13th State Level Philatelic Exhibition “KARNAPEX 2024- A festival of Stamps” in Bengaluru from 5th to 8th January 2024

KARNATAKA Postal Circle is very happy to organize the 13th State Level Philatelic Exhibition “KARNAPEX 2024- A festival of Stamps” in Bengaluru from 5th to 8th January 2024 at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. The last State Level Philatelic Exhibition was held in 2019 in Mangaluru and now Karnapex-2024 is scheduled in Bengaluru. KARNAPEX 2024 aims to promote philately activities and give an opportunity to Philatelists to compete at State Level and further at National Level.

The exhibition will showcase about 690 frames displaying the rare and unique collection of stamps on various subjects highlighting History, Culture, Art, Heritage, Science, Technology, Flora & Fauna, Wildlife etc through Stamps, Special Covers, Special Cancellations and Pictorial Cancellations. The focus areas on each of the days would be:
5th Jan 2024- History & Culture of Karnataka
6th Jan 2024- Science, Technology & Environment
7th Jan 2024- Mental Health & Sports
8th Jan 2024- Women Empowerment

During the exhibition there will be release of Special Covers on each day.
On 5th January 2024, special covers on “Mascot carried special cover”, “Kaavi Kale”, “Sri. M.V. Visvesvarya (FKCCI)”, “Karnataka @ 50”, “Late Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar”, “100 years of Carlton House”, “100 years of Lalith Mahal” and “Mysore Sandal Soap” will be released.
Special covers on “IISC – Centenary Statue”, “UPI – Digital Revolution in Financial Sector”, “Digital Currency of Bharath”, “Aditya – First Solar Mission of Bharath” and “Bannerghatta Biological Park” will be released on 6th January 2024.
Special covers on “NIMHANS”, “Millets are Good for Health”, “Ragi”, “Jawar Roti”, “Hopscotch or KUNTIBILLE”, “Spinning the Top or Lattu or Bugiri”, “Kambala”, “Pagade”, “Salumanne Aata”, “Ali Guli Manne”, “Chowka Bara”, “Snakes and Ladder”, “Gilli Danda”, “Lagori” and “Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium” will be released on 7th January 2024.
Last day will witness special covers on “Guiness World Record Sea Shell”, “Kafpudi Sakamma” and “Child Marriage is a punishable offence”.
Attractive Picture Post Cards on “Bhagawan Shree Bahubali vaibhav” “Rani Abbakka” “Tourist & Heritage Places” will also be released.

KARNAPEX 2024 has lined up a slew of activities in collaboration with Daak Room for General Public and Students viz., workshops on postcard writing, origami, Mandala Art, Envelope Art, Mural wall art etc. Live all day art counters will be set up for the visitors with Tattoo, Portrait, Caricature artists. Visitors have a chance to win prizes by participating in the impromptu quiz. A Pop-up post office will also be set up to entice the visitors to send a postcard to their loved ones. Visitors can engage in a 5–10-minute conversation with Ms. Ruby Naaz, poetic maestro and get enthralled as she will weave magic to craft a masterpiece poetry. Institutions like ISRO, NIMHANS and Aranya Bhavan will be setting up exciting displays in the arena. Visitors will also get a chance to see the memoirs of Late Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar.

On 9th December 2023 during the Postal Heritage Trail the charming Official Mascot of Karnapex “CHITTIE” was unveiled and the same has become very popular on social media giving wide publicity for KARNAPEX 2024. Selfie points with facility for Polaroid photos are setup to get clicked with Chittie. Street plays were held in Beaulieu on 9th December and at Church Street on 22nd December 2023.

The exhibition venue will have stalls for sale of philately related items viz Stamps, Special Cover, Coins, Ancillaries etc. Department of Tourism, Forest, KMF, KSDL have also setup their stalls for the public visiting the exhibition. Add on to this DOP has also stalls for updation of Aadhaar and My Stamp.
Logo of the event was unveiled at UNESCO identified Heritage Site Halebeedu on 11th October 2023 and a dedicated app for the event was launched at Mysuru on 29th Dec 2023. Social Media Influencers have shown keen interest in the event and are collaborating through social media or physical presence during the event.

