟ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯು ಬಗೆಹರಿಯದ ಕಾರಣ, ಈ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೂನಿಯರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಮರ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೌಕರರನ್ನು ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಿಇ ಪದವೀಧರ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಅಭಿಯಂತರರಿಗೆ ಮುಂಬಡ್ತಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಾನಗರಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವೃಂದ ಮತ್ತು ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷ ಅಭಿಯಂತರರ ಹುದ್ದೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಮುಂಬಡ್ತಿ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸೇವಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ:
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪೌರ ಸೇವಾ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನಾಗರೀಕ ಸೇವಾ ಅಧಿನಿಯಮ 1978 ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿ, ಜಿಪಿಎಫ್, ಕೆ.ಜಿ.ಐಡಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಗಳು ಪೌರ ಸೇವಾ ನೌಕರರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ನಗರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಂಘದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.
