ಇಡೀ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ , ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾರ್ಮಸಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮತ್ತು ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಿರುವ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರ ನ್ಯೂನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ . 01 ) ನೀಟ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ರದ್ದು ಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು 02 ) ಮೊದಲು ಸಿ.ಇ.ಟಿ ಇತ್ತು ಇದರ ಮುಂದುವರೆದ ಭಾಗ ಅಂದರೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿ.ಎಂ.ಟಿ ಪ್ರೀ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಇತ್ತು ಅದರ ಮುಂದುವರೆದ ಭಾಗವನ್ನೇ ನೀಟ್ ಆಗಿದೆ . ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಬರೀ ಹೊರ ರಾಜ್ಯದವರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ . ನೀಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರದ್ದು ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ . 03 ) ಡೆಂಟಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಸೀಟ್‌ಗಳು 2 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಖಾಲಿ ಇವೆ . 04 ) ಏಕೈಕ ಇರುವಂತ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಫಾರ್ಮಸಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರ ಹುದ್ದೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಆಯೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು Ineligible ಆದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ಔಷದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಎರಡೂ ಸಲ ಡಿ.ಪಿ.ಸಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸೂಕ್ತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪ ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಮತ್ತು ಕೆ.ಎ.ಟಿ ಆದೇಶ ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . 05 ) ಡಿ ಪಾರ್ಮಸಿ ಬೋರ್ಡ ನಿಂದ ನಿಗದಿತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ನಡೆದರೂ 6 ಮತ್ತು 7 ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ . 02 ) ಪಾರ್ಮಸಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು 9 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ 12 ಗಂಟೆಯಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿಗದಿತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರವಾನಿಸಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ 5 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ . 06 ) ಆಯುಷ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 10-15 ವರ್ಷ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು 2-3 ತಿಂಗಳಾದರೂ ಸಹ ಜಿ.ಒ ಮಾಡಲಿಕೆ ಅಡಚಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ . 07 ) ಬಿಹೆಚ್ಎಂಎಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಯುಎಂಎಸ್ ಪರಿಸ್ತಿತಿಯೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಇದೆ . 08 ) ನರ್ಸಿಂಗೆ ಕೆ.ಇ ಯಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪೀ 6200 ರೂ ಇದೆ ಆದರೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು 25000 ದಿಂದ 75000 ರೂವರೆಗೆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ . ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಈ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು . 09 ) ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಷನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಬಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೋಗುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾಗಿದ್ದು , ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮದ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕೆ.ಇ.ಎ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ ಅನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು . 10 ) ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಬಿ.ಎಸ್ ಮುಗಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಪಿ.ಜಿ ಸೀಟ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ DErmotology , Radiology , Artho , OBG ಈ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದಂತಹ ಪಿ ಜಿ ಸೀಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಕೋಟಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಪಿ.ಜಿ ಆದಂತಹ ಅನಸ್ಥಿತೀಯ ಮೈಕ್ರೋಬಯಾಲಜಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕೋಟಾ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಮೇಲಿನ ಸೀಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋಟಿಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಂತಹ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾನುತ್ತಿದೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತಹ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದಂತಹ ಡಾ . ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ರವರು , ಮಾನ್ಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರದ ಜಾಲವೇ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ . 11 ) ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮಾಜಿ ಸ್ಪೀಕರ್ ಮಾಜಿ ಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾದಂತಹ ರಮೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರು ಮತ್ತು ಶರಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ರವರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತಹ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ಕೊಡುವುದಾಗಿರಬಹುದು ಅಥವಾ ಈ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತಹ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಗರಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಈ ಇಲಾಖೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು . ಆದರೆ ಈಗಿರುವಂತಹ ಸಚಿವರು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಕೋಟಿ ಹಗರಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ . 12 ) ಉದಾಹರಣಗೆ ದಿವ್ಯ ಹಾಗರಗಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ ಮೆಂಬರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಣ ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಒಂದು ತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ಹೀಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಹಗರಣಗಳು ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿವೆ . ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಡೀ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉಗ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ,

FPA India is a national voluntary organisationSince 2004 FPA India (FPAI) has been working with LGBT individuals and their partners to address their sexual and reproductive health needs, including concerns around HIV. FPAI has also worked closely with male sex workers and transgender groups- mobilizing them to form CBOS and advocating for their rights. The stigma-free services provided by FPAI have been widely accepted by the community and they continue to access services from all its static as well as outreach clinics.

Our recent work with LGBT communities included awareness sessions, health check-up camps, and joint events such as observation of days held at different FPA India branches. In 2020, nearly 17950 transgender people obtained services from FPAI. The number of queer people obtained services other than those who identified as ‘other gender’ etc is very difficult to estimate, as a policy, FPA India do not request the clients to disclose their sexual orientation and gender identity.

FPA India Bengaluru Branch has been awarded with the project titled MOVEMENT ACCELERATOR PROJECT by HQs.

The project focus on working with Lesbians, Transman and Bisexual Women and Queer community to understand their issues/ needs and give them a platform to voice their concerns and visibility through social media/online platforms.

