ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಶಕ್ತಿ: ಜೈನ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಪಯಣಕ್ಕೆ ಭವ್ಯ ಗೌರವ

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರವು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ, ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ ಜೈನ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಘವು ಬಿಬಿಯುಎಲ್ ಜೈನ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ 40 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ ಪಯಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿ.ಬಿ. ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಜೈನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ 25 ವರ್ಷದ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಭವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದಿತು.

ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಗೌರವ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸುನಿಲ್‌ಜಿ ಸಿಂಗ್ (ನವದೆಹಲಿ), ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಪಿ.ಸಿ. ಮೋಹನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಲೆಹರ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಜಿ ಸಿರೋಯಾ ಅವರು ಗೌರವ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಗಣ್ಯರು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ ಜೈನ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಘದ ಸಾಧನಾಮಯ ಪಯಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿ, ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ನಿರಂತರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಚಂಪಾಲಾಲ್‌ಜಿ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಗಳು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಪೋಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳ ಸಮೂಹ ಸಹಕಾರವೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ, ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಘ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸಂಘದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಮರಣ ಸಂಚಿಕೆ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಹೇಮರಾಜ್‌ಜಿ (ಮನ್ನು ಭಾಯಿ) ಅವರು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆತಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಾಗರಿಕರನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವ ಸಂಘದ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.

ಆಚರಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್‌ಜಿ ಪಿರ್ಗಲ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇರುವ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದ ಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿ, ಈ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ದಶಕಗಳ ನಿಷ್ಠೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಗೌರವವೆಂದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಚಂಪಾಲಾಲ್‌ಜಿ ಜೈನ್ ಸಂಘದ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ 2,000ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಂದಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಶಾಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ 1,500ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಪೋಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅನೇಕ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕಂಗೊಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದರು.

ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭೋಜನ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೈ–ಟೀ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವೈಭವಕ್ಕೆ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು. ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮನಮೋಹಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದವು. ಖ್ಯಾತ ನಟರಾದ ನವೀನ್ ಶಂಕರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೇಯಸ್ ಮಂಜು ಅವರು ವೇದಿಕೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು.

ಹೈ ಆಕ್ಟೇವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ನ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಸಂಗೀತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನಪುಗಳ ಸುನಾಮಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಡಿಜೆ ಸಂಗೀತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಶಿಖರ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಹೃದಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು.

ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ, ಈ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ ಜೈನ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಘದ ಆತ್ಮ, ಪರಂಪರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ, ಸುಸೂತ್ರ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂತು.

Thousands of Devotees Seek Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Blessings on New Year

Bengaluru: Marking the New Year with devotion and faith, thousands of devotees thronged the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt at Jayanagar 5th Block to seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
On the auspicious Thursday, special abhisheka and other rituals were performed under the divine guidance and blessings of Parama Poojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Teertha Sripadangalavaru, and under the leadership of the Mutt’s senior administrator R.K. Vadeendracharya. The rituals were conducted in a spiritually charged atmosphere, drawing a massive gathering of devotees.

As part of the special New Year observances, the Brindavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy was adorned with Navaratna Kavacha and floral decorations. A newly installed Navaratna idol of Guru Raghavendra Swamy placed in front of the Brindavana was offered special worship. In addition, special poojas were performed to Lord Srinivasa seated on a golden throne and King Prahlada in a golden cradle, informed chief priest Sri Nandakishoracharya.

Thousands of devotees visited the sanctum, lit lamps, offered prayers and archana, and received Theertha, Phala, Mantrakshate and Annasantharpane Mahaprasada, seeking the divine grace of Sri Raghavendra Swamy on the occasion of the New Year.
The Mutt had made meticulous arrangements to ensure smooth darshan and distribution of prasada, enabling devotees to move in an orderly manner despite the heavy rush. Devotees expressed immense satisfaction with the well-organised facilities and lauded the efforts of the Mutt’s administration and staff.
Compared to regular Thursdays, an exceptionally large number of devotees participated in the rituals, turning the entire premises—inside the temple, the Mutt’s front yard, and surrounding areas—into a sea of devotees immersed in devotion.
Addressing the gathering, senior administrator R.K. Vadeendracharya prayed that the blessings of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy may remain eternally upon all devotees and service volunteers who took part in the special Thursday services.

Thousands of Devotees Receive Darshan and Prasada of Sri Raghavendra Swamy

Bengaluru: Thousands of devotees thronged the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, to seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy and receive prasada.

As per the directions of Parama Poojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru, the religious programmes were conducted under the leadership of the senior administrator of the Mutt, Sri R.K. Vadindracharya, on Thursday morning, December 25. The rituals included Panchamrita Abhisheka, Kanakabhisheka, special alankara, Mahamangalarati, and Dhanurmasa pooja, all performed with great devotion.

