ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: 1924ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 12ರಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ (ರಿ) ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ಗಡಿ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದು, ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಘ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅಪಾರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ. ರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರುನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿತು. ಈ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 8 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪದವೀಧರರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಬಂದು, ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ಗಳು, ವೈದ್ಯರು, ಐಎಎಸ್, ಐಪಿಎಸ್, ಕೆಎಎಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂಘದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸದ್ಯ ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷದ ಜೂನ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ವಸತಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘದ ಸೇವೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿದೆ. 1981ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಎಲ್.ಕೆ.ಜಿ.ಯಿಂದ 10ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 2004ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು, 2007ರಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎ, ಬಿಕಾಂ, ಬಿಬಿಎ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳು ಲಭ್ಯವಿವೆ. 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಕಾನೂನು ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಹಾಗೂ 2024ರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿಕಾಂ–ಎಲ್‌ಎಲ್‌ಬಿ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸುಮಾರು 150 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೇವಾಂಗ ಕಾನೂನು ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಂಘದ ಶಾಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಶುಲ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಊಟ ಹಾಗೂ ವಸತಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂಘವು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಹಾದಾನಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪತಿಯಪ್ಪನವರ ಜಯಂತಿ, ದೇವಾಂಗ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷ ಶ್ರೀ ದೇವಲ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಜಯಂತಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗಾಯತ್ರಿ ಜಯಂತಿ, ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನವಮಿ, ಲಲಿತಾ ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ ಪಠಣ, ಆಯುಧಪೂಜೆ, ಋಗ್ವೋಪಾಕರ್ಮ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಲ್‌ಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪಿಯುಸಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಕ ಪಡೆದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಹಾಯ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸಂಘ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸಿರುವ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅರಮನೆ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿನ ಗಾಯತ್ರಿ ವಿಹಾರ, ಗೇಟ್ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ–4ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅನೇಕ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಆಗಮಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರು, ಲೋಕೋಪಯೋಗಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವರು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಗುಂಡೂರಾವ್, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಧರ್ಮೇಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರಧಾನ್, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಗ್ರಾಹಕ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ್ ಜೋಷಿ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಜವಳಿ ಸಚಿವ ಗಿರಿರಾಜ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉಕ್ಕು ಖಾತೆ ಸಚಿವ ಎಚ್.ಡಿ.ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಿ.ಸಿ.ಮೋಹನ್, ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಡಾ. ಕೆ. ನಾರಾಯಣ, ಶಾಸಕರು ರಿಜ್ವಾನ್ ಹರ್ಷದ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ತಪ್ಪದೇ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಸಂಘದ ನೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಜನತೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ. ರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

Hip stiffness emerges as key factor in chronic lower back pain

Chronic lower back pain, a leading cause of reduced mobility among older adults, is increasingly being linked to problems in the hips rather than the spine alone, medical experts say.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), nearly one in 13 people worldwide experience lower back pain — a figure that represents a 60% rise since 1990. The number is projected to climb to about 843 million by 2050, highlighting the growing public health burden.

Dr. Aravind P.R., Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Aster Whitefield, Bengaluru, points out that nearly half of patients with long-standing back pain show signs of hip dysfunction, including muscle weakness and restricted movement. “Many of these patients report significant relief only after therapy focuses on the hips,” he says. Weak hip muscles or stiff hip joints place additional strain on the spine, often leading to persistent discomfort.

Sedentary lifestyles, prolonged sitting, desk-bound jobs and reduced physical activity weaken the gluteal muscles and tighten hip flexors, Dr. Aravind explains. This imbalance disrupts pelvic alignment and can make routine activities such as walking, bending or climbing stairs painful.

“Back pain is not just a spinal problem,” he notes. “When the hips are weak or tight, the spine compensates. This forces the lower back into unnatural movement patterns, triggering pain that tends to recur.”