On 5th January 2024 morning, Shri. P.C Mohan, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bengaluru Central Constituency will be the Chief Guest. Shri Rizwan Arshad, Hon’ble MLA, Shivajinagar Constituency; Shri. N A Haris, Hon’ble MLA, Shantinagar Constituency; Ms. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and Shri Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, President, FKCCI will be the Guests of Honor.

7th January 2024 Sri. B.N Gangadhar , Ex-Director NIMHANS, Chairman (offg), National Medical Commission, New Delhi will be the Chief Guest and Smt. Pratima Murthy, Director, NIMHANS will be the Guest of Honor in the morning session.
In the evening session on 7th January, Shri.B. Nagendra, Minister of Youth Empowerment & Sports, GoK and Dr. K Govindraj, MLC, Political Secretary to Chief Minister, President, Asian Basketball Federation, President, Karnataka Olympic Association will be the Chief Guests. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಂಗಾಮತ, ಬೆಸ್ತ, ಮೊಗವೀರ, ಕೋಲಿ, ಕಬ್ಬಲಿಗ, ಅಂಬಿಗ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಮತಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಂಗಾಮತಸ್ಥರ ಸಂಘದವತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಾರ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಮೀನುಗಾರ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಾದ, ಮೊಗವೀರ, ಕೋಲಿ, ಕಬ್ಬಲಿಗ, ಗಂಗಾಮತ, ಅಂಬಿಗ ಮುಂತಾದ 39 ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಪದಗಳಿಂದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಗುರುತ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜ ಒಟ್ಟು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 60 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಧೀಕ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸರ್ವೊತ್ತಮುಖ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಅತ್ಯವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಯುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸುವ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ರೂಪಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಿಕತೆ, ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಸಮಾರ್ಪಣಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಚಿಂತನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರು ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಗಳ ಉನ್ನತಿಕರಣ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಗೆಹರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ರಂಗದ ಸಮಚಿತ್ತ ಭಾವದ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್, ಓರ್ವ ಪ್ರಕಾಣಿಕ ಶುದ್ಧ ಹಸ್ತ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ದಾರ್ಶನಿಕ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ, ಸಂತಸದೃಶ ಜನನಾಯಕ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿರವರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪರ ಚಿಂಚನೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಿಲುವು ಮತ್ತು ಘನ ನಾಯಕತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್‌ಮದ್ವರಾಜ್ ಶುದ್ದ ಹಸ್ತ, ಪ್ರಮಾಣಿಕ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲ್ಪಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನೇತಾರರು ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದಿಂದ ಉಡುಪಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಮತಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಭಾ.ಜ.ಪ ಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ.ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರು ಹಲವಾರು ಭಾಷೆ ಪರಿಣಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿ ಗೆಲವು ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅವಕಾಶ ಆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಂಧುಗಳು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾ.ಜ.ಪ.ದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಾಯಕರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೂ ಮನವಿ ನೀಡಿ ಹಕ್ಕೊತಾಯ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಆಶಾಕಿರಣವಾದ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ನೀಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷದವರು ಅರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮದ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಂಗಾಮತಸ್ಥರ ಸಂಘ(ರಿ)ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ రాజ్య ಉಸಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದ ಗಂಗಾಮತಸ್ಥರ ಸಂಘದ (1) ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಮೌಲಾಲಿ (2)ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಹಾದೇವ ಖರ್ಜಿಗಿ, (3) ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಣ್ಣೂರು ನಾಗರಾಜ, (4) ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮುರಳಿಧರ್.ಸಿ (5) ಬಿ.ಜೆ.ಪಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಅವ್ವಣ್ಣ ಮ್ಯಾಕೇರಿ ರವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಈಗ 75 ವರ್ಷಗಳು