Following the rituals, Anna Santarpane (mass feeding) and prasada distribution were organised for the devotees. Thousands stood patiently in well-organised queues stretching from the front of the Mutt up to the Shalini Playground near the Ganesh temple, completing nearly two rounds, to have darshan. Devotees received phala, mantra akshate, teertha, and prasada, and expressed their happiness and appreciation for the meticulous arrangements made by the Mutt authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Priest Sri Nandakishoracharya said that the smooth conduct of the programme was made possible with the cooperation of the Jayanagar and JP Nagar police, who actively assisted in managing the crowd and facilitating darshan and prasada distribution.

In the evening, a series of religious and cultural events were held, including Rathotsava, Gajavahanotsava, Ashtavadhana, and Tottillu Pooja. As part of the cultural programme, a Dasavani recital by Smt. Shruti Arun and her team was held and was received with great appreciation.

Large numbers of devotees participated in all the festivities and received the divine blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. Sri Krishna Gundacharya, Dharmadhikari of the Mutt, was also present on the occasion.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: 1924ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 12ರಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ (ರಿ) ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ಗಡಿ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದು, ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಘ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅಪಾರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ. ರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರುನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿತು. ಈ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 8 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪದವೀಧರರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಬಂದು, ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ಗಳು, ವೈದ್ಯರು, ಐಎಎಸ್, ಐಪಿಎಸ್, ಕೆಎಎಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂಘದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸದ್ಯ ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷದ ಜೂನ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ವಸತಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘದ ಸೇವೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿದೆ. 1981ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ದೇವಾಂಗ ಸಂಘ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಎಲ್.ಕೆ.ಜಿ.ಯಿಂದ 10ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 2004ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು, 2007ರಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎ, ಬಿಕಾಂ, ಬಿಬಿಎ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳು ಲಭ್ಯವಿವೆ. 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಕಾನೂನು ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಹಾಗೂ 2024ರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿಕಾಂ–ಎಲ್‌ಎಲ್‌ಬಿ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸುಮಾರು 150 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೇವಾಂಗ ಕಾನೂನು ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಂಘದ ಶಾಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಶುಲ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಊಟ ಹಾಗೂ ವಸತಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸಿರುವ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅರಮನೆ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿನ ಗಾಯತ್ರಿ ವಿಹಾರ, ಗೇಟ್ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ–4ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Cosplay, global creators, Indian artists and live performances power an electrifying opening day at KTPO

Bengaluru’s pop-culture calendar got a major boost on Friday as the Maruti Suzuki Arena Bengaluru Comic Con, powered by Crunchyroll, opened to an enthusiastic response at the KTPO Trade Centre, Whitefield. Fans poured in from early morning, turning the venue into a vibrant hub of comics, anime, gaming and fandom.

The sprawling convention centre came alive with colour as cosplayers of all ages stepped out in elaborate avatars, ranging from classic superheroes and wizarding icons to anime favourites and original characters. Families, students and young professionals mingled freely, lending the event a festive, carnival-like atmosphere.
This year’s edition features a strong lineup of international guests, who drew steady crowds through the day. Actor Robert Capron, known globally for his role as Rowley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film series, interacted warmly with fans, sharing anecdotes and posing for photographs. Renowned comic book artist Peter Nguyen, whose credits span DC and Marvel titles, kept audiences engaged with live sketching sessions and signings. Adding to the star appeal was Chloé Hollings, the French-Australian actress and voice artist behind Widowmaker in Overwatch, who spoke about her journey in gaming, film and voice acting.

Equally prominent was the spotlight on Indian creators, with more than 20 homegrown artists, illustrators and storytellers showcasing their work. Popular names such as Savio Mascarenhas, Alicia Souza and Sumit Kumar (Bakarmax) connected directly with readers, highlighting the growing strength of India’s comic and graphic art ecosystem.
The opening day schedule was packed with panel discussions, creator interactions, anime quizzes and special sessions with Amar Chitra Katha. The Bengaluru Comic Con Cosplay Contest emerged as a major crowd-puller, with participants competing for a daily cash prize of ₹30,000.
Live performances added to the buzz, with hip-hop, rap, experimental music and illusion acts keeping energy levels high. Fans also thronged immersive experience zones, including the Amazon Prime Video Fallout Experience, Maruti Suzuki Arena Zone, Crunchyroll Experience Zone and the NODWIN Gaming Arena.
The convention continues on Saturday with comedy showcases, music performances and the final round of the Indian Championship of Cosplay – Bengaluru Qualifier, promising another high-octane day for pop-culture enthusiasts.
