LaLiga Lights Up Bengaluru with ‘Five Years in India’ Celebrations

Bengaluru, 26 February 2022 – LaLiga, the Spanish top-tier football league, is celebrating ‘Five Years in India’ for the opening of the Indian office in 2017. The milestone moment was marked with the first edition of ‘LaLiga Extra Time India’ and an upcoming fan screening for the highly anticipated Sevilla Derby, also known as the ‘El Gran Derbi’ (Sevilla FC v Real Betis) fixture.

The first edition of ‘LaLiga Extra Time India’ was held on 25th February 2022 and saw attendance from spokespeople from some of LaLiga’s key partners in the country like – Mr. Amit Prabhu, Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer, PUMA India, Arushi Awasthi, Director – Brand Communications, Hero Vired and Sai Krishna Pulluru, Director, Anantapur Sports Academy. The event involved a panel discussion on the work LaLiga does with its partners in the country, the impact of joint initiatives and plans for the coming years for this country.

The El Gran Derbi Watch Party, which will be held on 27th February 2022, will be among the first public fan viewings LaLiga has held since the onset of the pandemic. Organised keeping all safety protocols at the forefront, it will involve engagement activities like contests and games for the 100+ fans who will earn their spot by participating in digital contests on LaLiga’s social media handles, also on LaLiga’s broadcaster MTV and Voot Select’s social media platforms. Along with these fans, LaLiga’s sponsors and key partners will also be a part of the watch party.

Bengaluru, 24 February 2022: OnePlus, the global technology brand, is set to unveil its largest ever OnePlus Experience store globally in Bengaluru, India, today. The all-new store, called the “OnePlus Boulevard” will serve as a landmark venue for its India community to gain global premium user experience, while personally connecting with the brand. The virtual launch today will include an extensive digital tour of the state-of-the-art establishment, giving viewers and the OnePlus community members the valuable opportunity to virtually experience the massive retail space.

After setting the precedent with its landmark OnePlus Nizam Palace Store launch in Hyderabad, the brand is set to create yet another new milestone for its thriving community in the country. Located on the iconic Brigade Road, the store architecture is inclusive of green areas and allows natural light to pour in. This makes the in-store experience like a walk in a park, while serving as a boulevard of OnePlus technology offerings.

The distinctively designed store uses a five-sense omni-directional design approach. The design concept is aimed towards providing customers with a holistic, premium offline experience to interact closely with the brand’s offerings. Nanjangud MLA B Harshavardhan has requested the government to provide a budgetary allocation of Rs 30 crore for the  proposed lift  irrigation project near Yediyala in Nanjangud taluk.

Bengaluru/Nanjangud : A request to this effect has been submitted to Water Resources Minister Govind Karjol by Harshavardhan. The minister has assured to look into the appeal.

The lift irrigation project would help in filling 12 dried-up tanks in the taluk. This would cater to the requirements of 20 villages. The groundwater level has depleted significantly in these villages. Hence, refilling the tanks by lifting water from the Nugu river basin would help in recharging groundwater. The plan was conceived way back in 2016-17 when V Srinivas Prasad was the minister. However, the project has not taken off due to lack of funds, he added. The work can be completed in about nine months if the required funds are available, he added.

The MLA has also said that funds are required to build a barrier wall for the Sri Sadhguru Mahadeva Thatayya’s Gadduge near Sangama in his constituency. The MLA, while seeking the funds for this, has explained to the minister that due to the heavy rains in the last three years, some of the bridges on the river Nugu have become weak. Besides, some of the bridges have to be upgraded. The Gadduge of Thatayya is located at the confluence of river Kabini and Nugu.

The Sangama has been a witness to heavy floods in the last three years, he pointed out and explained the reasons for constructing a barrier wall near the Gadduge.

Mirchi and the Bangalore Traffic Police join hands to distribute helmets across the city

Bangalore 23rd, February, 2022: Mirchi, India’s No. 1 music and entertainment company has always spearheaded key initiatives for the wellbeing of their listeners. This February, Mirchi 98.3 collaborated with the traffic police in Bangalore to launch their initiative ‘Helmet Idu, Tale Irorige Maatra’, wherein the brand distributed over 500 helmets to riders across the city.

In line with recent reports on the increasing two-wheeler road accidents in the city, Mirchi launches this initiative to promote the usage of helmets across the city. Through the activity, Mirchi not only aims to aid more riders with a safe travel, but also create awareness about the importance of meeting ISI safety standards as per the protocol set by the Bengaluru Traffic Police.
The initiative ‘Helmet Idu, Tale Irorige Maatra’ was rolled out across multiple platforms including radio and digital. While the Bangalore Traffic Police provided support with distributing the helmets at traffic signals across the city, Mirchi used the power of radio to create awareness about the initiative and educate their listeners about the importance of abiding by the road safety protocols. With the help of professional riders like Gowtham Naidu, Swathi R and Srigandh to name a few, and with the support of popular influencers like Sneha Shenoy, Sandeep Gowda, Vinay Bharadwaj, Vaishnavi Gowda, Rishi and Bhoomi Shetty, Mirchi successfully created a large impact on riders across the city.
