ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು , ಜನವರಿ 29, 2025: ಕೊಡಗು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಡಿಕೇರಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಎಮ್ಮೆಮಾಡು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪವಾಡ ಪುರುಷರಾದ ಬಹು. ಹುತ್ ಸೂಫಿ ಶಹೀದ್ (ರ) ಹಾಗೂ ಸೈಯದ್ ಹಸನ್ ಸಖಾಫ್ ಅಲ್ ಹಳರಮಿ (ರ) ಯವರ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವ “ಉರೂಸ್ ಮುಬಾರಕ್” ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 21 ರಿಂದ 28, 2025ರವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಈ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಖತಮುಲ್ ಖುರಾನ್, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು, ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ವಿವಾಹ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಜಾತಿ-ಮತ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಭಕ್ತರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ.

ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 24, 2025ರಂದು ಆಗಮಿಸುವ ಭಕ್ತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾಂದವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅನ್ನಸಂತರ್ಪಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತಾಜುಲ್ ಇಸ್ಲಾಂ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಜಮಾ-ಅತ್ನ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಸಯ್ಯದ್ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಪಂಡಿತರು, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೊರರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನಾಯಕರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ.

400 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವ:
ಹಿಜ್ರಿ 11ನೇ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಇಸ್ಲಾಂನ ನವೋತ್ಥಾನ ನಾಯಕರು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ನಿಂದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ (ಸ)ವರ ಝಿಯಾರತ್ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಗು ತಲುಪಿದರು. ಕೊನೆಗೆ, ಎಮ್ಮೆಮಾಡು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಈ ಔಲಿಯಾಗಳ ದರ್ಗಾ ಜನರ ಸಂಕಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ದೊರಕುವ ಪುಣ್ಯಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Mission Save Constitution Intensifies Campaign to Ban EVMs and Restore Paper Ballots

Bengaluru, January 29, 2025 – Mission Save Constitution, under the leadership of National Convenor Mehmood Pracha, has announced a renewed nationwide campaign demanding the abolition of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the return of paper ballots for elections. Speaking at a press conference at the Press Club of Bengaluru, Pracha emphasized the urgent need for electoral transparency and accountability, citing widespread concerns over the credibility of EVM-based elections.

The campaign, launched on January 5, 2024, has involved peaceful protests, public meetings, legal petitions, and extensive awareness drives. Civil society groups have raised concerns that EVMs compromise free and fair elections, and that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has failed to ensure transparency.

1. Legal Battle & Government’s Response:

Following a directive from the Punjab and Haryana High Court to disclose CCTV footage and election-related documents from the Haryana Assembly elections, the Government of India unilaterally amended election rules, raising further suspicion.

The ECI has been accused of evading transparency and misleading courts and the public regarding electoral integrity.



2. Lack of Opposition Action:

Despite concerns over electoral manipulation, opposition parties have shown a lukewarm response.

After the Haryana and Maharashtra election results, civil society formally approached the Congress leadership on November 15, 2024, urging them to take a stand against EVMs and remove internal saboteurs.



3. Mass Mobilization Plan:
Mission Save Constitution has outlined the following actions to intensify its campaign:

Peaceful sit-in protests outside District Magistrate offices across the country, calling for paper ballots.

Mass court arrests to highlight electoral injustice.

Public demonstrations outside the Supreme Court and High Courts to uphold judicial independence.

Legal assistance for citizens organizing mock polls using paper ballots.




The movement has already conducted public meetings and marches in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Goa, Delhi, and Hyderabad. With today’s press conference in Bengaluru, Mission Save Constitution has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.

Advika Care Foundation Hosts “We Not I: Every Step Tells a Story” Walkathon in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, January 29, 2025 – Advika Care Foundation, in collaboration with Prakriya Hospitals, is set to organize the “We Not I: Every Step Tells a Story” Walkathon on February 2, 2025, at Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru. The 5K Walkathon, which will begin at 6:30 AM, will be flagged off by Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka. The event is also blessed by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the global humanitarian and spiritual leader of the Art of Living.

ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಸು ಮಾಡಲು ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಪ್ರಕರಣ 10 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಗಳ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಂದೆ 1992 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ 73ನೇ ಮತ್ತು 74ನೇ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳಾದ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರ కళం సంశగళ్ళన్ను సంవిధానం అధక్కక భాగఉన్నా లయకు.

1993 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿಯ ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊದಲು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ನಂತರ 2016 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಅಂದಿನ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ. ಆರ್. ರಮೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ರಚಿಸಿ. ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಅಧಿನಿಯಮ 1993ರನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದಿತು. ಇದು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಮಾದರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಯ್ದೆ ಕೇವಲ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದು ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ನಿಧಾನಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಕ್ಷೆ ರಚನೆ. ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ಥಾಯಿ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳ ನಿಯಮಗಳು ಜನರ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಪ್ರಕರಣ 3 ಇ ಅನ್ವಯ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸಭಾ ನಿಯಮಗಳ ರಚನೆ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳಾದ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಆಡಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೇಲಿನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪ ತಡೆಯಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಕಛೇರಿ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಣಾ ಕೈಪಿಡಿ ರಚನೆ, ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಶಿಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ರಚನೆ, ಮುಂತಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕನಸು ನನಸು ಮಾಡುವಂತ ಪೂರಕ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಸೃ4 ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೋರ್ವರ ಕನಸಿನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು “ಗಾಂಧಿ ಭಾರತ” ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಕನಸಿನ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ.

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೇ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾಗಿಯೇ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಮರ್ಪಕ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ತೊಡಕಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರ: ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಾವಧಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಬೇಕು.

Indian Educator Pens Open Letter to President Trump, Advocating for Humane Immigration Policies

Bengaluru,Karnataka,India – Dr. D. Kiran Jeevan, a TEDx speaker and educator, has penned an open letter to U.S. President Donald Trump, urging a compassionate approach to immigration policies. Having once lived in the United States on an F1 visa before returning to India, Dr. Jeevan expressed gratitude for the opportunities America provided him while advocating for dignity and humane treatment for all immigrants.

In his letter, Dr. Jeevan acknowledged Trump’s vision of “Making America Great Again” but emphasized the importance of balancing enforcement with empathy. He cited disturbing reports of inhumane deportation practices, such as a recent flight to Colombia where passengers were allegedly handcuffed and denied basic necessities.

“Every human being is made in the image of God, deserving of respect and compassion,” Dr. Jeevan wrote. He urged Trump to ensure that immigration policies uphold America’s legacy as a beacon of hope for millions, calling for dignified treatment even in deportation processes.

The letter also touched on the plight of undocumented immigrants, many of whom contribute to the U.S. economy while seeking a better future for their families. Dr. Jeevan appealed for policies that reflect America’s core values of hope, liberty, and justice for all.
