India to hit peak of 2.6 lakh active cases on July 15

~ Maharashtra is projected to hit its peak of 82,723 active cases according to the most likely model on July 5 and 1.1 lakh active cases as per the SEIR model, on July 17~
~Delhi is projected to hit its peak of 47,461 active cases according to the most likely model and 47,159 active cases as per the SEIR model both on July 4~

Mumbai, June 22, 2020: Tracking the coronavirus pandemic in India for the past several weeks, Times Fact-India Outbreak Report, has released its July projections of the COVID-19 pandemic at both national and state levels.
Led by insights and efficacy, the report has achieved an accuracy rate of 96% for active cases, with an overall prediction level of 92% plus for its previous projections. As per the latest projections, India will hit a peak of 2.6 lakh active cases on July 15, according to the most likely scenario, and a peak of 3.9 lakh cases on July 25 as per the SEIR model.
Times Fact-India Outbreak Report: Key takeaways for July

India is projected to hit its peak of 2,59,967 active cases according to the most likely model on July 15 and 3,86,916 active cases as per the SEIR model on July 25.
Maharashtra, which is the worst-hit state, is projected to hit its peak of 82,723 active cases according to the most likely model on July 5 and 1.1 lakh active cases as per the SEIR model, on July 17.
Tamil Nadu is projected to hit its peak of 30,247 active cases according to the most likely model on July 5 and 32,909 active cases as per the SEIR model on July 6.
Delhi is projected to hit its peak of 47,461 active cases according to the most likely model and 47,159 active cases as per the SEIR model both on July 4.

Methodology: Parsed by reputed data scientists and quantitative experts, Times Fact India Outbreak Report is a joint endeavour by Times Network and data research firm Protiviti. a. Revenue from Operations for the quarter ended 31st March 2020 was Rs. 1354.8 crores as against Rs. 1472.1 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

b. EBIDTA (excluding other Income) for the quarter ended 31^st March,2020 was Rs. 208.4 crores as against Rs. 225.6 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

c. Net Profit for quarter ended 31^st March 2020 was Rs. 103.2 crores as against Rs. 110.4 crores in the corresponding quarter of last year.

Highlights of the Standalone Quarterly Results:

a. Revenue from Operations for the quarter ended 31^st March 2020 was Rs.1174.9 crores as against Rs. 1352.7 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

b. EBIDTA (excluding other Income) for the quarter ended, 31^st March 2020 was Rs. 190.9 crores as against Rs. 216.5 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

b. EBIDTA (excluding Other Income) for the year ended 31^st March 2020 was Rs. 1061.0 crores as against Rs. 935.5 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last year, representing an increase of 13.4% over the corresponding period of last year.

c. Net Profit for year ended 31^st March 2020 was Rs. 656.1 crores as against Rs. 493.89 crores in the corresponding year, representing an increase of 32.8%.

Highlights of the Standalone Yearly Results:

a. Revenue from Operations for the year ended 31^st March 2020 was Rs. 5691.7 crores as against Rs. 5515.5 crores in the corresponding year, representing an increase of 3.2%.

b. EBIDTA (excluding Other Income) for the year ended, 31^st March 2020 was Rs. 957.8 crores as against Rs. 862.6 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last year, representing an increase of 11.0% over the corresponding period of last year

c. Net Profit for the year ended 31st March 2020 was Rs. 699.1 crores as against Rs. 435.8 crores in the corresponding year, representing an increase of 60.4%. The net profit for the year ended 31^st March 2020 included Rs. 100.1 crores as other income from dividend

The Board of Directors have recommended a final dividend of Re. 0.30 (30%) per equity share of Re. 1/- each for the financial year ended March 31, 2020. Together with the interim dividend of Rs. 1.90 (190%) per equity share paid on 16^th March, 2020, the total dividend for the financial year ended 31^st March, 2020 aggregates to Rs. 2.20 (220%) per equity share of Re. 1/- each. Final dividend is subject to approval of shareholders.

Digital Healthcare Push to Empower 1.3 Billion People with Equal Access

Bengaluru, June 23, 2020: A coalition of over 100 healthcare specialists have come together to launch Swasth, a nationwide telemedicine platform for Corona care, which digitally connects Indians to the best doctors and wellness providers. Swasth is a swift response promoted by the country’s health and technology leaders to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to leverage telemedicine as a national priority in the current stressed times. The mobile app-based service leverages India’s technology prowess to deliver equal and affordable healthcare to 1.3 billion people, cutting across geographical and income divides.

This indigenous digital healthcare system is being launched at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has challenged traditional service providers.

Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, a part of the Swasth Governing Council, said, “Swasth has brought together the best of resources in the country to provide free healthcare to bring quick relief during the crisis. Swasth will work to further public health goals and work in coordination with the Medical Council, public health organizations, and the private sector to expand quality healthcare access to the masses. I firmly believe that this crisis is a great opportunity to re-invent healthcare delivery in India.”

Swasth facilitates seamless, remote interaction between registered medical practitioners and patients through multiple modes of video and telephony. Swasth deploys AI based triaging to determine the care required, culminating in a digitally signed prescription and treatment advice.

Along with the free consultations, Swasth will also provide services like home quarantine assistance, diagnostics, pharmacies, hospital bed discovery and booking assistance at a subsidized cost.

All doctors on the Swasth platform are duly verified and undergo specially designed training programs on tele-consultation and COVID-19 clinical protocols. Swasth is in full compliance with the industry-accepted cybersecurity norms for healthcare platforms. It uses a defense-in-depth approach to ensure that data is securely transmitted, stored, managed and accessed. Currently, the app supports consultation in Hindi, English and Gujarati and will be expanded to 25 Indian languages.

