Government to address demands of doctors: Dr K SudhakarMinister requests doctors to withdraw strike

Bengaluru, 15 September 2020:
Hon’ble Minister for Medical Education Dr K. Sudhakar requested the doctors to withdraw the agitation as the government has conceded to their demand of salary hike despite the grim economic conditions.

Speaking to media persons after attending a meeting with office-bearers of the Karnataka Government Medical Officers’ Association on Tuesday, the Minister informed that was a fruitful talk, and the government has decided to give in to the demand to uplift the hardworking doctors. The doctors have been working hard day in and out, and in this light, the Chief Minister has given a nod to all the proposals by the Health Department in the past six months and this too will be fulfilled. The demand will be addressed and the Finance department has been briefed in this regard, he added.

The revision in the salaries will be made based on six-year, 13-year, and 20-year promotions for the doctors and details on the same will be obtained from the medical officers, he added. Even though this is a burden for the government to bear, it will be addressed on priority, the Minister said.

Health Minister Sriramulu, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Ashwath Narayan, and office bearers of the Karnataka Government Medical Officers’ Association were present.

CMRIT student beats gloom and lands in plum job

In virtual campus recruitment, CMRIT places 450 students+ in various companies with mentored special programmes

Even as the job market is contracting because of the pandemic and economic slowdown, CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) successfully placed over 450 students in various companies through virtual campus recruitment programme. Most successful among them was M.Tech student Ashutosh Bhatte, who convinced his interviewers to secure a job in Synechron Technologies for an annual pay package of Rs 22 lakhs, the highest offer made.

Students of the academic batch 2019-2020 were placed in top multinational companies like TCS, Infosys, LTI, Capgemini, Amazon, VMware, SAP Labs, MScripts, Eurofins and Deloitte. Special mentoring programmes, mock interviews, entrepreneurship training and research skill training imparted by CMRIT enabled the students to successfully get hired.

Ashutosh completed his Computer Science degree in August, 2020 with a thesis titled “Hand Gesture Recognition for Software Deployment”. Gesture recognition has plenty of applications as technology progresses towards a new generation of human-computer interaction and visual input mode. It has a major role in virtual environment control, sign language translation, robot remote control or music creation.

ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶನಿವಾರ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಬಳಿಕ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು,
ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಎನ್ನೋದು ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಟ್ಯಾಗ್ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಅದೇನು ಐಡಿನಾ? ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜಾತಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಐಡಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾ? ಡ್ರಗ್ ದಂಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರು ಯಾವ ಜನಾಂಗ, ಜಾತಿಯವರೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರೇ ಇರಲಿ, ಬಡವರೇ ಇರಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಾತೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾತ್ಯಾತೀತವಾಗಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರಕಾರ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಡ್ರಗ್‌ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ‌ ಸರಕಾರ ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿ, ಹಿಂದಿನ ಸರಕಾರ ಡ್ರಗ್ ಮಾಫಿಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಏಕೆ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.
ನಮ್ಮ ಸರಕಾರ ಡ್ರಗ್ ದಂಧೆಯನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಯಾರೇ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಮುಲಾಜಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಗೃಹಸಚಿವರು ದೊಟ್ಟ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಡ್ರಗ್ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾನೂನು;
ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳ ಡ್ರಗ್‌ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಕಾನೂನು ತಂದು, ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಇದರಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಯುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡದೇ ಹೋದರೆ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಯ್ಥ ಹಾಳಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಡ್ರಗ್ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಲಘುವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಎಂದೆನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಪ್ರಕರಣ.
ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವರಿಷ್ಠಾಧಿಕಾರಿ‌ ನೇತೃದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗಡಿ ಭಾಗದ 20 ಕಡೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿ 20 ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ 60 ಕೆಜಿ ಗಾಂಜಾ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಮಾಫಿಯಾ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ತನಿಖೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಯಾರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ,

ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರೇ ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಡಿ:
ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಬುಡಸಮೇತವಾಗಿ ಕಿತ್ತು ಹಾಕಲು ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಯಾರೂ ಇದರಿಂದ ನುಣುಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬೇಡಿ. ಹಾಗೇ, ನೀವು ಯಾರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದರು.

Hon’ble Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar asked if being a minority is a tag for protection or an id card, reacting to Congress legislator Zameer Ahmed Khan statement. The legislator had alleged that he is being targeted for being from a minority community, and a Muslim.

Speaking to media persons after attending a Teachers’ Day celebration at Chikkaballapura, he said the BJP government will secularly take actions against whoever is found guilty in the drug probe despite their financial status, community or religion.

Responding to Congress leader Siddaramaiah’s statement that the BJP Government is misusing drug probe, he questioned that why didn’t the previous Government take action against drug mafia. He stated that the government will take action no matter how powerful the people are and said that Chief Minister and the Home Minister have taken important steps towards the same.

Minister Dr Sudhakar requested Siddaramaiah to cooperate with the Government to put an end to the drug mafia in the state and said the leader must not protect anyone or let anyone to escape from the government’s probe.

The Minister said that to protect the youth from the drug absue, strict regulations must be introduced in the state. The society will be affected if the youth are not protected and led in the right direction, he added. Taking a jibe at Confess, he said perhaps the Congress party has taken the drug probe lightly.

Dr Sudhakar said that awareness is being raised regarding drug abuse in Chikkaballapura district.As many as 20 areas near the district border were raised where 20 people were arrested and 60-kg marijuana was seized. A detailed probe is being conducted in this regard, he added.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರವು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂತಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಜತೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರದ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಾ. ಸಿ,ಎನ್.‌ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅದರಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಜತೆ ಗುರುವಾರ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಈಡೇರಿಕೆಯ ಸಾಧಕಬಾಧಕವನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶುಸಂಗೋಪನಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆದಷ್ಟು ಇವೆರಡೂ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಸಚಿವರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜತೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಚಿತ್ರನಗರಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು, ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಕೆ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು, ಡಿಐ-ವಿಎಫ್‌ಕ್ಸ್‌ ಉದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಶುಲ್ಕ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿ, ಸಿನಿಮಾ ತೆರಿಗೆ, ಸಕಾಲ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ಜಿಎಸ್‌ಟಿ ವಾಪಸ್‌ ನೀಡಿವುದು, ಫೈರಸಿ ನಿಗ್ರಹ, ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿಯನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸುವುದು, ನೂತನ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನೀತಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದು, ಲಾಕ್‌ಡೌನ್‌ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಥಿಯೇಟರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿ, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಮನ್ನಾ, ಸಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸಬ್ಸಿಡಿ ನೀಡಿಕೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಗಣುರು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರು ಕೂಲಂಕಶವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಗಳಂತೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪೂರಕ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಅತೀವ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸೈಬರ್‌ ಸೆಕ್ಯೂರಿಟಿ:

ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳ ಪೈರಸಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಆತಂಕವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕಾರ ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸೈಬರ್‌ ಸೆಕ್ಯೂರಿಟಿ ಖಾತ್ರಿ ಕೊಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಗಂತುಕರು ಪೈರಸಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹೊಡೆತ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಚರಮಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸೈಬರ್‌ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜತೆ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ನಿಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
