Inauguration of 2624th Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti Celebrations by Jain Yuva Sanghatane

In commemoration of the 2624th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir, the Jain Yuva Sanghatane is set to organize a grand celebration on April 10, themed around Ahimsa and World Peace. The event will be held at Kundalpur, Gandhinagar, near Freedom Park, Bengaluru.

In presence of Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, D.K. Shivakumar, the Ahimsa and World Peace Convention, with several other dignitaries in attendance, including Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao.

Addressing a press conference, Jain Yuva Sanghatane President Mahaveer Munoth stated that this year’s Kalyan Mahotsav would be observed through a series of impactful social and spiritual initiatives aimed at spreading the teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir. He highlighted the far-reaching influence of Jain philosophy on notable leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Lokmanya Tilak, underscoring the global relevance of the principle “Live and Let Live.”

The celebrations will include various humanitarian activities such as a mega blood donation camp with a target of over 500 units, free eye check-ups, diabetes and blood pressure screenings, and food distribution for the underprivileged.

A significant spiritual highlight of the event will be the Maha Mangalik to be conducted by revered Jain gurus at 1:21 PM.

Several prominent leaders and community representatives are expected to grace the occasion, including Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya, Bengaluru Central MP P.C. Mohan, community leader Rakesh Puniya, former Mayor Gautham Kumar Makan, Sri Adinath Jain Temple (Chickpet) President Gautam Solanki, Jain Conference Karnataka President Prakash Chand Bhurad, Terapanth Sabha President Paras Bhansali, and Karnataka Jain Association President Prasannayya.

The press conference was also attended by Jain Yuva Sanghatane Secretary Neeraj Kataria and Media Coordinator Hitesh Kankalia, along with Chandrashekarayya.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 6: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನವಮಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿಭಾವದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ‘ಸಿಟಿ ಟುಡೇ ನ್ಯೂಸ್’ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ ಜಿ.ಎಸ್. ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಹಾರ್ದಿಕ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಶಾಂತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಏಕತೆಗೆ ನಾಂದಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, “ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಧರ್ಮನಿಷ್ಠ, ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಿಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಿಯ ರಾಜನಾಗಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಇಂದಿನ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೂ ಆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ. ರಾಮನವಮಿಯ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಸತ್ಯ, ನಿಷ್ಠೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಭಾವನೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹರಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಇಡೀ ದೇಶವು ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಧರ್ಮಗಳು, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಸಹಜ ಸಹವಾಸದ ಒಂದು ನಾದ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. “ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಭಿನ್ನತೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಭಾರತದ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಎಂಬ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಗೌರವ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಬೇಕು,” ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವ ಸಮೂಹಗಳು ಹಬ್ಬದ ವೇಳೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯ ಬೀಜಗಳನ್ನು ಬೀಜಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಈ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸದುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವರು, “ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮವು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿ, ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿಸಲು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಅವಕಾಶವಾಗಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅವರು ಕೊನೆಗೆ, “ಈ ರಾಮನವಮಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂಬ ಶುಭಾಶಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.
