Bengaluru, May 25th 2023: 100 years in a brand’s journey marks a significant milestone in the annals of a company. The demand is certainly there, but for higher quality materials”. Bengaluru, 21st April, 2023: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Bangalore, the youngest B-school in India to have obtained international accreditation for its management programs from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) UK, celebrated the achievements of its graduates at its 14th convocation ceremony. 191 graduates from the MBA, Post Graduate Diploma in Management, and Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science & Analytics programs from the year 2022-2023 received their diplomas. • 2013 – 1913ನೇ ಇಸವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಬಸವ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಶರಣ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮಹಾಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
2017 – ಬಸವ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸುವರ್ಣಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಮತ್ತು ಬಸವ ಜಯಂತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರಿಂದ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಿತ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಹುಭಾಷಾ ವಚನ ಅನುವಾದ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 23 ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ವಚನ ಸಂಪುಟಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.
2019 – ಬಸವ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾದ ಮೆಲ್ಬೌರ್ನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
• 2022 – ಇಸ್ಲಾಂ ಧರ್ಮದ ಖುರೇಷಿ ಸಮಾಜ ಬಾಂಧವರ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಿ ಬಸವಣ್ಣನವರ ಏಕೈಕ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಸ್ಮಾರಕವಾದ ಬಸವ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರುಷ ಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಜೀರ್ಣೋದ್ಧಾರದ ಮನರುತ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಬಸವ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಸಾಧನೆ.
ಐದು ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಪರಂಪರಾಗತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದು ಬಂದಿರುವಂತೆ, ಈ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಸಹ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ ವೃತ್ತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರ ಮತ್ಥಳಿಗೆ ಭಾನುವಾರ ದಿನಾಂಕ 23-04-2023ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಪಂಡಿತಾರಾಧ್ಯ ಶಿವಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು, ಪೀಠಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಶ್ರೀ ತರಳಬಾಳು ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶಾಖಾ-ಶ್ರೀಮಠ, ಸಾಣೇಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಶಿವಾನುಭವ ಚರಮೂರ್ತಿ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವರುದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಬೇಲಿಮಠ ಮಹಾಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಶ್ರೀ ರಮೇಶ್ ಹಲಗಲಿ, PVSM, AVSM,SM, Former General Officer and Deputy Chief of Army Staff, Indian Army ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಗಣ್ಯರಿಂದ ಮಾಲಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೊಳಿಸಿವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಶ್ವಗುರು ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬಸವ ಜಯಂತಿ ಸಭಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10.00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಬಸವ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅನುಭವ ಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸದರಿ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಂತ ಹುಂಬರವಾಡಿ, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು, ಅಶೋಕ ಫೌಂಡ್ರಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ‘ಕಾಯಕ ರತ್ನ’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ವೀರಣ್ಣ ರಾಜೂರ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ 2023ರ “ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಬಸವ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ” ಭಾಜನರು, ಡಾ. ದಾಮೋದರ ಮೌಜೋ, ಜ್ಞಾನಪೀಠ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರು, ‘ವಚನ’ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸಂಪಾದಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೊ. ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಝಮಾನ್ ಅಜುರ್ದಾ, ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ, ‘ವಚನ’ ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸಂಪಾದಕರು ಇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ‘ಬಸವ ವಿಭೂಷಣ’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಪ್ರೊ ಜಿ.ಎಸ್. ಸಿದ್ಧಲಿಂಗಯ್ಯ ಇವರಿಗೆ ‘ಬಸವ ಭೂಷಣ’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಸವ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಟಣಾ ವಿಭಾಗ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿರುವ 14 ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಶರಣ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕಿ, ಶರಣ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸೋಣ, ಬೆಳೆಸೋಣ, ರಕ್ಷಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬಸವ ಸಮಿತಿ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಅರವಿಂದ ಜತ್ತಿ ಯವರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Although the fifteen million Jains estimated to live in modern India constitute a tiny fraction of its population, the message and motives of the jain perspective, its reverence for life in all forms, its commitment to the progress of human civilization and to the preservation of the natural environment continues to have a profound and pervasive influence on Indian life and outlook.
In the twentieth century, the most vibrant and illustrious example of Jain influence was that of Mahatma Gandhi, acclaimed as the Father of the Nation. Gandhi’s friend. Shrimad Rajchandra, was a Jain. The two great men corresponded on issues of faith and ethics. The central Jain teaching of ahimsa (non violence) was the guiding principle of Gandhi’s civil disobedience in the cause of freedom and social equality. His ecological philosophy found apt expression in his observation that the greatest work of humanity could not match the smallest wonder of nature.
Gurudev Sri Rabindranath Tagore says ” Mahaveera proclaimed in India, the message of salvation that religion is a reality and not a mere convention. The salvation comes from taking refuge in the true religion and not from observing the external ceremonies of the communities, that religion cannot regard any barriers betweeen man and man, as an eternal variety wonderous to say this teaching rapidly overtopped the barriers of the rays is abiding instict and conquered the whole country.
The principles of Lord Mahaveer are the need of the day and definitely each and every citizen will feel blessed by implementing those principles in their day-to day life. Life will never provide success directly. It can only provide possibilities and opportunities. It is upto us to convert them into the success and with the kind patronage from the Govt. and hand in hand support definitely we will make a better Karnataka in the future
Bhagwan Mahaveer Life and Humanity:
Bhagwan Mahaveer also known as Vardhamana. is the 24th Teerthankara of Jainism. He was the spiritual successor of the 23rd Teerthankara Parshvanatha Mahavira was born in the early part of the 6th century BCE into a Royal Jam family in Bihar, India. His mother’s name was Trishala and his father’s name was Siddhartha. They were lay devotees of Parshvanatha Mahavira abandoned all worldly possessions at the age of about 30 and left home in pursuit of spiritual awakening, becoming an ascetic
Mahavira practiced intense meditation and severe austerities for twelve and a half years, after which he attained Kevala Jnana (omniscience). He preached for 30 years and attained Moksha (liberation) in the 6th century BCE, although the year varies by sect. Bhagwan Mahaveer made religion simple and natural, free from elaborate rituals His teachings reflect the internal beauty and harmony of the soul. He taught the idea of supremacy of human life and stressed the importance of a positive attitude towards life. Bhagawan Mahaveer’s message of non-violence (Ahimsa), truth (Satya), non-stealing (Achaurya), celibacy (Brahmacharya), and non-possession (Aparigraha) is full of universal compassion.
The teachings of Bhagwan Mahaveer’s Non-Violence finds a lot of relevance all over the world. The universal slogan “LIVE & LET LIVE” given by Bhagwan Mahaveer finds more followers all over the world today.
When a person renounces the worldly life and all the attachments and is initiated into Monkhood or nun hood and follow all preaching’s of Lord Mahaveer, The Man is called Sadhu or Muni and the women is called Sadhvi. Their renunciation is total, which means they are completely detached from the social and worldly activities and they do not take part in those activities anymore. Instead they spend their spiritual time uplifting their souls and guiding householders such as ourselves how to uplift our souls and work towards Self. Social and Nation building. We Bangalorean’s are extremely lucky that we will be blessed as well as benefitted by their thorough knowledge on Jainism by Sadhus and Sadhvijis in person at the auspicious ceremony.
Jain Yuva Sangathan, Bangalore is a well known social service organization which is celebrating Bhagwan Mahaveer Janm Kalyanak Mahotsav bringing all sects of Jains on a single platform from past 34 years. The Govt. of Karnataka also recognized the efforts and celebrated the 2600th Janm Kalyanak Mahotsav of Bhagwan Mahaveer in the year 2001.
