ಡಾ.ಶಶಿಲೇಖಾ ನಾಯರ್ ಅವರು ಮಿಸೆಸ್ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸ್ 2021 ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದವರು. ಅವರು ಮಾಜಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಇಂಟರ್‌ನ್ಯಾಶನಲ್ ಚಾರ್ಮಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಸೆಸ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕೇರಳ. ಮಿಸೆಸ್ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಫಿಲಿಪೈನ್ಸ್‌ನ ಮನಿಲಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಿತ್ತು ಆದರೆ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಸಂಘಟಕರು ವಿಜೇತರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಡಾ.ಶಶಿಲೇಖಾ ನಾಯರ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಫಿಲಿಪೈನ್ಸ್‌ನ ಮನಿಲಾದಿಂದ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 26 ರಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡಿ ರೂಪ ಐಪಿಎಸ್ ಅವರು ಡಾ. ಶಶಿಲೇಖಾ ನಾಯರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಡಾ. ಶಶಿಲೇಖಾ ನಾಯರ್ ಮೈಕ್ರೋಬಯಾಲಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವೀಧರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವೀಧರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೇಂಟ್ ಮದರ್ ಥೆರೆಸಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯವು ಮಾನವಿಕ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವ ಡಾಕ್ಟರೇಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಉದ್ಯಮಿ, ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ನೃತ್ಯಗಾರ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ತಾಯಿ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಅವರು ಐಟಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದರ ಸಿಇಒ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಸೇಂಟ್ ಮದರ್ ಥೆರೆಸಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಸಂಘದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಮಾಜದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುವ ಕಾರಣಗಳು. 

ಅವರು ದಿ. ಎ.ಪಿ.ಜೆ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವು ಬಡತನದ ಚಕ್ರವನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪೌಷ್ಟಿಕ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವು ಬಡ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಎರಡು ವಿಷಯಗಳು. ಅವರು ಉತ್ಸುಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಕಾರಣವೆಂದರೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸ. ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ನೃತ್ಯಗಾರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಈ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಮನಹರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತನ್ನ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜನರನ್ನು ತಲುಪುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಲು ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಟೈಟಲ್ ಹೋಲ್ಡರ್ ಆಗಿ ಅವರು ಜನಾಂಗ, ಬಣ್ಣ, ಧರ್ಮ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಂಗವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದು. ನಾವು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗ. ನಾವು ಅನೇಕ ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗವು ಜೀವನವು ಎಷ್ಟು ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಆದರೆ ಅದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸವಾಲಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಾವು ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಹೊಸ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿತು. ನಾವು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆಯೋ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಜಯಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವವರಿಗೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಒತ್ತಡ ಮತ್ತು ಆತಂಕದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳು. ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಶಶಿಲೇಖಾ ನಾಯರ್ ನುಡಿದರು.

ಕಳೆದ 50 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಡಾ . ಅಗ್ರವಾಲ್ ಅವರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜುವ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರು ಅಂತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸುವ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು . ಈ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಸಹ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಈಜುವ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸತೀಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಈಜುವ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟವು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಲೋಯಿಸುಯಸ್ ಈಜು ಕೊಳದಲ್ಲಿ 29 ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ , ಜಿಲ್ಲ . ಮತ್ತು ಮಹರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ 700 ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಈಜುವ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 17 ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾಸ್ಟರುಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಅವರ ದಾಖಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ .

ಗ್ಲೆನ್ ಮಾರ್ಕಿನ ಅಕ್ವಟಿಕ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ನಿನ ವಿಲ್ಸನ್ ಗಾರ್ಟನ್ನಿನ ಸೀತಾರಾಶಂ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ರೇ ಸೆಂಟಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಕ್ಟಿಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೋಚ್ ಭೂಷಣ್ ಅವ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 100 ಮೀ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 1 ನಿಮಿಷದ ಟಿಮ್ಮಿಂಗ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸ್ವಂತ ದಾಖಲೆಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . 50 ಮೀ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್ 36 ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

50 ಮೀ ಬಟರ್ ಫೈ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ 42 ಸೆಕೆಂಟುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪದಕ ವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. 50 ಈ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ ಸ್ಟೋಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಿಂದ 43 ಸೆಕೆಂಟುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ .

