‘It’s A Girl Thing’ attracts Speakers from across the Globe for India debut

India, October 2020 : Building on the success in Singapore and the Philippines and taking it to the next exciting stop on it’s global journey, It’s A Girl Thing India is all set to host a roster of international artists and mentors well suited to entertain and inspire an anticipated audience of millions of young women. Brought to India for the first time by Zee Live in partnership with internationally renowned events company Branded, the three-day virtual festival aims to empower, inspire and connect young women.

Successful Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery By Meitra Hospital

Meitra Hospital successfully replaces heart valve without surgery

Kozhikode : Kozhikode based Meitra Hospital’s team of highly qualified cardiologists at the Centre for Heart and Vascular Care has once again set a new benchmark for the state of Kerala, when they successfully performed the Transcatheter Mitral Valve Implantation on a sixty-six years old man, the first of its kind in the state. The procedure is currently being conducted only at a handful of hospitals across the country.
The patient, who had a previous record of having undergone a prosthetic mitral valve replacement (MVR) in 2008, presented with recurrent heart failure on account of valve dysfunction; the blood flow instead of moving forward into the arteries flowed back into the chambers of the heart thereby risking his life immensely. The procedure lasted nearly three hours and was completed successfully without any complications by the team led by Dr. Asishkumar Mandalay, Chairman of the Cardiology Department. Apart from Dr. Asishkumar, other members in the team were Dr. Sajid Yoonus, Dr. Anees Thajudheen, Dr. Shreetal Rajan Nair and Dr. Smera.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅಕ್ಟೊಬರ್‌ 11, 2020: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ದಿವಂಗತ ಅನಂತಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅವರ ಒತ್ತಾಸೆಯ ಹಸಿರು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸತತ 250 ನೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಸಿರುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮುಖಸ್ಥೆ ಡಾ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿನಿ ಅನಂತಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಐಐಎಸ್‌ಸ್ಸಿ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ 250 ನೇ ಹಸಿರು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಅನಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಹಸಿರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು 1:1 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ 250 ನೇ ವಾರವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದೆ. 2015, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್‌ 22 ರಂದು ಅನಂತಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅವರ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿನದಂದು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಸತತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

100 ನೇ ಹಸಿರು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ, ದೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 140 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡೆ ಹಸಿರು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಐಐಎಸ್‌ಸ್ಸಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯಂತೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಉಸಿರಾಡಲು 7 ಮರಗಳ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದೆ. ಈಗ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 7 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಒಂದರಂತೆ ಮರಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇದೆ. 30 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 25 ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರಿದ್ದು 25 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮರಗಳಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮರದಂತೆ ಗಿಡ ನೆಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಸಿರು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಗಿಡ ನೆಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿ 250 ಭಾನುವಾರ ಗಳಿಂದ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಾಗಿದೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವುದಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಪೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು. ಎರಡು ಭಾನುವಾರಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ನೆಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಗಿಡಗಳ ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಪೊಷಕಾಂಶಗಳ ಪೂರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಾಯಚೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಇತರೆ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಹಸಿರು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಕ್ಕಿ ತೊಳೆದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್‌ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವುಗಳ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ತಾರಸಿ ತೋಟ, ಶೂನ್ಯ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳು ಜನಜನಿತವಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಇಚ್ಚೆ ಇಂದ ಬಂದು ಮಾಡುವಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಜನಾಂದೋಲನವಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