Swasth is the country’s first big push towards mass adoption of digital healthcare as a citizen empowering platform.

Dr Nachiket Mor, a member of the Governing Council, added, “Swasth is a unique non-profit coalition of members from multiple sections of the Indian healthcare ecosystem, including individual doctors, small and large hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharmacies, telemedicine platforms, insurance companies, and healthcare-technology companies, who have joined hands with the goal of creating affordable healthcare for all Indians in every nook and corner of the country, so that they can immediately get the care that they need for this crisis, as well as for all their other healthcare needs. Swasth will do this by making it easy for patients to smoothly access the services they need from its members, and will also enable each of its members to provide a wide range of high quality services to their patients, by giving them access to protocols, technologies, and platforms that are best in class, completely interoperable, and fully compliant with the latest guidelines.”

Dr NK Jairam, a key member of the project team, said, “As we move on with the current Corona pandemic and with social distancing being one of the key remedies to eradicate it, telemedicine is going to be an integral part of the healthcare system. Tele- consultation has been offered by doctors since the early 2000s, however, it has gained rapid momentum because of the current situation. With Swasth, telemedicine will gain a boost which will empower patients to make quick decisions and also teach them self-care.”

Abheek Singhi, Senior Partner at BCG, and member of the project team for this initiative, said, “Swasth is a consortium of 70+ organizations and 200+ volunteers with a common goal of building a comprehensive COVID care platform in the short term and of leveraging technology to transform primary healthcare delivery in the medium term. This is the first time such a coalition like this has come together. BCG is privileged to be partnering with this alliance”

Swasth is created by a not-for-profit consortium of different players across healthcare providers, telehealth platforms, entrepreneurs, technology experts and doctors. Swasth received a grant of INR 10 crore ($1.3 million) from the ACT Grants, an umbrella platform of entrepreneurs and investors backing start-ups fighting the pandemic.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಭಾರತೀಯ ಷೇರು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳು ಇಂದು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಲೋಹ ಮತ್ತು ಫಾರ್ಮಾ ಷೇರುಗಳ ರ್ಯಾಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಇಂಟ್ರಾ-ಡೇ ವಹಿವಾಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇ ಸೆನ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ 479 ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡರೆ ನಿಫ್ಟಿ 50 ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕವು ಇಂಟ್ರಾಡೇ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ 10,386 ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಏಂಜಲ್‌ ಬ್ರೋಕಿಂಗ್‌ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೆಡ್‌ ಅಡ್ವೆಂಸರಿ ಆಮರ್‌ ದಿಯೋ ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ವಹಿವಾಟಿನ ಅಂತ್ಯದ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇ ಸೆನ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ 34,911 ರಷ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಶೇಕಡ 0.52 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಆದರೆ ನಿಫ್ಟಿ 10,311 ಅಥವ 0.65 ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿಶಾಲ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಧ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕಗಳು ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿಸಿದೆ. ಎಸ್ & ಪಿ ಬಿಎಸ್ಇ ಮಿಡ್ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕವು ಶೇಕಡಾ 2 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾದರೆ, ಎಸ್ & ಪಿ ಬಿಎಸ್ಇ ಸ್ಮಾಲ್ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ ಇಂದಿನ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡ 1.4 ರಷ್ಟು ಲಾಭ ಗಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಐಟಿ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕವನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಲಯ ಮಾಪಕಗಳು ಇಂದು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಪಿಎಸ್‌ಯು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕದ ಶೇಕಡಾ 4 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾದರೆ, ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್, ಫಾರ್ಮಾ, ಮೀಡಿಯಾ, ಮೆಟಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕಗಳು ಸಹ ತಲಾ 1.7-2.7 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಷೇರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ಲೆನ್‌ಮಾರ್ಕ್ ಫಾರ್ಮಾಸ್ಯುಟಿಕಲ್ಸ್ ಅಗ್ರ ಸ್ಕೋರರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಆಂಟಿವೈರಲ್ ಔಷಧಿ ಫವಿಪಿರಾವೀರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಂಪನಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ನಂತರ ಅದರ ಸ್ಕ್ರಿಪ್ಟ್ ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ 27 ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗಿ 520 ರೂ. ಸ್ಟಾಕು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ 572,70 ರೂ 52 ವಾರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮುಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ರಿಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್ ಷೇರು ಇಂದಿನ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಈ ಷೇರು ಇಂದು ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿತಾವಧಿಯ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ 1,804.10 ರೂ. ಕಂಪನಿಯು150 ಬಿಲಿಯನ್ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮೊದಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಟಾಕ್ 1,747 ರೂ. ಸರಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ರಮುಖ ತೈಲ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕರ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಕಡಿತದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ತೈಲ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ನೆಲವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿವೆ. ಕರೋನವೈರಸ್ನ ಎರಡನೇ ತರಂಗದ ಚಿಂತೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಇಂದು ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು. ಜಪಾನ್‌ನ ನಿಕ್ಕಿ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕವು ದಿನದ ವಹಿವಾಟನ್ನು ಶೇಕಡ 0.1 ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿಸಿದರೆ ಹಾಂಗ್ ಕಾಂಗ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಹ್ಯಾಂಗ್ ಸೆಂಗ್ ಕೂಡ ಶೇಕಡ 0.5 ರಷ್ಟು ಕುಸಿಯಿತು.