Lesbian and bisexual women are part of a diverse community with various health concerns. While all women have specific health risks, lesbian, bisexual women and Transman ( L,B,T) are at a higher risk for certain diseases than other women. The health concerns and violence faced by Lesbian, Bisexual ,Transman are absent in scientific literature hence there are lack of evidence to show the problems /issues faced by this community.

Deliverable under this project are :

• Create a safe space for LT commundiios to assess friendly services like SRH and counselling. Service provider will also addrons lesbian, Bioexual, Trans men issues through specialised counselling. • And develop online/ social media plast forn and viulbty and support.

FPA India is an SRH organisation, the identity of any clients in respect to their sexual orientation is not identified when they visit the clinic. All information and identities, case papers are kept safely and not shared with anyone. The services providers will be capacitated to deal with Lesbian/bisexual issues sensitively. Referral support will be developed keeping in mind the sexual orientation of the clients and online, digital help will be made available whenever required keeping in mind the safety of the client.

We have created space for LBT Communities. We urge that LBT communities to make use of this space and participate to know more.

National, 12th May 2022: Viacom18’s digital offering, Voot Select has established itself as one of the fastest-growing streaming platforms in India that backs distinct stories with its robust repertoire. In a bid to expand its regional content offering, the platform braces for the exclusive premiere of the Kannada series ‘Honeymoon’. Ahead of the romantic drama’s release on Voot Select, the trailer of the series was unveiled in a press launch event held in Bangalore!

Produced by Shiva Rajkumar and written by Nagabhushana, the six-episodic series, headlined by Nagabhushana and Sanjana Anand, also boasts of Pawan Kumar, Apoorva Bharadwaj, Anand Ninasam and Archana Kotige in supporting roles.

The plot of Honeymoon follows the events that unfold after a newlywed couple, Praveen (played by Nagabhushana) and Tejaswini (played by Sanjana Anand), jet off to Kerala for their honeymoon after tying the knot in an arranged marriage. With an unconventional marriage of a timid man and an outspoken dominant woman, the story of this romantic drama focuses on Praveen and Tejaswini’s unforgettable honeymoon rife with major ups and downs.

Shiva Rajkumar commented, “There are so many good Kannada stories waiting to be told and so many storytellers waiting to be recognized. The story of Honeymoon excited me and since my daughter was also involved in this project, I went ahead and provided my full support. Am happy that Voot has been focusing on quality regional content and am sure this show will entertain audiences across all age groups alike.”

Sharing some details about his character in Honeymoon, Nagabhushana said, “Comedy is my strength. During my initial days, I used to create digital content on my YouTube channel called KEB. This helped me bag Honeymoon. We had many memorable moments during the shoot. I hurt myself and completed the entire Kerala shooting schedule with stitches. Am extremely ugly photograph showing me with stitches appeared in the local newspaper, saying Kannada actor who came here for shooting, hurt himself. Although, at that time, it was a serious situation, we still have a good laugh when we look back at that photo today.”

Sanjana Anand continued, “Getting under the skin of Tejaswini was quite exciting. She likes living life on her terms. Her character in Honeymoon is very dominant, the one who does not shy away from voicing her opinion on every possible thing. Her highly opinionated nature makes it difficult for her to adjust to an arranged marriage setup, which is the situation in most of the Indian households. The honeymoon phase plays very different roles in arranged marriages and love marriages. Our show has portrayed the need for this private time in arranged marriages very meaningfully.”

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Organizes 1st Ever Innovation Incubator Hackathon 2022

The one-week Artificial Intelligence Hackathon was organized in partnership with Innovation Incubator group of companies, headquartered at New York USA
Students participated in the hackathon to solve real AI problems in Healthcare, Real estate, Agriculture, Fashion, and Automotive sectors.

Bengaluru, May 12 2022: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in partnership with Innovation Incubator, recently organized first ever Artificial Intelligence Hackathon in its Bengaluru campus from more than 14 teams comprising of 60 students in the Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Engineering, M.Tech. and MBA.

The one-week Artificial Intelligence Hackathon was won by Team Geekolution, led by Anwar Nadaf, Bhushan Jawre, Sushmitha R, E.Vaan Amuthu and Vishvesh Pathak. The team focused on healthcare doctor note summarization. The team was given with a dataset of patient notes generated by various doctors and the notes need to be converted into proper patient summary files according to the format specified by the client. The team developed the solution using advanced AI and ML techniques and the judging team appreciated their effort for optimizing the solution.

Students participated in the hackathon to solve real AI problems in Healthcare, Real estate, Agriculture, Fashion, and Automotive sectors. They were guided by Innovation Incubator AI, tech and industry experts during the hackathon. Innovation Incubator group of companies, headquartered at New York USA with employees in various states of USA and India, offers the AI entrepreneurs launch pad.

Dr. Sriram Devanathan, Principal of Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru expressed “A common lament of current times is the industry-academic gap. Hackathons have proven to be an effective way of bridging this gap, while at the same time offering excitement, learning, and upskilling all at the same time. This has also become a great way for the industry to identify talent directly and closely suited to their needs. I am sure that the current hackathon event will prove to be of immense value simultaneously to our students, to Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, and to IIC.”
