ಹಿಟಾಚಿ ಎನರ್ಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಇಂಧನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವತ್ತ ಇದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅದು ಭಾರತದ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ (ಸಿಎಸ್ಆರ್) ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಔಟ್ರೀಚ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಇದು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಮೂಲಕಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಒಂದೆರಡು ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೈಸೂರು ಮತ್ತು ವಡೋದರಾದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ 1000+ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಹುಡುಗಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ, ನಾವು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಿದೆವು, ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ತಂಡವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು, ಸಂವಹನ ನಡೆಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿತು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಬಾಲಕಿಯರಿಗೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಹಿಟಾಚಿ ಎನರ್ಜಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿ ಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕೃತ ಗುಂಪು ಚರ್ಚೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು (8th& 9th ತರಗತಿ) ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ತಂಡವು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿಸಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೋಜಿನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 45 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಬಂಜಾರ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದು ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 14 ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮತಗಳು ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯದಡಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ 5 ಮೀಸಲು ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹಾಗೂ 2.5 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮತಗಳಿರುವ ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಮೀಸಲು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳೆದ 3 ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಸತತವಾಗಿ 4 ಬಾರಿ ಬಂಜಾರ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಮೀಸಲು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಬಂಜಾರ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂಜಾರ ಕೋಟಾ ಅಂತಾನೆ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನೀಡದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಆಘಾತವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಬಂಜಾರ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ಬಿ.ಜೆ.ಪಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಸದಾಶಿವ ಆಯೋಗದ ಒಳಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನೇ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ವಿಚಾರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಇದನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ರಾಜ್ಯ ನಾಯಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ ಕೂಡಲೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನೀಡುವುದರ ಕುರಿತು ಪಕ್ಷ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಮರುಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವುಳ್ಳ ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮನೋಹರ ಐನಾಪೂರ ರವರಿಗೆ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನೀಡಿ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಕೊಡಲು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಂಜಾರ ಜನಾಂಗ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಬಂಜಾರ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಬಿ.ಟಿ.ಲಲಿತಾ ನಾಯಕ್ ರವರು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ‘ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜದ ಮುಖಂಡರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ಯಾನಾಯಕ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶ್ವತ್ ನಾಯಕ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಪಿ.ಕೆ.ಖಂಡೋಬ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯ ನಾಯಕ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಶಂಕರ್ ನಾಯಕ್, ಶ್ರೀ ನರಸಿಂಹ ನಾಯಕ್, ಡಾ॥ಪರಮೇಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮನೋಹರ ಐನಾಪೂರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸಕರು, ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದೇ ಕಡತಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಮಾಡದೇ ಇರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ.
ಈ ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಾನು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅನೇಕ ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸುಮಾರು 20-25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಹಾಗೂ 2010ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ತನಕ ಸುಮಾರು 325 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಗಳ ಪಾದಯಾತ್ರೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ನಂತರ, ಮೇಕೆದಾಟು, ಭಾರತ್ ಜೋಡೋ ಯಾತ್ರೆ ಗುಂಡ್ಲುಪೇಟೆಯಿಂದ ರಾಯಚೂರು ತನಕ ಪಾದಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಕಾಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತನಾಗಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಗಾಂಧಿ ವೇಷ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಂಜನಗೂಡು (ಕಳಲೆ ಕೇಶವಮೂರ್ತಿ), ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ (ಬಸವರಾಜು ಹಿಟ್ನಾಳ್), ಆರ್ ಆರ್ ನಗರ (ಕುಸುಮ ಹೆಚ್), ಸಿ.ವಿ. ರಾಮನ್ ನಗರ (ಆರ್ ಸಂಪತ್‌ರಾಜ್), ಶಿವಾಜಿನಗರ (ರಿಜ್ವಾನ್ ಹರ್ಷದ್) ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದಿರುವಂತಹ ನಮ್ಮಂತಹ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಆದ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಬೇಕಾದವರು ಆಗಿರುವಂತಹವರ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಲೋಕೋಪಯೋಗಿ ಕಡತ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಗಾಹಗಿ ಕಡತವೊಂದನ್ನು ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 4-5 ಬಾರಿ ಖುದ್ದಾಗಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಕಡತವನ್ನು ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಿ ಎಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರು ಆಪ್ತ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜಪ್ಪರವರಿಗೆ ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಕಡತ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೂ ಸಹ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ರಾಜಪ್ಪರವರು ನಮಗೆ ಆ ಜಾಗ ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಆಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಬೂಬು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ಕಳೆದ ಕಡತದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಹ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವ ಕಡತವು ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ವಾಪಸ್ಸು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಚಿವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದ್ದು, ತದನಂತರ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಉಳಿದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಪಡೆಯದೆ ಹಲವಾರು ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಆದೇಶ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಲೋ.ಇ.235/ಸೇವಿಸು/2023 ದಿನಾಂಕ 17-01-2024ರ ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲಕಾಡು
ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ವಯೋನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಸದರಿ ಜಾಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಶಾಸಕರ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರೂ ಸಹ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದೆ ನಮಗೆ ಸಬೂಬು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
1. PWD/59/SAG/2024 ಸದರಿ ಕಡತವು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಗಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದು ಈ ತನಕ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಆಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
2. PWD/220/SAG/2024 – ថ덜덜된 김/ /, ಮುಗಿದಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ದುರುದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರ ಆಪ್ತ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ವಾಪಸ್ಸು ಹಾಕಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತದನಂತರ 2-3 ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆಗಳ ಆದೇಶಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
ನಾವು ನಿಗಮ ಮಂಡಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೋ ಅಥವಾ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಪಕ್ಷ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲು ನಮ್ಮಂತಹ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಇಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರ. ಇನ್ನು 4-5 ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನೀತಿ ಸಂಹಿತೆ ಜಾರಿಯಾಗಬಹುದು.
ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ಕಡತವನ್ನು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಲಯದಿಂದ ಅತಿ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಡತವನ್ನು ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋರುತ್ತಾ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಆಗು-ಹೋಗುಗಳಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜಪ್ಪರವರೇ ನೇರ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುತ್ತುರಾಯಪ್ಪ ತಿಳುಸಿದರು.