ಯುವ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿಗಳು ಚಾರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಸಾಹಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗುವಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಇತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದಾಗ, ವಸತಿ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಸಿಗುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು, ಈ ನಾಡಿನ ತುಂಬಾ ಇರುವ ನೆಲ, ಜಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುವ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿದತ್ತ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಾಹಸ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಹಾನ್ ಧೈಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೇ ಯೂಥ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್, ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲಿನ ಮೂಲ ಜರ್ಮನಿ,

ಜರ್ಮನಿಯ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ರಿಚರ್ಡ್ ಹೆರ್ಮನ್ ರವರಿಂದ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 1909ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯೂಥ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಇದಾದ 40 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ 1949ರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಡೀ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾ ವಿಷ್ಯಾದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪ್ರಪ್ರಥಮವಾಗಿ ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ನಗರಿಯಾದ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಆಂದೋಲನದೊಂದಿಗೆ 14.07.1949 ರಂದು ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲಿನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಮಹಾರಾಜಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕೊಠಡಿಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಸಂಘಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನೆರವು, ದೇಣಿಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಕಂಡಿತು. ಅಂದು ಸುಮಾರು 22 ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದವು. 1951ರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ನ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ ಪಡೆದ ಏಷ್ಯಾದ ಮೊದಲ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು 1955 ರಲ್ಲಿ ದೆಹಲಿಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್.ಜಿ. ಪಡಕಿಯವರೇ ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆದು ಸತತ ಮೂರು ದಶಕಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ 14 ಜನ ಮಹನೀಯರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಶ್ರೀ ಪಡಕಿಯವರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗಿ 2011ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧನ ಹೊಂದಿದರು.

1955ರಿಂದ 1985ರವರೆಗೆ ದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಸ್ವಂತ ಕಟ್ಟಡವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ತೀವ್ರ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಮುಗ್ಗಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭವದು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣರಿಗೆಯು ಇಡೀ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಜನತೆಯೇ ಮೆಚ್ಚುವಂತಹದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಿಮಾಲಯ ಚಾರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡದ್ದು, ಕೋಟಿ ಕೋಟ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಅಂತರ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸೈಕಲ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ಚಾಣಕ್ಯಪುರಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯೂಥ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಛೇರಿಯು ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಈ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಆಗಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶಾಂತಿ ಕಬೀರ್, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮ್ ನಿವಾಸ್ ಮಿರ್ದಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಧರ್ಮವೀರ ಇವರುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಭಾವಕಾರಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಪಡತಿಯವರು ಹೆಗಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ದುಡಿದಿದ್ದರು.

ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ಸ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾವು ಒಂದು ಎನ್.ಜಿ.ಒ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, ವಿಶ್ವದ ಸುಮಾರು ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಐವತ್ತಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಶೇಷ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಾರಣಗಳು, ಸಾವಿರಾರು

ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಚಾರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆ ಅದೇವ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಲಕ್ಷದ ಐವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆಜೀವ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ 23 ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಾಖೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ 300 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಘಟಕಗಳಿದೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಾಖೆಯು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಂಠೀರವ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಾಖೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 10ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಘಟಕಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಚಾರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೇಣಿ, ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವ ಘಟ್ಟಗಳು, ಆರಾವಳಿ, ವಿಂಧ್ರಶ್ರೇಣಿ, ನದಿ-ಸಾಗರ ಬಯಲುಗಳು, ಹಿಮಾಲಯ ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಬಗೆಯ ಪರಿಸರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳೂ ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. ಚಾರಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ಇಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಡ್ಡಾಡುವಾಗ ಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತ, ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯ, ಚಂದ್ರೋದಯ, ಜಲಪಾತಗಳು, ಗಿರಿ- ಶಿಖರಗಳು, ಹಿಮಾವೃತ ಪರ್ವತಗಳು, ನದಿಗಳು, ಕಡಲ ಕಿನಾರೆಗಳು, ನೀರಿನ ಅಲೆಗಳು, ಉದುರುವ ಎಲೆಗಳು, ಭಯ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ಆರಣ್ಯಗಳು, ವನ್ಯ ಪಾಣಿಗಳು, ಚಿಟ್ಟೆಗಳು, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು, ಸರೀಸೃಪಗಳು. ಇವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಭೂರಮೆಯ ಸುಂದರತೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಂದತೆಯ ವಿಹಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ವಾದಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಯೂತ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲಿನ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವದ ವಿವರ ಹೀಗಿದೆ:

ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ: ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೆ – ರೂ. 350/-:

18 ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಒಳಪಟ್ಟವರು ರೂ. 100/- ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ

ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಯಾವುದೇ ಲಾಭ-ನಷ್ಟ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

18 ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ರೂ. 200/- ಆಜೀವ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ – ರೂ. 3000/-

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ಇದರ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಯದು.

KSRTC Commemorates New Year with Dependents of Deceased Employees
Today, the Hon’ble Transport and Muzrai Minister commemorated the onset of 2024 by spending time with the dependent family members of deceased employees. Last year, in response to the tragic accidents, relief compensations of Rs. 1 crore each were disbursed to nine dependents of the deceased employees. Today, a sum of Rs. 1 crore each was disbursed to three more dependent families of the deceased employees.

While presenting the cheque, The Minister conveyed his heartfelt wishes for success in their future endeavours. He presented sweets and sarees as tokens of appreciation to the dependents. While Speaking, he acknowledged that while he couldn’t replace the irreplaceable loss of the deceased employees, the implemented insurance scheme aims to offer strength and security to pursue the education of their children. He emphasized that this financial aid would empower them to lead independent lives.
“Sarige Suraksha” Accident Relief Scheme
In an effort to ensure financial stability for the families of employees who lost their lives during duty or off-duty accidents, or in cases of physical disability, KSRTC has introduced two insurance schemes:
Rs. 50 Lakhs Personnel Accident Insurance Scheme: In partnership with United India Insurance Company.
Rs. 50 Lakhs Corporate Salary Package Scheme: In collaboration with the State Bank of India.
These schemes are designed to provide comprehensive coverage and support during challenging times for the affected families.
After the implementation of the scheme, unfortunately, 17 employees have lost their lives in on-duty or off-duty accidents.
Details of today’s Deceased Dependents insurance relief compensation distribution:

Sri. B M Puttuswamy, Driver Token No. 1272, Vijayanagar Depot, Mysore Division: Lost his life on 25/01/2023 in a private two-wheeler accident with a car. He dedicated 26 years of service to the corporation and is survived by his wife and three children. His dependents will receive Rs. 1 crore as accident relief compensation along with Rs. 18.74 Lakhs encompassing gratuity, PF, leave encashment, employee’s family welfare scheme, DRBF, and group insurance.
Sri. Ashok Kumar, Driver Token No. 5957, Dharmasthala Depot, Puttur Division: Lost his life on 24/05/2023 in a private two-wheeler accident with a car. He served the corporation for 12 years and is survived by his wife and two daughters. His dependents will be compensated with Rs. 1 crore as accident relief along with Rs. 21.01 Lakhs, including gratuity, PF, leave encashment, employee’s family welfare scheme, DRBF, and group insurance.
Sri. Ramesh G, Driver Token No. 4619, Depot-5, Bangalore Central Division: Lost his life on 28/06/2023 while performing duties on an electric vehicle (KA-51-EJ-0538) on the Madikeri-Bangalore route. He served the corporation for 20 years and is survived by his wife and son. His dependents will receive Rs. 1 crore as accident relief compensation along with Rs. 24.81 Lakhs, covering gratuity, PF, leave encashment, employee’s family welfare scheme, DRBF, and group insurance.