Shift towards hip-focused therapy:
Physiotherapists are now placing greater emphasis on hip-strengthening and mobility exercises — including glute bridges, clamshells and hip-flexor stretches — alongside core and spinal training. According to Dr. Aravind, patients often notice improvements in posture, balance and mobility within weeks of beginning targeted hip exercises.

Recent studies indicate that individuals with chronic back and hip pain who underwent hip-focused physiotherapy showed greater improvements in mobility and balance compared to those who received spine-centred treatment alone. Addressing limited hip extension and muscle weakness was also found to enhance walking endurance and reduce back pain symptoms.

Why hips matter in recovery:
Experts underline the crucial role of the hips in supporting healthy spinal movement. When hip function is compromised, the pelvis may tilt forward or sideways, increasing strain on the lumbar spine. This can weaken core muscle activation, disrupt gait and lead to compensatory spinal movements that cause inflammation and long-term pain.
Dr. Aravind observes that a combined approach — strengthening the hips, stabilising the core and improving spinal mobility — often brings lasting relief.

Steps to manage lower back pain:
Physiotherapists recommend that people experiencing recurrent lower back pain consider:
Undergoing a hip mobility and gait assessment
Strengthening the gluteal muscles
Reducing prolonged sitting with regular movement breaks
Practising hip-flexor stretches and pelvic stability exercises
Integrating hip training with core strengthening rather than focusing only on the spine

As the prevalence of chronic back pain continues to rise globally, specialists believe hip-focused therapy may play a central role in future treatment strategies.

“We can no longer treat the spine in isolation,” Dr. Aravind says. “When the hips are addressed, the back finally begins to heal.”

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಡಿ.23: ಬ್ಯಾಟರಾಯನಪುರ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಕೋಗಿಲು ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಜಿಬಿಎ) ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಂದ ಮನೆ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ 400ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಭೂಮಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಸತಿ ಹಕ್ಕು ವಂಚಿತರ ಹೋರಾಟ ಸಮಿತಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದೆ.

ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸಮತಳ ಅವರು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಉತ್ತರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಯಲಹಂಕ ಹೋಬಳಿಯ ಕೋಗಿಲು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸರ್ವೇ ನಂಬರ್ 99ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಲಿತರು, ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ವಸತಿ ರಹಿತ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು 25–30 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದವು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜೂರಿಗಾಗಿ 94ಸಿ ಕಲಂ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಹಕ್ಕುಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಹಕ್ಕುಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಮುಂಚಿತ ನೋಟಿಸ್ ನೀಡದೇ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ತೆರವು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬಡ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಕೂಲಿ ಕೆಲಸದಿಂದ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆಹಾರ, ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗೃಹೋಪಯೋಗಿ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕೂಡ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡದೇ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಧ್ವಂಸ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಕಂದಾಯ ಸಚಿವರ ಸ್ವಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಇಂತಹ ಅಮಾನವೀಯ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿರುವುದು ದುಃಖಕರ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ತೆರವು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಿಂದ ವಸತಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ವಾಸಯೋಗ್ಯ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಶೆಡ್‌ಗಳು, ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ತಿಂಗಳು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಆಹಾರ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇ ಪೂರೈಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಮಿತಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದೆ.

Cosplay, global creators, gaming arenas and immersive experiences underline city’s growing stature as a pop-culture hotspot

Bengaluru Comic Con, presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, wrapped up a vibrant two-day celebration of pop culture at KTPO, Whitefield, drawing an impressive footfall of over 50,000 visitors. Packed halls, buzzing panels and an exuberant cosplay turnout once again reinforced Bengaluru’s reputation as one of India’s most engaged pop-culture communities.

The convention floor remained alive with back-to-back panel discussions, creator-led conversations, anime quizzes, interactive games and storytelling sessions, offering fans deeper insights into illustration, writing and world-building. A major crowd-puller was cosplay, with more than 500 participants transforming the venue into a spectacle of anime, gaming and pop-culture icons. The Bengaluru Qualifier of the Indian Championship of Cosplay saw a cosplayer dressed as Rafa, the Exo Soldier from Borderlands 4, clinch the top prize of ₹50,000.