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು 60 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಈಜುಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ದಾಖಲೆಯು ಹಿಲಿಯ ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ದಾಖಲೆಗೆ ಹೊಂದಣಿಯಗುತ್ತದೆ .

ಮುಂಬರುವ 2022 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನ್‌ಸೈ ಜಪಾನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ದೇಶದಾತ್ಯಂತ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಗಳ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ದಿಸಿ ಜಯಗಳಿಸುವ ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 2021 ರಿಂದ 2022 ಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದೂಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು , 100 ದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ 20,000 ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ 29 ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೊಂದಾಯಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

For the last 50 years DR.AGARWAL has been a South zone and Nationals swim champ with a dream of achieving international medals. This year again she broke her own record in every event at the just held 17th NATIONALS MASTERS SWIMMING COMPETITION held at St. Aloysius Swimming pool in Mangalore by the SWIMMING FEDERATION OF INDIA local organizing team headed by SATISH KUMAR secretary KARNATAKA SWIMMING ORGANIZATION with over 700 participants from the 29 states especially KARNATAKA, DELHI, MAHARASHTRA winning most of the medals.

Under the tutelage of COACH BUSHAN from GLENMARK AQUATIC FOUNDATION practicing at RAY CENTER WILSON GARDEN managed by SITARAM and team.

100mt free style her own record was broken with a timing of 1min 26sec.

50mt free style the win was with 36 sec

50mt Butterfly again a gold medal with 42 sec

50 mt Back stroke saw a beautiful start clocking 43 sec for the record.

All these records are for swimmers above 60 years of age and matches the records on Senior Olympics.

With the coming year 2022 hoping to open borders will be held the WORLD MASTERS GAMES in KANSAI JAPAN . They have already postponed it from 2021 to 2022 , here over 29 sports are registered to take part with over 20000 participants from over 100 countries .

INDIGO AIRLINES took the participants from all over India and Karnataka to attend the NATIONALS and will be ever willing to take them to international shores.

During these troubled times of COVID there are some advantages to be seen in the swimming pool where the virus spread is curtailed as immunity of the swimmers is high . Keeping up with some exercise pattern is one method of keeping viral infections at bay .

NGO Leadership Award 2021 at the National CSR Leadership Congress and Awards

Bengaluru, 09 November, 2021: SOS Children’s Villages of India, the largest self-implementing childcare NGO in the country, has been awarded with the prestigious NGO Leadership Award 2021 at National CSR Leadership Congress and Awards. The award recognizes the NGO’s use of ‘change’ as a strategic tool for sustainable growth.

SOS Children’s Villages of India was honoured at an award ceremony held at Taj Hotel, M.G. Road, Bangalore. About 100 CSR heads, corporate officials and NGO leaders participated in the function. In adherence with COVID-19 prevention norms, there was no handing over of awards. Citations were laid out on a table and winners took their awards and posed for photographs.

“ARTIST for Her,” a Bengaluru-based premier institute has won the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Award.

Bengaluru-based “ARTIST for Her” has won the “Excellence in Capacity Building Award” at the 13th FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards 2021 presented today. The Award was bestowed on the organisation for preparing Covid19 warriors nationwide for maternal and child health care in the Covid and post-Covid era through a digital platform.

Asian Research & Training Institute for Skill Transfer (ARTIST) is a premier institute for learning, research and skill transfer in Bengaluru set up by internationally-renowned gynaecologist Dr. Hema Divakar.

Covid19 compelled organisations to relook at how obstetrics and gynaecological care is delivered. ARTIST collaborated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences (RGUHS) to launch a skill development programme for healthcare providers pan-India on 15 April, 2020 through a digital media training platform. The training was provided across Karnataka, Rajasthan, UP, Jharkhand, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Manipur, and Uttarkhand.

Over 3,600 staff nurses and frontline healthcare providers were trained, building their competency for safe delivery during Covid19 and beyond. This initiative has positively impacted more than 3 lakh pregnant women in more than 450 small and medium-sized maternity homes trained through this initiative. The use of a digital platform for skill transfer improved efficiency and brought the initiative to scale in a cost effective manner, reducing maternal and child morbidity and mortality.

“On behalf of all our champions and master trainers, we are honoured to receive the FICCI Award for Excellence in Capacity Building for ARTIST for Her. We promise to transform the future of women’s healthcare by digital skill transfer. We have an ambitious mission of training one million healthcare providers in the maternal and child health space,” said Dr Hema Divakar, receiving the award in an online ceremony.

The ceremony hosted by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) had Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India officiating as the chief guest, and Mr C K Mishra, former Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, as the guest of honour.
