FlixBus India partners with S.M. Kannappa Automobiles to accelerate the future of inter-city bus travel in India

Bengaluru, 15/10/2024:  FlixBus India, a global travel-tech leader of affordable and sustainable travel and S.M. Kannappa (SMK) Automobiles Private Limited, a pioneer in bus body manufacturing recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at an event held at The Ritz Carlton, Bengaluru. This strategic partnership is aimed at enhancing the mobility experience by combining SMK’s cutting-edge bus body manufacturing capabilities with FlixBus’s technology-driven platform for passenger transport. Over the next year, the collaboration will focus on developing a fully customized FlixBus product tailored to meet the needs of FlixBus India’s operating partners across India.

Kannappa Automobiles will bring its expertise in manufacturing high-quality, deluxe, air-conditioned sleeper and semi-sleeper coaches.

Key Aspects of the MoU are:

·         Priority support & services: FlixBus’s partners will benefit from priority order delivery, competitive pricing, and access to SMK’s dedicated service network across India.

·         Technology & innovation: Both parties will work together to integrate advanced technology and digital platforms, ensuring passengers have access to a seamless booking experience while operating partners benefit from optimized fleet management.


As FlixBus India continues its rapid expansion, this strategic partnership with SMK Automobiles is set to play a pivotal role in achieving its ambitious growth targets. Following the successful launch of operations in South India, connecting key cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, FlixBus India aims to significantly increase its fleet size and expand its network to more regions across India. Games24x7 launches TechXpedite, the second edition of its accelerator program to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem

Bengaluru, October 15, 2024: Games24x7, India’s most user-centric, scientific, and innovative online gaming company, announced the launch of the second edition of its accelerator program, TechXpedite, aimed at catalyzing innovation in India’s startup ecosystem. With AWS as its cloud partner, this 60-day accelerator program is designed to empower startups in three key areas of gaming, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and impact-driven inclusive technology, through product development, services and research.

TechXpedite will host city-based chapters across India to engage startups from relevant sectors, providing access to mentorship and networking opportunities. A cohort of 15-20 ready to accelerate startups selected from the applications will be part of a structured mentorship program where they will interact with industry experts, VCs and technology leaders in tailored sessions designed specifically to address challenges faced by startups looking to scale their business and operations. Participants will receive credits of around US$500,000 from over 30 credit partners.



The accelerator program is open to startups working on gaming, AI, and inclusive technology. With a focus on scalable innovation, TechXpedite aims to empower startups to create working proofs of concept (PoCs), use-case applications, and market-ready solutions. The program will culminate in a pitch event in February 2025, where selected startups will present their solutions to a panel of investors, industry experts, and domain leaders.

“ಕನ್ನಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬನ್ನಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ” “ಮನೆಗೊಬ್ಬ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ, ಮುನ್ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಬಾರಣ್ಣ” “ನಾಡು ನುಡಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ – ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೊಣೆ”

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭಾಷಾವಾರು ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವಾಗಿ 68 ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದಿವೆ. ಭಾಷಾವಾರು ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ ವಿಂಗಡನೆಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದರ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಈಡೇರಿವೆಯೇ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈಡೇರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳಿದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ, ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಲು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ತೋರದೆ ಇರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾಡನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದವರು ನಾವು, ಕೋಟೆ ಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದವರು ನಾವು. ಗುಡಿ, ಗೋಪುರ, ಮಂದಿರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದವರು ನಾವು. ಕೆರೆ, ಕುಂಟೆ, ಗುಂಡು ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದವರು ನಾವು, ನೆಲ-ಜಲ-ಭಾಷೆ – ಗಡಿ ಉಳಿಸಲು ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಬೂಟು ಲಾಠಿ ಏಟು ತಿಂದು ಸೆರೆವಾಸ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದವರು ನಾವು. ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಕಲಿತು, ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವವರು ನಾವು, ಹಸಿವೆಂದು ಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನ ಹಾಕಿ, ಆಸರೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ನಾವು. ಇಂತಹ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನೂ ಧನ್ಯನು. ಆದರೆ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಪ್ರೇಮ, ತ್ಯಾಗ, ಸ್ನೇಹ, ಸಹಬಾಳ್ವೆಯ ವಿಶಾಲ ಹೃದಯವಂತಿಕೆಯ ಭಾವನೆಗೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಶೋಚನೀಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ವಲಸಿಗರ ಅಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪರಭಾಷಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ತಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮವರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಉದ್ಯೋಗ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ, ವಹಿವಾಟು ವಲಸಿಗರ ಹಿಡಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಬಂದಂತಹ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಪೆಟ್ಟು ಬಿದ್ದಂತಲ್ಲವೇ ? ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಎಂಬುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಹಕ್ಕು.

ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕು. ಅದೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಪರಕೀಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನ ಬದಿಗಿಟ್ಟು ಗುಲಾಮರಂತೆ ಬದುಕಬೇಕೆ ? ಯಾವುದೇ ಖಾಸಗಿ ವಲಯದ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ಈ ನಾಡಿನ ರೈತರ ಭೂಮಿ, ನೀರು, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದೇ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು ಈ ನೆಲದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಶೇಕಡಾವಾರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ

ನೀಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ ತೋರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸುತ್ತೋಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಹುರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು. ಐಟಿ, ಬಿಟಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು, ಶಾಪಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಲ್‌ ಗಳು, ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು, ವಸತಿ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯಗಳು, ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಥಿಯೇಟ- ರ್‌ಗಳು, ಹೋಟೆಲ್‌ಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಣ್ಣಪುಟ್ಟ ವಲಯದ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದ ರೈಲ್ವೇ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ದೂರವಾಣಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಅಂಚೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ಗಳ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸಜಹ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆಗಳು ಹೊರ ರಾಜ್ಯದವರ ಪಾಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೇನು ಉಳಿದಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಗಿಸುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ನಾಡಿನ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳು ಎದುರಾಗುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಖಾಸಗಿಯವರ ಬೆದ ರಿಕೆಗೆ ತಲೆಬಾಗದೇ ಈ ನಾಡಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಖಾಸಗಿ ವಲಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡಲೇಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸಿ ಹೊರರಾಜ್ಯದವರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ನೀಡುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಂಪನಿ, ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯಾದರೂ ಸರಿಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಸವಲತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ಪರವಾನಿಗೆ ರದ್ದು ಮಾಡುವ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಕೆ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ದೇವರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾ ಜಾಥಾವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು – ಮೆಜೆಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ಫ್ರೀಡಂಪಾರ್ಕ್ ವರೆಗೆ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Bengaluru, established as a Regional Research Centre in 1971, has significantly expanded its activities over the years. Now located in a tranquil setting, the institute focuses on advancing research in Ayurveda, promoting its benefits, and enhancing its application in healthcare. This growth reflects a commitment to integrating traditional practices with contemporary scientific approaches, fostering a deeper understanding of Ayurveda’s potential.It is recognised as “Centre of Excellence for Madhumeha (Diabetes)” by the Ministry of Ayush. It is one of the peripheral pharmacovigilance centres for monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions and misleading advertisements related to Ayurveda, Siddha & Unani drugs.

CARI houses a multidisciplinary team engaged in diverse research and integrative healthcare activities. Clinical services are provided through its NABL and NABH accredited hospital wing. (OPD, 28 bedded in-patient facility telemedicine and community outreach). These services include expert consultations, Ayurveda dispensary, diagnostic laboratory (biochemistry, hematology, ultra sound, X-ray & ECG), panchakarma, yoga therapies, ambulance for patient transportation and a canteen. Our involvement extends to supporting flagship initiatives of government such as Swachh Bharat and the Nutrition Mission.

EMRS project (Ekalavya Model Residential Schools) entitled ” General health screening with special focus on Tuberculosis, Anaemia, Hemoglobinopathies and Malnutrition and Ayurveda interventions for better health outcomes in the students of EMRS schools functioning under M/o Tribal Affairs. This project is initiated in 16 CCRAS institutes and benefited by students of 55 EMRS schools all over the country.

This Institute focuses its research efforts primarily on metabolic disorders and Ayurveda dietetics, with additional domains covering outreach healthcare research, drug standardization, and medicinal plants research. Under centre of excellence scheme, approaches for the prevention and management of Diabetes are validated. Risk assessment and management of diabetes through integrated healthcare services, lifestyle guidelines, medicinal plants, home remedies and audio-visuals are made available for generating awareness. Capacity building for students in diabetes management, research methodology, training for public about diabetes, Yoga classes are also conducted.

2. MoU with Vietnam on Medicinal Plants- It is a major step toward advancing traditional medicine practices worldwide. To encourage the sharing of information, resources, and research in this area, Vietnam’s Traditional Medicine Administration and India’s National Medicinal Plants Board will collaborate closely.

3 Landmark MoU with Malaysia on Ayurveda- An Ayurveda Chair has been operationalized at the Universiti Tunku A bdul Rahman(UTAR) as an outcome of the MoU between Institute Of Teaching & Research in Ayurveda and Universiti Tunku abdul Rahman(UTAR).

4. Promoting the “One Herb, One Standard” Initiative -By standardizing herbal medications, this initiative seeks to increase the efficacy and security of pharmaceuticals throughout India. Aligning with global health standards and bolstering confidence in traditional medicines are crucial goals of this move.

5. Special Medical Stores for Ayush Medicines To guarantee easy access to Ayush medications, Shri Prataprao Jadhav announced on August 26, 2024, that the government intended to open special medical stores at every tehsil level.

6. NABH evaluation of 1489 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) completed According to the report received from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), the evaluation of 1489 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) has been completed, and1005 of

these AAM (Ayush) have been certified for Ayush Entry Level Certification (AELC).

Major Campaigns and Initiatives:

7. “Har Ghar Ayur Yog” Campaign for a Healthier India

The “Har Ghar AyurYog” initiative was started by the Ministry with the goal of increasing the uptake of Ayurveda and Yoga in communities. Including yoga in the Fit India School certification is one of thehighlights. “Bharat Ka Prakriti Parikshan” abhiyan to be at the core of the initiative.

8. Ayush Camps for Geriatric Population- 14,692 Ayush camps were organised around the country in a massive outreach effort to meet the healthcare needs of the elderly.

9. Centers of Excellence in Ayush In partnership with esteemed establishments like IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi, TMC Mumbai, and JNUNew Delhi, six new Centers of Excellence were founded.

10. Inclusion of Ayush Packages in AB-PMJAY

The Ministry convened a review meeting to incorporate Ayurvedic packages under the Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to incorporate Ayush treatment into mainstream healthcare.