International guests added to the buzz, with actor Robert Capron of Diary of a Wimpy Kid fame, celebrated comic book artist Peter Nguyen, and French-Australian actor and voice artist Chloé Hollings engaging closely with fans through panels and meet-and-greets. The event also showcased over 20 Indian creators, including Savio Mascarenhas, Sumit Kumar, Faisal Mohammed and Bengaluru-based illustrator Prasad Bhat, who interacted with long-time readers and new fans alike.

Gaming emerged as another strong pillar, with popular Indian gaming creators such as Techno Gamerz, Triggered Insaan, Payal Gaming, Mythpat and Jonathan drawing enthusiastic crowds. Multiple experience zones by Maruti Suzuki Arena, Crunchyroll, Audible and Amazon Prime Video — including a Fallout-themed immersive zone — kept attendees engaged, alongside the NODWIN Gaming Arena featuring BGMI PAN Fest, PlayStation and Samsung gaming stations.

Live music performances, beatboxing acts and stand-up comedy sets by Kumar Varun and Sahil Shah ensured energy levels stayed high through the weekend. From families and first-time visitors to hardcore fans, the convention saw people across age groups bonding over shared fandoms.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೆಲಸದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಶೋಷಣೆ, ಹಣ ವಂಚನೆ, ಜೀವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪ್ರಾಪ್ತ ಬಾಲಕಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಸೋಲದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವನ್ನು ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನತದೃಷ್ಟ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಶೇಕಮ್ಮ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶೇಕಮ್ಮ, ತಾನು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎ.ಕೆ.ಎನ್. ಫಾರಂನ ಮಾಲೀಕ ಅನಂತಕುಮಾರ್ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುವುದಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಸಿ ದೈಹಿಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಬೆಳೆಸಿ, ಅದರ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ದುಡಿಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಂಬಳ ನೀಡದೆ ಮೂರು ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪಡೆದು ವಂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ದೂರು ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ದಿನಾಂಕ 12-12-2025ರಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು, ಅನಂತಕುಮಾರ್ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಸೋಲದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಎ.ಎಸ್.ಐ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಮೂರ್ತಿ ತನ್ನ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು, ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳನ್ನು ಡಿಲಿಟ್ ಮಾಡಿ, ಊರು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಶೇಕಮ್ಮ ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ, ದಿನಾಂಕ 16-12-2025ರಂದು ಅನಂತಕುಮಾರ್ ತನ್ನ 9 ವರ್ಷದ ಅಪ್ರಾಪ್ತ ಮಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಎಸಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ದೂರು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಉಪ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಪರಾಧ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 0476/2025ರಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಆದರೆ ನಂತರ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿ, ಠಾಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರಘು ಅವರು ಬಾಲಕಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ, ಆರೋಪಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿ, ಬೆದರಿಸಿ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಾಲಕಿ ಸತ್ಯ ಹೇಳಲು ಮುಂದಾದಾಗ ತಾಯಿ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ಹೆದರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪವೂ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಠಾಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರಘು ಅವರು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಸಭ್ಯ ಪದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿ, ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಉಗುಳಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಹಿಂಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಶೇಕಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಿಂದ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ದಿನಾಂಕ 18-12-2025ರಂದು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಖಾಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾಗದಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಪಡೆದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿದರು.

ಪೊಲೀಸರೇ ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಬಡವರಾದ ನಮಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತ ಉನ್ನತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕು. ತನಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಅಪ್ರಾಪ್ತ ಮಗುವಿಗೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಶೇಕಮ್ಮ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಈ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪಗಳು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾರ್ಥಕ ಚಿಹ್ನೆ ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮಹಿಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಲಕಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಾಗರಿಕ ವಲಯಗಳು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿವೆ.