In the run up to the state elections in Karnataka in 2023, the group released a series of report cards across various sectors on government performance. This year, with a view for voters to choose wisely, we are releasing a series of reports titled ‘Guarantee Checks’ evaluating the incumbent government’s claims concerning its performance. The approach is to present official claims and juxtapose the claims with evidence from official or other credible sources. We released our first report in this series, titled ‘Employment, Wages and Inequality’, on March 11, 2024.

Some salient features of the first report
All data on employment and wages mentioned in this report are based on publicly available government data from the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS), the now discontinued Employment- Unemployment Survey and the World Inequality Database. The results are representative of 49 crore workers in India.

The BJP government’s 2019 manifesto said: We will also encourage industries and corporates to generate better employment opportunities for women.
Reality
42% of graduates under the age of 25 are unemployed.
Between 2011-12 to 2022-23, the share of the self-employed in the workforce has risen. More than half of the men and more than two-thirds of women are presently ‘self-employed’. Stagnant household earnings among the poor force more women to work even as unpaid helpers such as working without earnings in family farms or small shops because they cannot find any other remunerative employment.
In the last 5 years, women working as unpaid household helpers has risen from 1 in 4 to 1 in 3.
Many are exercising this option instead of being in dire hunger or death.

In their 2019 manifesto, the BJP stated that- “Under our government, there has been a 42% growth in the National Minimum Wage. We will maintain the same direction over the next five years to ensure a respectable living for the workers.”
Reality
Wages, in real terms, have stagnated across all the main categories of employment – regular wage, self-employed and casual labour.
An expert committee on wages, initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, led by Anoop Satpathy in 2019, said that the national minimum floor wages in India should be at least Rs 375 per day which translates to Rs 3,050 per week in 2022-23.
• Nearly 30 crore workers earn less than this threshold amount. 9 out of 10 casual wage workers, 3 out of 5 self-employed workers and half of
the regular wage workers earn less than this threshold. More than 1 in 3 households are earning less than this minimum amount.

In nominal terms, the GDP per capita in the last 10 years has increased by 60%. However, the income share of the top 10% of the population has been increasing and now it is 60% while the incomes of the others is reducing.
. In 2012, 63% of the national wealth was held by the top 10%. This has increased to 64.5% in 2022. In 2012, the bottom 50% held 6.1% of the national wealth. This has further reduced to 5.6% in 2022.
Moving in the Wrong Direction
Given the situation where wages have not been increasing, the government should have ideally taken steps towards the following policy measures.
1. Right to food for all
2. Right to employment with living wages and timely payment of wages for all
3. Right to free and quality healthcare
4. Right to free and quality education
5. Right to pensions
However, from this year’s budget we have seen that the budget allocations are moving towards the opposite direction. The budget allocation of five major social sector schemes (NREGA, NSAP, Mid-Day Meals, ICDS & PMMVY) has only been 0.40% of the GDP.
National, 10th March 2024: MyThali, a program of Arogya World, organized the “Run In Red” event at Shalini Grounds, Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, in honor of International Women’s Day. The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of women’s heart health, acknowledging women as the heart of the family.
The event witnessed hundreds of enthusiastic Bangaloreans from all walks of life, gathered for a 3km Walk-Jog-Run walkathon, wearing red to show unity and support for women’s heart health. The event provided an opportunity to raise awareness about a crucial topic that is frequently disregarded in our culture.
In addition to the walkathon, “Run In Red” provided participants with free health screening, professional advice on heart health and fitness, a dynamic warm-up & cool down workout session, and a delicious organic breakfast. Participants were also able to speak with healthcare professionals and fitness experts to learn more about maintaining a healthy heart.
